We had a bad experience at this place. It was my first time trying Spud Bar I don't recommend going to this place, at least to the one in South Melbourne. The girl attending was in a horrible mood and had an attitude, she didn't provide a good service at all. You could feel the lack of love for the job. In addition, we ordered the Chicken Parm and they had run out of it. We then got to "Create Your Own", we got cheese and she literally put two small pieces, it's a shame. Finally, the ingredients weren't fresh at all.

Absolutely over delivered. Soul food. Really hit the spud. *spot with staff that know their spuds. I mean stuff.beautiful

Spud Bar in South Melbourne is usually really good. It's affordable & it's fresh ready to go so it's quick, healthy & good food. I usually get a spud w/toppings & sometimes I get one of the different sauces to put on the top ie. Bolognese sauce, or chilli beans. The sauces turn it into a really filling wholesome meal for a few bucks extra. Yep I recommend Spud Bar. Though sometimes they are stingy with amounts, specifically the sour cream? For some reason they get stingy & want an extra dollar for something you've already paid for. Other than that, they're really good.

Had a basic bowl with white potato’s which includes melted butter, cheese, bacon, spring onion and sour cream. I added beetroot and corn so an additional cost was charged but it was absolutely delish. This store is lovely and clean and service with a smile! Thank you

I still looking for “beef chilli con carne’’ it just has nachos from Coles and spinach. The worst bowl ever. Ok

I first ordered the bolognese potato which was super yummy the portion size was generous too.
The lady that was working at the time was very hard working friendly and attentive. The eating space was nice and clean and overall a very pleasant experience.

Tried for the first time today, ordered the tex mex. The lady who served me was nice but gave the equivalent of two teaspoons of the chilli con carne, so I basically paid for an overpriced bowl of sweet potato. Disappointing experience.

Ordered Hawaiian, it was fresh, tasty and a good serving size, and the lady who served me was super friendly! Highly recommend!

Ordered at this place through a delivery service. Got two poke bowls. One was completely missing, only got one bowl. And the one delivered wasn’t even complete, missing pulled pork and peas. Couldn’t think of anything easier to make than a poke bowl.:) the delivery wait made it even worse, with many other food options closing when the delivery arrived.

This place has gone downhill since I was here last. Wilted, spinach, mushrooms that are shriveled, chickpeas have no flavour and I would never pay $18 for this ever again.

Delicious food at a beautiful spot! The cosy vibes in this location are amazing I love it. Highly recommend going here with a bunch of friends in the winter time for a cosy meal and atmosphere.

Quality at this place has gone severely downhill in the last few months. The food is not fresh and the portions are so small. It wasn’t like this before. I think new people have taken over and are potentially cutting corners. And from all the reviews underneath, I don’t think I’m the only person who thinks this way.
Would be amazing if the owners fixed the issues because people actually liked eating here but won’t come back if this vibe continues.

This place is the worst spudbar store. Half of the corn was gone off (smelled horrible), all other vegetables were not fresh. I ordered home style bolognese but where is the bolognese sauce? Potato was not warm, the bowl was half empty. I won't go back there.

Kinda disappointed. Never had a bad experience from spuds bar but this spuds bar was a bit worse than my expectation. I don’t blame on the staff because she was working by herself receiving Uber delivery and our order as well. Food I ordered was meat lover but there’s only some bacon and I didn’t see other protein in it. Last time when I got from Richmond store it was very nice and colour full but in south Melbourne potatoes were not smashed and small ingredients. If you wanna experience proper spuds bar food, better to go different stores.

I was desperate for dinner before jumping on the freeway home in peak hour. Wish I’d gone down the road. I wasn’t even able to eat it the potatoes were over cooked and so dry, I didn’t even know you could do that to potatoes. The chilli bean sauce was horrible and salty and that is normally my favourite part at other Spud bars. The ‘bar’ part of the franchise I thought meant fresh available ingredients. I’m so disappointed.

Food tasted a bit not off but not fresh and theres such a chemical smell from the shop its like u can almost taste it. I dont think harsh chemicals need to be used around food for saftey reasons theres PLENTY of good safe options and vinegar is just one option. But food safe

I've tried this SpudBar twice through a food delivery service. The first time I ordered one each of the chocolate and nutella brownies - Both weren't overly fresh and a bit stale. Still edible though. Ordered a bottle of regular Sunkist and got sent the sugar free version. My second time was trying a spud. I ordered "The Classic". The spud turned up barely warm. The butter on top hadn't even melted, so that means it wasn't even hot when the toppings were put on in the shop. The delivery was less than 10 minutes drive away and very prompt, so it cannot be blamed on the driver. It also had incorrect toppings - No corn or cabbage. It did include bacon, which wasn't specified on the ingredients list. I'm not a vegetarian, but imagine if someone ordered this as a veg option and this turned up. It seems like attention to detail isn't a big thing here, so I'd stay away if you have allergies or dietary requirements. The toppings that were there (tasty cheese, sour cream, spring onion and bacon) were all quite substantial in portion, so that's a positive.

Not sure how you can mess up the same order twice in a row, but here we are…

I rarely complain but having a pulled pork bowl with no distinguishable pulled pork isn’t it. The only reason I know it wasn’t completely skipped was the faint taste of barbecue but there was next to no actual bits of pork. To top it off the server was coughing (quite badly) and did not wash her hands which really put me off. I used to love spud bar but this was nail in the coffin for me.
