59One of the best breakfasts ever. Smashed Avo with bacon egg and very refreshing salad, absolutely fantastic
You should be checking that people are signing in with the COVID QR code. Seeing multiple people walk in and not sign in is not great, especially considering close proximity to the hospital precinct.
Excellent short black considering it was in a take away cup due to covid lock down, not my favourite way of having my coffee, full of flavour with a lingering after taste.
Friendly service, wish it was closer to home.
After a really stressful and difficult day, I thought I’d surprise my Mrs with a coffee and a desert but I suppose if you’re new to this cafe, you’re not priority. 1pm today. There were 2 people - only 2 people including myself. I walked in waited patiently to order my coffee next with my mask and scanned myself in - thought I did the right thing. 3 new customers walk in whilst I was waiting, the guy taking orders makes quick eye contact with me and chooses to ignore me altogether and continued to take the others order! What’s your thought process? There’s no menu on the wall to look at, there’s literally no other reason anyone would queue up except to get a drink. Maybe you should add a sign that we prioritise regular patrons and don’t care for new faces? I’m not sure what other reason you could have for making eye contact, the turning away to serve people who’ve clearly just walked thru the frkn door. Cmon dudes
We had the salmon poke bowl, and we went back twice. The greens, the mayo, yum. However, the food could be a little warmer when it gets to our table.
Good food, friendly staff, wheelchair accessible toilet (but main entry to venue not wheelchair friendly I think).
Friendly service, good coffee, reasonable range of food, scrambled eggs were very nice. Recommended.
Service was perfect, just the right amount of interaction without feeling rushed. Food was delicious and the coffee divine.
Delish! The Californian (Mexican) superfood salad was so good and filling. The salmon with potato rosti also fabulous! Will return
Good coffee, great flavour, unique menu options and a lovely layout, accompanied by friendly service. Looking forward to returning.
The food here is good, fairly decent percent of vegetarian options too. Normally I would give 5 stars through and through if the establishment is doing a reasonably great job. While the wait staff were friendly and helpful, I couldn't go past most staff in the kitchen, not wearing the masks properly while working. I think it is fair to charge a surcharge for Sunday, it could be best to mention it at the time of booking or before payment, only noticed it just because, I had a receipt. Many thanks for serving us, there is certainly room to improve!
We had lunch here today, toasted sandwiches from the gods, friendly service, roomy and comfortable.
Love it.
Great coffee, croissant was served warm and the eggs Benny was simple and delicious. Great value as well for a decent breakfast. Lovely staff certainly helps as well.
Incredibly awful experience, popped in at 10am on Cup Day and purchased two coffees. Whilst I was waiting out the front I overheard one of the staff who presented as the owner or manager in a grey tshirt, talking to a table making a comments about what I was wearing (a tshirt and AFL length shorts) and laughing it off with the customers in a homophobic manner. I will never come back, and I encourage anyone from the LGBTQIA+ community to steer clear.
I suggest that you encourage your staff to refrain from laughing at the expense of your paying customers, or at least try to say it quietly so everyone at the cafe can’t hear.
Lovely food and great service, coffee is a little average but otherwise great Cafe and ambience right near the hospital.
Good vibe, friendly service and great coffee, all within a moment's stroll from the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens
The food here is so good, like so good, unfortunately the coffee has gone down hill. It seems to be on week days, I am not sure if it's because different staff are working then. The last two coffees I have had had a really weird taste like something is not right with the coffee. I probably won't go back anymore for coffee unless I go and eat of a weekend.
Always bustling, the food is outstanding and rarely disappoints, presentation is exceptional and the coffee's are on point. Outside, inside, pooch friendly options, eat in, takeaway. It all works! One of the best hideaways in East Melbourne!
Really good coffee and tasty breakfast. I took their advice to try their crunchy peanut butter and tomato breakfast dish and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of space inside as well as dog-friendly outdoor seating. Not too pricey either:)
Incredible chips and the chicken burger was delicious. Nice little garden out back to eat and enjoy a coffee.
