Fantastic hospitality with a good variety of dishes! Pat and Jill have been fantastic hosts and made sure our group had the best cooking experience. Highly recommend!

Had SO much fun at the Curries from around the world cooking class. Fantastic teacher/host (Pat) who had great energy, enthusiasm and friendly. Pat gave great tips throughout the class, I learnt so much about preparing food.

Fantastic range of dishes and variety. Well planned and structured and good class size (think max 16). Made 2 entrees, 3 mains, 1 side and a dessert. We were rolling out completely satisfied! Class went for a solid 5 hours so well worth the money! Fantastic vibe and would highly recommend to others.

Extremely well run, hands on cooking classes. Jill organises the ingredients and preps whilst Patrick takes you through the meal creations in an entertaining way, showing you many "how to" techniques that you can take home and practice. The meals are planned perfectly to allow you to enjoy the starters then the mains with accompanying wine or beer. Would recommend to anyone.

An awesome experience for anyone, Experienced or novice cooks would suit this place for a class. The staff have a wealth of knowledge and I thoroughly enjoyed our class 4 hours of cooking, and more importantly eating and drinking our food. Well worth the money and i would suggest that you choose a cuisine that is new and out of your comfort zone.

I did the Persian class and will be back soon for a curry class.

So I went back for more of this cooking school yesterday and it was even better than before.
The guys at Spice Bazaar just know how to celebrate food and all our world cuisines while keeping it real.fun and adventurous. No pretenciousness like can often be the case.

We explored the world of cheese (as part of MFWF) and incorporated this exquisite ingredient into several imaginative dishes, all matched brilliantly with Politini Wines from King Valley.
The menu designed by the effervescent Pat and Jill at Spice Bazaar was exceptional.
I look forward to heading to more classes with Spice Bazaar! Around the world with these guys is fun.

It was with a sense of trepidation that i attended the pasta and gnocchi class at Spice Bazzar. I am not the world's best cook, so I was not sure about attending a cooking class. I can say right now that it's was the best thing I did! Each participant has their own work space and all equipment, ingredients as well aprons are provided. Clear written recipes are provided to follow and to take away. Practical demonstrations of techniques are excellent and individual attention is given to each participant. All of us had ample time to ask questions, and there was a sense of ease about the whole day. Best of all, at the end of the day, I felt that I could make the dishes fairly confidently at home, plus we got to eat what we had made and enjoy the company of some lovely people. I would highly recommend it.

The only downside was how difficult it was to pace myself when such appetising dishes hit the table (across four restaurants)! My Christmas gift to my wife this past year was Spice Bazaar's Middle Eastern food tour. And was it ever a win - exploring and experiencing the food culture of Brunswick, tasting Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine, enjoying conversation with the other attendees. Topping it off was Patrick's and Jill's enthusiasm for and extensive knowledge of ingredients and cooking techniques, which greatly appealed to foodies like my wife and myself. How will I one-up myself next Christmas? Maybe with a cooking class at Spice Bazaar!

I first heard of Spice Bazzar during the Seddon festival a year ago. When my in laws gave us a gift card for them I was SO EXCITED. I booked a walking food tour for my fiances birthday a few months in advance.

Unfortunately 10 days before the tour we found out that the birthday boy wouldnt be able to eat any of the food from the tour due to medical reasons. I called and emailed Spice Bazzar to let them know and ask to rebook the tour or keep a store credit. The answer was a flat NO and there was no interest in knowing the reason for the cancellation or any interest in being accommodating.

I lost all of our money and also lost the interest in visiting this place. Poor service:/

Had great fun at a Moroccan cooking class. The food and atmosphere were fantastic! Patrick made sure the whole process was relaxed and enjoyable, and we can't wait to make some of the dishes we learned for friends and family. We would definitely return for another one of their classes.

Wow what a fantastic way to spend a Saturday. Me and my sister in law were given the Sri Lankan cooking course for a xmas present and we had the best 5 hours. The hosts Patrick and Jill were so welcoming. Their knowledge of food and passion for it made the whole experience so much fun and interesting. Picked up lots of good tips too.

The dishes were matched beautifully together, not too many ingredients just enough that you felt you were learning new techniques. Finished off sat with the class sipping on a yummy well earned wine whilst we all picked their brains on their foodie life. Thank you so much for a brilliant day, we will be back with our families again soon.

My sister-in-law and I did the Sri Lankan cooking course and it far exceeded our expectations. Patrick was an awesome host and teacher, so bubbly, friendly, good laugh and passionate about his food (but in now patronising). The food was delicious, we had so much fun making it and learnt some great tricks. Loved the idea of sitting around as a group enjoying a glass of wine and the fruits of our labour (the delicious Sri Lankan Food. Such a great experience, I couldn't recommend it enough either for a present for someone or treating yo self. Thanks Patrick and Jill!

I have just come home from spending the most wonderful day at Spice Bazaar (how better could we spend the last Sunday of the holidays before going back to work!)

It was a fabulously organised day where we cooked Moroccan food.and then ate it, along with some delicious wines. Patrick, who instructed us, was clear, precise and informative. He taught us cutting skills, introducing 'cheats' when dealing with garlic and ginger (ones I will be using from now on) and was extremely knowledgeable about the origins of the food we cooked and the spices we used. The 4.5 hours went so quickly, and I left the course feeling extremely full of the most delicious food. I will definitely be coming back for another course (perhaps an Asian one next time?). Being put into 'teams' of 5 meant you got to know some of the other folk attending the course, and the communal dining table with the 15 people on the course made for friendly and jovial conversation (when we weren't stuffing out mouths with the delicious food!)

My friend and I both commented that we would have been prepared to pay the course fee simply to have eaten the food. But instead, we have come home with recipes and the skills to be able to impress our friends when we cook our Moroccan feast. I cannot recommend Spice Bazaar highly enough.

Thank you Patrick and Jill for a wonderful day.
