Spanish Bar reviews
55Slow service, food isnt really spanish or isnt well done, but good place for a drink and a little bite.
Food is amazing.
Service was excellent.
Sangria was beautiful to drink
Will be there again
Fantastic service and scrumptious Spanish tapas/ cuisine! You definitely need to try the ham and cheese croquettes! And pretty much everything on the menu!
The two staff that were on today (Friday 4th Feb 2022) are an absolute delight! What a great atmosphere they create together. The service, the food, the wine, the comfy sofa, its all so wonderful. Lovely spot! Well done
Unfortunately for them today big fail
I know it’s Father’s Day however the only cooked item they were offering was the bacon and egg rolls - other items were pastries muffins etc my issue was they had 2 chefs obviously the head chef was at the back doing all the Father’s Day menu cooking and the apprentice chef was on the hot plate do it the bacon/eggs rolls
Now I’m really really tolerable but I’m pretty sure I waited over 30 mins for my order if 2
There wasn’t a huge line of people, must of them just getting coffees but you’d think the chefs would have just had the hot plate loaded for the rush of people wanting these rolls -
I’ve spent all my life in Hospitality so considering there was no doing the take away should be on point
- HATE TO SAY IT BUT THATS WHY MACCAS IS SO POPULAR- speddy basics
Coffee ok waited over half an hour for food. Paid 20 dollars for half stuffed tomato with quinoa and two small pieces of olive bread with a small sliver of smoked salmon
Nice chai latte and friendly staff. They brought water to our table, which I always appreciate! Nice spot to sit outside near the creek.
Food was delicious, the waitress a hoot, replying in Spanish to watch of our orders, the Esmelle? Beer a lager of Hoppy goodness. Only thing I'd say is the prices were a bit on the high side, but maybe that's a geographic reason. 4/5 Stars!
Love this place. Because of Covid 19 restricted times but All good will go again when restrictions a little more user friendly and there is flamenco guitarist
The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is good and so is the price. The table we had overlooked Kananook Creek.
Salt and pepper calamari is excellent. Paella is risotto with ample mussels and prawns placed on top. There's tender calamari in the rice with some chicken but not overly flavoursome. The meatballs, or rather meatball looked and tasted like it'd spent a few days in the fridge before heating up for today. The sauce around it was easily the highlight of this dish. Coffee was average. The menu is quite a strange read when you want to choose something from the 'tapas' section.
Friends took us here for breakfast and it was delicious! Coffee was great. We ordered the paella, stuffed bread and the mushroom crapès. I definitely had food envy with the stuffed bread my friend ordered. A little bit spicy, so much flavour! It was all tasty. Thank you for having us
We had a lovely Mother's day early dinner today, the staff was amazing. Good service, good food. Definitely give them a go.
Mexico has their Cinco de Mayo, while Spain has their Dos de Mayo, any which way, this week deserves to be celebrated!
Plus I found this place by accident, when I couldn't find a parking spot near my original cafe joint I wanted to visit, and instead, went with the flow of traffic, and got a spot right next to this lovely colourful place instead! Score!
Their colours from the outside are bright and happy, you can't miss it. Walked in and their tapas menu was intriguing enough for a try. It was just around lunch time and the place was not too packed out, lucky, got a nice table right by the window.
Ordered a flat white and the tapas chorizo burger for one. The coffee was really, really nice. Smooth, and the right temperature. Hit the spot perfectly. The tapas size burger came and it looked delicious, immediately wishing I should've ordered two!
The "patatas bravas", means I think spicy potatoes. The sauce wasn't spicy for me though, others may differ. But these "patatas" was actually chunks of thicker cut potato chips, fried to a beautiful crunch. Soft inside and crunchy outside, I absolutely loved them! Give me more!
The burger was delicious also, lots of love and thoughts put into the patty from their chef I think, with just the right amount of ingredients layered together. Don't expect a large size burger especially if you come hungry. This is tapas afterall. But surprisingly, after lapping up everything on my plate, it was just right. Happy belly.
Rock on Spanish Bar! Great stuff, with good food and friendly staff, it's a winning combo! I'll be back to try your other dishes next time.
Pizza and trio mushroom crepes were really good. Got so many other dishes to try that looked good when they went past. Nice cosy, great atmosphere. Really friendly service as well.
Look, I won't be that person. You know, the one that rushes to every new place. On the opening night! However, with all thats been going down, I felt like a change, to see if places that had good reviews before the dreaded C word, are still holding up? The Spanish Bar most definitely is! Mojitos & soft Shell crab Sliders with a side of patatas bravas, topped off with Churros that nobody needs - but every.body.wants! Yum.
No Bull (see what I did there? !)
The most amazing paella ever had, chef David has the real touch of spain on his fingers tips. The staff is super kind, fun and always ready to help you. The place is cossy and nice. Music just perfect. Absolutely recommended!
Food was decent, but portions were small. Wait staff were friendly but a little confused about the menu. Was in a party of 6, there was a gap of over 10 minutes from the first main course brought out until the last person served.
Excellent food and the friendliest service, one of the best meals in a long time with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for a great evening.
Absolutely amazing! Delicious food, great service, fantastic music. All the elements you are looking for an unforgettable experience:) The paella is just out of this world! Thanks chef David!
