Spicy Korea reviews
53Small but cosy place. Great place to hang out with friends. Bulgogi pork + calamari and spicy fried chickens are our guilty pleasure. And side salad is another plus, clean, fresh and appetizing.
Good spread of Korean street food. Love the popcorn fried chicken (boneless) and seafood Korean pancake. Good environment for family and big groups.
Nice spot for lunch if you happen to be in the city. Well priced with a good balance of rice meat and veggies. I got the beef bulgogi in spicy. Taste was pretty good, not too spicy I may try the soy seasoning instead next time. Worth a repeat visit
Such outstanding customer service to go with the delicious food, ate here 2 nights in a row as it was that good!
Always love the spicy crispy chicken light meal.

One of the better lunch places in the CBD. I go here regularly as a CBD worker and this hits all the marks: tasty food, generous portions, fairly well priced (~$16 mains) and quite fast. The light meals they call it as enough for lunch and recommend the spicy crispy chicken and the beef bulgogi. The only thing is this place can get really packed during weekday lunches so watch out.
This place is great. The food was fantastic and it came quickly. What you want for a workday lunch.
Poor customer service. Food hasn't even arrived and I thought about walking out since service person is so rude. So rude especially as a korean where politeness is so important. Only trying food since I am starving.
Okay food arrived. Got pork bulgogi. It's terrible. Lacking flavour, not much meat. Just bad. Too much sugar.
As I look around I see place has no Koreans eating here except me. Sigh. Got to remember
to nnever come here again.
Their soy garlic chicken was amazing, and their crispness on their chicken was perfect.
I personally found their bibimbap a little too watery for me. I think they put really juicy vegetables in — which if you like a watery (but flavourful) bibimbap, then you’ll like theirs.
Their japchae was sweet and addictive ️ if I visit Melbourne again and feel like Korean, I’d feel safe about coming again.
Bulgogi beef was nice. I think their spicy squid and seafood soup the taste could be stronger and more spicy. I prefer white rice too. They have black and brown rice
Ordered Sizzling Calamari Bulgogi, Spring Onion & Mustard Chicken (medium size), and Kimchi Stew with Pork for lunch on Monday. Total 63.50 AUD. There is a surcharge for Card payments.
The Kimchi Stew with Pork was served with 2 bowls of red rice. The Kimchi Stew with Pork has a nice tangy taste that you would expect from Kimchi stew. The tofu was bland. The pork was overcooked and the slices were inconveniently large.
The Sizzling Calamari Bulgogi's calamari were perfectly cooked and tender, that was the best thing about the dish. The sauce was just sweet and packed no heat. Overall a bit underseasoned, and the bulk of the dish was cabbage and onions.
The Spring Onion & Mustard Chicken were juicy, however they lacked crunch and the sauce were too little.
The Banchan options were very limited. Only got a small side of Kimchi and a small side of salad. Usually there are 3 - 4 sides served in Korean restaurants.
The service was super quick, the food was served in less than 7 minutes after ordering. The place was cozy, modern, and stylish. The staff were helpful.
Great food. Had the chicken katsu don and the boneless Korean fried chicken.was simply fantastic
OMG, had first time this kind of food. Never left any food on my plate, always do take away if I can’t finish but the food here didn’t want to even take away. I couldn’t finish half of my food as well. And staff they don’t care about customer just rushing to clean the table. Worst Korean food ever …. Don’t want to give even a star but this is for serving food for us. Waste of money.
The worst food ever i had in my whole life. Due to reviews thought had nice food but oh my god cannot imagine about going back again. No friendly staff and the staff were too rude as well.
The best food I've ever tasted. Don't judge the place by size it's a small pocket but serves amazing food with so much flavour! Definitely worth the visit
I probably walked in on a bad day, but my experience was nothing to write home about.
The price has definitely gone up and quality down. I was in for dinner with a friend and we order one spicy and one sweet chicken. Portion sizes were pretty small and they messed up the order gave us sweet and original instead of spicy. Kimchi pancake was undercooked.
I might give them another go in the next couple of weeks coz I see so many good reviews and update if better
One of my favourite Korean joints in the CBD. I love their Spring Onion Fried Chicken and Japchae. The service is quick and fuss-free. The place is cute, and makes a nice quite hangout spot to have a conversation over dinner with friends. They also have a happy hour until 6pm. We keep coming back:)
Awesome food and really quick too. Will be coming back again. Really enjoyed the spicy fried chicken meal. Fresh, crispy and spicy.
Spicy Korea. Awesome food, particularly the spicy crispy chicken "light" meal. It's not light, it's a serious meal, but it's fantastic.
Used to be the best. I really loved this place. But this time.the lunch meal I ordered was ready in seconds. Rice was cold. Tough meat. Uncooked vegetables.it is just way too different compared to before. Very unfortunate. Never going back again!
