Looks almost too "East Melbourne" when you walk in, but understandable given that it actually is in East Melbourne. Coffee was excellent and food looks good too. Recommended.

I have been here many times. The food and service is great. They make a great coffee too. This place is always busy because like me, when you find a place that is very good, you return.

The avocado dish was absolutely delicious, excellent balance of flavours. The Californian super salad, too, was incredible. Highly recommended for these two dishes alone.

Great experience. Waitresses having a bad day but still was professional and tried to smile. Great food!

What one does after running a Marathon? Brunches! That's what we do and the closest option was Square and Compass.

Quite a crowded morning, we had to wait for almost 15 minutes to get a table.

This place has amazing vibe. Attendants are friendly and helpful, music is good and coffee is excellent.

Ordered a Potatoes Roesti with Salmon, Laksa Fried Rice, Chicken Schnitzel and Omelette

Easily, the smoked salmon was the winning dish of the day. Good flavors going quite well with each other. Second best was the Fried Rice. It was yummy and nicely spiced, though couldn't see much of chicken.

Schnitzel and Omelette were pretty simple and easy food and had not had much going with it.

We definitely loved the food and the prices are quite decent to taste and portions.

They have Vegan and Vegetarian options but quite limited.

Ate here twice, different dish each time. Both were amazing, imaginative, full of flavour, and priced well.
I'll be back next time I visit Melbourne

Never had a bad feed or coffee here, has a great humming coffee vibe. Service here has Always been excellent!

This place is beyond amazing! The service, food and coffee is 10/10. I never had any cravings during both my pregnancies, but then I discovered the chilli scrambled eggs here.the best I’ve ever had and I couldn’t wait for my obstetrician check up each fortnight, as that meant I got to visit this place and enjoy a great coffee and the chilli scrambled eggs! Highly recommend:)

Had brunch here on the weekend and it was fantastic. The food and coffee was really good. You can see the kitchen at work from the seating area. Everything looked to be made fresh, I ordered the chicken burger and I watched as a fresh chicken breast was dipped in flower and coated with the batter and fried from the table. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Was here for brunch on a weekday recently, I sat down out the back in the nice little outdoor seating area, the staff were friendly and the food was good, and I didn't feel rushed even as I took a couple of hours to read the paper while drinking coffees, not a lot of places have that patience.

Busy for a reason. Great coffee, just wish less people thought the same.lovely cakes and food too with very banterful staff!

Food very nice, but pricey. Also need to make 'hot' drinks 'hot! Good atmosphere and quick service which makes it great venue for lunch break.

Worth the awful parking (right next to a hospital, so it's not gonna be great). Definitely a great find.

Best breakfast cafe in East Melb. This used to be my local cafe and I recently moved across town. I still come back here for the best Golden latte in Melbourne. The mix that they use is just delicious. My go to is the avocado and poached eggs every time. They never disappoint. Always super busy but the staff are attentive and super friendly.

Great Vibe, Prompt service and great priced yummy food. Latte is nice (my favourites are Neighbours on Inkermann, Dana on Carlisle St & Abbey Rd on Acland St-try em and you'll understand why). As per previous post, be mindful of the surcharge on weekends and holidays

Good coffee good food, and lovely staff. Just be aware of the Sat (10%) and Sun and public holiday (15%) surcharge. Takes the prices from the cusp of reasonable to starting to push it a little. Eg today almond milk cap and a large strong latte came to $11.60.
