SpudBAR reviews
46Worst spud bar I’ve ever had! Potato was rubbery and chewy, little ingredients on top, spring onion cut into lengths rather than rings.
FYI, hours on maps are wrong! They don't seem to be open on Sundays. The food is delicious, but this store has recently reduced their portion sizes, so I no longer feel like the price is worth it. Last time I visited, I was given basically half a bowl of food. They need to increase their portion sizes and go back to what they used to serve.
The portion sizes don’t even come close to matching their pictures on Uber eats. I ordered the pulled pork and there was very little to be found in the meal.
Ordered a bowl online and the portion size was significantly smaller than I've had at other locations, like genuinely half. Also didn't receive extras ordered. Felt very overpriced for what was in effect half a meal. To be fair though it was very tasty, but other locations seem to be much better.
I like this place, it’s one of my go to places. The only reason I’m only giving them 4 stars is that they use processed chicken, that square cut stuff that comes in a tub but there are plenty of other options there, other than that it’s one of my favourite places to eat in St Kilda
Tried the Tex Mex Spud with sweet potato it was soooo yummy. I can't wait to try some of the other spuds.
Amazing vibes and service, very reasonably priced. I have had takeaway from SpudBar every day for the last week. My new go to! Highly recommend!
Is this place under new management? !? !? What happened to the quality? I was a regular customer here not anymore i guess. Beetroot and peas were off
Amazing service, found this little gem while walking my dog.
Will be ticking this place off as a new local spot.
Highly recommend
Ive been enjoying spud Bar for years now, and this was my first experience at the St kilda one. I ordered the Tex mex spud, and basically got alot of potato and sour cream, and BARELY any beef con carne, which basically made it flavourless. Very disappointing, won't be back to this one.
This by far is the best spud bar I have ever gone to great service great food my favourite restaurant ever
I don't know expected more after reading some reviews. Also the chicken apparently is "RSPCA approved" whatever that means but it really tasted like the cheapest chicken around.the texture is like cardboard. Super airy. Have a look at the picture. That my friends, is not high quality meat. Also the diced bacon was cheap as chips.
Probably a better place for vegan and vegetarian options.
I won't be coming back though.ps.had the "Chicken Parma" bowl.
The Spud bar in St. Kilda is the best one!
The food is plentiful, very delicious and never raw or cold. Chiken Parma is the best and that is my favourite.
Salt and pepper available on the table and it's important if someone eats more salty than others. If you eat in they serve the food in normal plate with normal cutleries. No plastic and paper waste. Environment friendly.
The restaurant is clean and nice.
The service is very good, always fast and the guy is extremely kind!
I am coeliac so extra stars for them bc the place is 100% coeliac safe.
Something that I would never think I’d try! But once’s tried it was super different from everything I’ve eaten. Super super healthy! The service there is so friendly I’d recommend and will definitely go again!
As experienced business consultants and advisors we are of the belief that this business does not have what it takes to last into the long term and that it is bleeding cash. The business owner was approached by our founder and given our leaflet with the desire to assist them to make this location of Spud Bar work. We have not heard from the operators. We guess they must have a lot of faith in God and feel God will help them out instead.
We hope you know more about business than we do, so your great eatery can continue to satisfy its customers into the long term.
Not recommended! Just went for a pulled pork spud and it was such a waste of money…. They shred pork into a lot of sauce and when they give it to you it’s just basically a lot of sauce and a lot of baked potato and sour cream… not sure why they’re doing this bearing in mind that I had a better experience in this place before…
On recommendation this was our first time visit for us and because of the pandemic we opted for a take-away and, on such a lovely day, we had spud lunch at the nearby Botanical garden. My vegie spud, a Chili Bean Salsa, was amazingly delicious. Excellent place for vegans/vegetarians and super friendly customer service. For a healthy meal this place is hard to beat.
Best spud bar I’ve been to hands down. Every single time it’s perfect! Don’t go to any others - this Spud Bar is amazing! Highly recommend (the team are so friendly too!)
Outstanding customer service and every spud is made with such care ensuring they are perfect very time!
I just can't resist stopping by Spudbar for a quick lunch when I'm in need of something fast and healthy!
I've been here many times, and must say I think the ambience/decor is much nicer now after the renovations. The staff are always pretty friendly and careful in checking what toppings we want. My go to spud at the moment is the Chilli bean & Salsa. Although I do love the Hawaiian too. I'd also recommend trying half sweet potato for something a little different.
I'd always highly recommend Spudbar!
