I had my 70th Birthday celebration in the Main Dining Room upstairs. The occasion was Sunday lunch. The Spread Eagle made the day a great event. The food was excellent, the sevice was first rate and the staff were always accommodating. It is a great venue and the Spread Eagle have to be complimented.

We went to the Spready for steak night Wednesday. The pub has an awesome vibe. Great staff and service! Awesome food. Bar and restaurant is immaculately clean. Thank you!

Really nice pub with good location, easy to access and so popular. It can get really busy, so recommend to make a booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Friendly staff and good food too (and you can split bills too) Will definitely visit again

An incredible experience for our small function!

Last week, at short notice, the Spread Eagle hosted 22 of us us for dinner in their lovely upstairs private dining room. The space (made available at no charge) was perfect - private, good space for mingling and with the convenience of our own bar and bathrooms.

During arrangements the staff were responsive and flexible, and on the night staff were welcoming, efficient and professional. Food was delicious, with lots of compliments from guests.

Highly recommend.

First time at the Spready. Good attentive service and the food was great. Well worth a visit if you are in the Richmond area.

Staff here are exceptional. Great service, fun banter, helpful and knowledgeable. With so many pub options to choose from, these are the qualities that make the difference for me.

On Wednesday 8th July my friends and I had dinner.
This was the last night before the latest coronavirus lockdown. Tara was just able to give us a booking.
We enjoyed a wonderful night. Ellie, Tara and Clementine provided excellent service on what was a very busy night. Nothing was too much trouble.
All three meals, steak and chicken parmagiama were delicious. The Carlton Draught was well poured and at just the right temperature. The bottle of shiraz we enjoyed was sensational. The ambience at the Spreadeagle is very good. I have been going to the Spreadeagle since the late 1970's off and on
The Spreadeagle is the best inner suburban hotel that I have been to.

I haven’t been to the spready for a while. The service is excellent, friendly and efficient.

We ordered some potato cakes and some which were crispy and hot. The rice wine vinegar was a treat.

The gin and sofa was good and my passion fruit sour was a serious lip smacker hahaha whoa!

The crowd is friendly and this place is definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

I went here tonight w my friend after walking past this pub a thousand times. Why? Hahahaha

We've been missing out!

The service here was spot on! The beer and wine perfect and the food amazing, it really felt like fine dining without the pretence or the price tag.

We both tried different steaks, mine was grass fed 400g man size, and it was cooked to perfection. My friend also tried a 300g steak and it was equally as good.

The potato mash was ok, but the salads were fresh and tasty.

We have discovered another amazing foodie place in Richmond yahoooo hahaha

Outstanding service and hospitality. Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Can cater full tours for you or you can help design your own. Accommodation is superb and has everything you need. Great wineries, caves and sights to see very close by. Simon and Kerry have done a fabulous job and clearly love & are passionate about their business

Really great pub. Extensive menu, which can sometimes be a red flag, but not in this case. Super tasty food and loads of options for people with allergies and food intolerances - all very clearly labelled. The portion sizes are incredible. However don't over order as you can't take any left overs with you. Really enjoyed our experience here and will be back!

I ordered takeaway from here during lockdown and it was the highlight of my day. Their chocolate fondant cake was absolutely delicious and it was big enough for two.although I finished it myself!

Dont know much about the hotel but the food is pretty good and service above average. The char grilled steak burger and sandwiches were very good. Bread was nice and meat was done just right. Prices are really reasonable.

A must visit if in the area. Fantastic food great selection of beers on tap and a top wine list. Definitely a favourite of mine.

Acoustic covers on the weekend make for a fun night out.

Visited for the streak night and it was absolutely delicious. The service only enhanced the experience, our waitress was an absolute delight. Will definitely be back.

Starting with the name which is amazing this venue only gets better! Proper pub at the front and out back a dining area you'd be proud to bring your mum to. Thursday night is raffle night with tickets handed out every drink purchase! If you're feeling lucky bring a date! Double your odds of taking something home that night.

This is a fantastic pub that serves tremendous restaurant style food. We were there for lunch, and without a reservation, ate next to the open fire in the public bar area. Great atmosphere, food, and super friendly staff. Parking shouldn't be a problem. Good wine selection.
