We have been part of the Springside Community for about 3 years now. I have worked with a few schools in the area, and I chose to move my son to this school in grade 3, due to the amazing support and programs they have in place. The school is so inclusive of all children and families. They work with the families to ensure their child is supported in every way needed, including extra help or extension. The facilities are great - science lab and food tech room are a great asset that many primary schools do not have. The teachers and leadership team are easy to communicate with and approachable. Any issues that arise are dealt with quickly. Can’t recommend this school enough!

The lady who is sitting in the reception is the most bad thing happened for this school. Her name is Maryanne. She is never be nice with any one coming through the reception never smile or welcome anyone (everyone knows reception employee should be nice or even pretend that).
Even with the kids she looks like very frustrated when they ask for something and when she deals with them in the sickbay kids wish not to find her there.
The only mistake of springside primary school is having this lady in the reception area because this is where the school deals with parents and guardians and this lady dealing very bad with the public.

I was a prep student at this school in 2015. It was a lovely school! The teachers were kind, the classrooms were so nice to be in and overall it was such a nice school. But back then, I was an excellent reader. There were times where my prep teacher (Miss Ford) would ask me to read to her, and she’d either put me up a level or put me down a level. I always got put up a level and by june, I had already reached the top of the levels. My parents asked the schools multiple times if they could give me more challenging books to read and even considered asking to move me up a grade but the school couldn’t do anything. My parents were already building a new house in a different place at the time, so i had to change schools anyways and at my new school I was challenged a lot. We are still very confused why Springside didn’t allow me to be challenged, but it doesn’t worry me anymore since I am now in year 7 with the choice of what I can read. I am also very confused why they went from a P-9 school to a P-6 school. It’s not a complaint, I just want to know because Springside college was and forever will be the og. All the other classes at the school were so much fun and i enjoyed them a lot. My most favourite was Performance Arts. It was so much fun being able to dress up in fun costumes and sing and dance with all my classmates. This school will always be remembered as my first and forever remembered as Springside College!

This is a school that can really afford to be generous.
I’ve been to others schools before and not all schools are like Springside.

I’ve seen how they base majority of their priorities onto their students.
They took care of me and gave me all the support I needed and the help I received was just perfect!
Magically they knew just what I needed before I even knew myself, although it was a lot to handle because all a sudden I am feeling bombarded with all this overwhelming support that I had been deprived of in the past.

Any complaints about this school. I could only imagine how wonderful it would be to be desensitised by only the best. I would love to have nothing better to complain about!

In this case any complaints are just a pathetic excuse for a victim. (Unless you want to be a victim yourself)

It is much easier to appreciate. It would only be silly to make it harder.

I went here.it was ok for majority of the time but there were some questionable times.i feel that the school could sometimes be a lil cheap, especially on art supplies but now i think it will be better, considering they got rid of yr 7 up.

This school is very poor as there are 3 acting /assistant principals who are all trying to push their own agenda to try and justify Thier inflated pay packet. The Monday morning assemblies are complete waste of time where no matters of student or parent concern or interest are discussed. They have still done nothing to address the over priced uniforms.
The school has too many administrators and not enough teachers. Everything is too hard.
I have found the current principals to be dishonest and lacking any empathy They all pedal the company line and band together to try and intimidate parents with genuine concerns. They have not implemented one policy to help the students feel comfortable in attending the school. For this school to improve a complete turnover of current administration is required urgently to get people in who have a passion for students education and welfare.

This school is the best the principal is very nice and caring the office ladies are very special the teachers are extremely friendly and accepting. While the school nurse is very caring the best school I have ever been too. I regret moving to brookside but SPRINGSIDE is my real school and I would accept it forever. This school is very protective and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who is planning to move their

I broke a window while I was there and got suspended for a joke, school needs to stop dishing out detentions and suspensions for nothing. At least I managed to get out, although 17 suspensions and countless detentions on my record have hampered my chances of recognition and consolidation.

This school is amazing, BUT some of the students have some real bad grudges against people for NO REASON. Like i said, its such a good school just wish we could enjoy it more without these certain insane students. My friend was threatened and told the coordinators but they didn't do anything because the students hadn't actually physically done anything. Yet. Feels like they're just waiting for someone to get hurt before doing anything about this problem student.

Glad I went to primary school at Parkwood green, my younger siblings go here and I honestly have to teach them more than the school does.

Lots of great teachers and students, but teachers need to stop looking at
the uniforms & start focusing on bullying & misbehaved students instead of targeting thing that aren't as important.

School has Expensive uniforms, asbestos in portables, zero tolerance on bullying but if bullying occurs they can't do anything about it. This school has no direction. It is a shame a new school is lacking leadership.

This school does have a very good education system, well shouldn't they all? If it is a public school they follow what department of education tells them to. So you would expect that. I am taught very well, with strict teachers that motivate and are in a good mood to teach the students, but there are some teachers that are strict in a negative manner and don't care about our learning. Their typically very moody as well. I was happy with all my teachers in 2017, but 1 issue is that we replaced our science teacher 4+ times in a single year, our school couldn't even hirer a full time science teacher, not even to teach just for the rest of the year. So they hired teachers who weren't even trained in the field. So I believe now I'm a year behind in Science and so is rest of my class because of this. This schools teachers seem to give out detentions even for the most unnecessary reasons, some things are just really unnecessary, like wearing the wrong coloured hairbands, or wearing branded socks with logos.it's like it is a joke to them and this is not okay. The uniform is implemented so that everyone is equal, so everyone has same clothing and can't be judged but then the school jacket is $100 dollars. Like are you serious? Their making a fortune off the supplier. You can go to Kmart and buy socks, t-shirt, jacket, pants, shorts, hat, gloves for less then $100. Most of the student helpers are very nice and help not just the ones who need it, but everyone in the classroom
Sometimes I feel the teachers cared more about our appearance like the appropriate uniform then they did for education, if we fell and scraped our shoulder they would probably complain more about the ripped uniform and make sure you had new uniform then your scraped shoulder. The First Aid ladys are a joke though, i have seen many people break bones sent to sick bay to head back to class with a icepack. BECAUSE THATS GOING TO FIX A BROKEN BONE. Either untrained or just cant be bothered organising a Ambulance because if they tripped over a raised footpath school pays for bills. We already know how stingy they are with money. (Cant hire a full time teacher for a year even) The school has a few issues, which can be fixed with a good leader. If a company has a good manager, it will grow, this is not a good example of that. There only lucky its a school where its compulsary to attend or they be deadass shut down by now. But if i didny come to this school, k wouldnt be who i am today (Probably could have did better who can tell). And my friends, if they didn't influence me to do things good and bad, I wouldn't be the person I am today, so I thank springside for having such great students here! Honestly, the only good part of this school is working with the maintance people at breaks, so much fun.
