Spicy Korea

Sadly I went today and fried chicken came out COLD. I suspect the chicken was cooked before the rice was ready and was sitting there for a long while. Used to be my favourite work lunch. I hope this improves, will try again in a month or so.

If you want Asian food that is value for money AND tastes amazing then you have to try this place! Their kimchi pork fried rice and chicken bulgogi are to die for! Not to mention their fried chicken! Service is very fast and staff are very nice. I've been here so many times and tried so many different things and I've never been disappointed!

I was told by staff over the phone, the last order will be at 9: 30pm for dine-in. Reached the restaurant at 8: 45pm and got told by the staff only Take-away is available. Used to like this place but will never go here again.

Small but cozy place. Great place to hang out with friends. Bulgogi pork + calamari and spicy fried chickens are our guilty pleasure. And side salad is another plus, clean, fresh and appetizing.

Food was average. I had the spicy pork bulgogi and the rice was a bit dry. This is probably due to me coming in during the later hours so I'd recommend coming just after peak hours where everything is relatively fresher. The spice level is definitely on the milder side, I couldn't really taste it. Also ordered a milkis that didn't come out at all.

As one of 100% Korean, I have never eaten or seen this kind of Korean food before.
After receiving my food, I asked the staff what the food I got was.
It might be not bad for non-Koreans but you should be disappointed if you have visited Korea and tried real Korean food, especially kind of soup.

평점 믿고 가서 순두부찌개 시켰더니 웬 순두부 넣은 된장찌개 같은 무언가를 주었는데요, 암튼 한국인으로서 처음 보는 음식 먹었습니다.

Get the fried chicken, you won't regret it. The rest of the dishes are great too. I like the consistent quality across their menu. The Bibimbap is probably my go to Bibimbap if I'm in the city simply coz it's easier to get to this place compared to some other Korean restaurants more tightly located in the CBD.

My new go-to place. ”Light” meals are perfect size and cheap! I’m going to have to resist coming here every day now that I know the place is so good.

I visited Melbourne over Christmas with my family. We had plenty of meals at different venues all which could not be faulted. The family unanimously voted Spicy Korea the number one restaurant for flavour, value, cleanliness and service. The food was 10 out of 10)

Fried rice is black and tastes bitter. I have eaten the same fried rice many times in their restaurant, and I know very well that their chef has been cooking fried rice for too long this time. This fried rice can't be swallowed, I communicate with their waiters. I have to say that this is the worst service I have ever seen. They don't recognize it and the attitude makes me have nothing to say.

Very busy little cafe and it was delicious. Good food, reasonable size serving for the price and quick service. Suitable for individuals or small groups.

I do like the spicy pork bulgogi complete with rice, salad and kim chi. There is quite a lot of exhaust from the kitchen which funnels through the eating area and can make it a bit warm in summer particularly. Also they charge a minimum of $15 on EFTPOS which annoys me as most of the lunch meals are less than this and I don't see any reason for them to do it other than to make you buy something else.

Absolutely delicious Korean fried chicken! The decor is extremely chilled and relaxed. Staff are polite and friendly. We ordered the spicy fried chicken and Soy fried chicken, both come with kimchi, rice and salad - just enough for one full meal. Will be coming here again next time we're in Melbourne to satisfy our fried chicken cravings!

Good food and the "light meal" option was big! It's gonna be our new go-to place. The waitress was weird tho. She didn't say a thing for the whole time she was serving us But we didn't mind as we got our food quick and it was cheap too!

Wonderful place. Wonderful food. I had Chicken Bulgogi, Spicy Korean Fried chicken and Seafood pancake. All together with Kimchi and Chilli oil was a delicious combination.

Tbh, I wouldn't recommend: I had a tasteless bibimbap, and friends had a dry chicken Katsu. Expensive for comparable quality, lackluster service and cramped seating arrangements.

I have been looking for a good Korean restaurant in Melbourne for months and was always disappointed. But not this time! Fresh and hearty Korean food, tasty and seasonned perfectly. Good portions too! And the service is really nice and polite. I recommend, and will go back soon to try more of their large and appetizing menu.
