All of the gentleman at Specsavers on Glenferrie Road are so helpful and lovely. My glasses were ready in a few days and I am very happy with them. I highly recommend this optometrist, they were pleasant to deal with and the staff were all smiling.
The range is honestly atrocious. I couldn't find a single pair that fit my face! All the frames for women were incredibly narrow and made me look like Harry Potter. Without the special 2 for 1 offer (which I couldn't use because not a single pie of glasses in the shop fit) trying to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses was hideously expensive, with extra charge upon extra charge! It would have been cheaper to buy a 2nd pair of glasses to throw away! Truly a ludicrous experience. Never ever ever using this company again.
Really friendly and professional team. The eye test was bulk billed and performed by a friendly and professional optician. The friendly manager helped me choose frames and was flexible about letting me mix and match different offers. End result was two pairs for $149. They were ready to collect in 5 days. No hassles. If I need more glasses Ill go back here for sure.
We've been happy with the service and glasses, my husband needed to get a couple of adjustments, that was sorted out with no fuss. My husband paid just over $1000 for his glasses through an optometrist in 2014, similar frames and prescription just under $300 with Specsavers. (2015) We couldn't get anywhere near that rate with our old optometrist. I know some suspect poor quality glasses because they're so much cheaper, but we haven't found that to be the case.
