Yesterday mum and I went to one of their cooking classes/lessons and it was definitely enjoyable.
Pat and Jill made you feel like it was your household so if you are thinking about going here I highly suggest and recommend you go to this wonderful place.

Jill and Patrick are absolute experts! My husband and I attended the Thai cooking class and even with a few food allergies and restrictions between us, they still managed to make the experience easy and fun! The ingredients were top quality and Patrick was a wonderful teacher, even teaching us new techniques in food preparation. I cannot recommend Spice Bazaar enough. We are booking in our next class for my husbands birthday!

I just finished the walking tour of Footscray! It was so much fun! Patrick is so knowledgable about the area, different cooking techniques and the people of Footscray. We got an amazing mix of food at the places we stopped at, but it was all the history he went through on our way to each place that was so amazing. I also loved how Patrick took us on tours of the local supermarket and gave us all sorts of tips, tricks and recipe ideas! I am a local in this area and he taught me so much! Really amazing tour! Highly recommend!

Such a great night learning to cook Spanish tapas and pintox, completely hands-on, we made everything ourselves and got to eat in great company with a couple of glasses of wine. Thanks Pat and Jill would highly recommend!

Amazing experiences. I've been on the Middle Eastern walking tour with Pat and Jill and had a fantastic afternoon of tasting, talking and learning. I've revisited several of the places they introduced me to that afternoon. And most recently we thoroughly enjoyed a Moroccan and Middle Eastern cooking class with them at their place in Seddon. What a memorable evening of slicing, sizzling, tasting and talking. Pat and Jill are such welcoming, amiable and knowledgeable hosts, think of it as an evening with good friends, with good conversation and great food.

The Middle Eastern Food Tour of Brunswick was such a fun and delicious day! Pat and Jill make a great team, and are warm, knowledgable and overall terrific hosts. They have many great stories to share about their food adventures, and they love hearing their guests food experiences as well. Couldn't recommend more.

Attended as part of the Melbourne food and wine festival. It was a fantastic Turkish cooking experience led by Pat. Hope to return again soon to try cooking other wonderful cuisines by Spice Bazaar.

Booked for a corporate team building session. Pat and Jill were friendly, very accommodating to dietary requirements and menu requests. The was delicious food too, with a good mix or plating up and actual cooking. Highly recommend for anyone in the Melbourne area.

I've attended two classes here now and both have been fantastic. I really like the approach to breaking up the cooking with sampling what you've prepared with the group over a glass of wine! Thanks Pat and Jill for a great experience!

We had the best time with Pat learning about Moroccan cuisine. The session was so amazing and we have since used the recipes (to show off to our friends). Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing cooking experience, it was intimate, friendly, we made and ate 4 pastas which thanks to the chefs helped us appreciate how much work goes into making fresh beautiful food.

Best cooking course I’ve ever done: energetic, hands-on, informative and fun. Went for four-and-a-half generous hours! Absolute value for money! Do it.

My wife and I have been to Food Essence in Werribee many times, but there you watch some one cook and get tips and ideas. Spice Bazaar is 100% hands on and you do ALL the cooking and preparing with the wonderful Pat, your main guide, and Jill on hand to lead you through all the steps.

I loved that Pat gave you skill demonstrations to help you achieve the same standards as himself. It was also great to discover that he and Jill honed their skills by travelling the world to hone their skills and cultural knowledge of the food they helped us prepare. They showed a true love of food and Pat told some amazing stories that made the night not just about the food we cooked but a cultural experience as well.

The other great thing about the night was that I was expecting it to just be my wife and I preparing our own meal but instead everyone works in teams of 4. Shared responsibilities, shared experiences, shared dining. It was like being a contestant on Masterchef and everyone at our night were so friendly and cooperative but with a little bit of competitiveness it was amazing how quickly a bit of friendly banter developed. It brought everyone together and as we sat around the dining table we were so comfortable sharing our life stories. It made for a far greater night out than just doing your own thing.

We chose the Moroccan and Middle Eastern option and it was sensational. So much flavour from such a diverse range of spices, which they make themselves, and other ingredients we’d never used before. We made dips as a whole group, then prepped and cooked prawns, chicken pastries, chicken tagine, cous cous, a salad and poached pears and yoghurt. The work benches are professionally set up with all the recipes cooking equipment and ingredients needed within reach for each team. Pat would demonstrate techniques, give a rundown of the recipe steps and then leave you and your team to divide the tasks up to get the job done. Again it was like being in a Masterchef team challenge episode.

I couldn’t fault the experience. On top of what I’ve described, drinks were liberally offered all night, - wines to match the food (or beer) and water or juice was always within reach while cooking. And food safety was always an imperative with plenty of utensils and boards to swap out to avoid contamination.

It’s not just a great night out for local Melbournians (our group came from all parts) but something I would recommend for tourists looking for a foodie experience in a food Mecca like Melbourne. Just about every cuisine you can think of is on their list. They also offer a range of 3-4 hour foodie walking tours around different parts of Melbourne. It’s just a 15 minute train ride from Flinders St station to Middle Footscray station which is just a few minutes walk to Spice Bazaar. One of the great nights out. We will be back.

Chef Pat’s my hero. Awesome good time with my wife. Conveniently located just 250 meters from the Middle Footscray train stop.
