Southland Shopping Centre

U r a disgrace i went to the movies did some shopping spent my money got lost completely couldn't find my car and then tried to get out of the car park and you charge me $6 for parking get stuffed southland ps you will loose customers!

This centre is need of an update and some better food choices besides chains.
The parents rooms are frequently unclean, which is strange given they have such a strong chemical (cleaning?) odour. There is often no soap in the parents rooms.

For all Southland shopping center only 2 wheelchairs and one of of that is broken. It is very busy time now and seems you don't really care about disable people

It is definitely one of the best places to go in melbourne were you can find anything. From very fancy clothing brands, to book stores, cars, electronics, groceries and supermarkets and some other services. It would be nice if the stores wouldn't close all at five. During weekdays would be nice to have a place to have some time to spend with family and have dinner while shopping. If it would be open at least until 8 would be nicer. The places to eat are very good and have a very good variety for all tastes.

Much better shopping than Chadstone, who seem to only cater to the rich Chinese taking over our country. Normal shops, all the major department store, Good old fashion $2 shops and 2 foodcourts where you dont have to fight for a table.

Lost 2 stars, Paying for parking is a joke, and how dare they charge staff

Tired looking shopping centre in need of upgrade. Signage is poor, no information desk that I could see or maps which all make it extremely difficult to find what you're looking for.
Food court is very basic and uninspiring. Overall not a patch on the modern Chadstone SC.

Been going here since I was kid! Southland has all the shops you need and is easy to navigate around. There are multiple entrances which is ideal for those who don't want to walk too much. Free 3 hours of parking.

Better than that oversized chadstone. You can easily find what you need grab a massage, eat something and visit cinema. And you can do all of these without getti g tired

More of a bus station than a shopping centre these days.

- Toilets are always befouled.

- Overcrowded with too many stalls and decor clogging up walkways.

- Irrational layout that requires excessive walking through dead space.

This is one of the largest shopping centers in Australia.
Located off Nepean Highway it has thousands of car parks including under cover, disabled, maternity and Seniors spots near the entrances.
All Major banks, health care branches, department stores, cinemas, food chains are located there on the multi level facility.
It now spans the Nepean Highway so do so research of the store you want to visit before attending or it could be a long walk

I went to movies today. And paid for parking. I think a new telly at home is a better option-
Not purchased from a Westfield.westfield will get a lot less of my business. There are other option for shopping. Greedy Greedy Greedy.

An unimaginative concrete and glass jungle but with a good range of shopping. Needs more seats for the elderly and for men who are waiting for the women.

Used to be our local shopping mall until we moved a bit further out. Southland has a great friendly atmosphere. Safe and easy to get around. Plenty of variety of shops and services.

We still go back there to avoid our new local mall which is only 10mins down the road.

Great range of shops and facilities compared to most other shops in the area.

Great half way meet up spot for lunch with the family. Although.looks like they're going to start charging for parking so that may change things.

Very confused about free parking after 6pm. I went there 2 weeks ago at about 4.30pm. Though there is 3 hours free parking. Then after 6pm will be free. But it's not! When i finish shopping came out at 8pm. Gate showing i need pay 6 dollars! To be honest! Compare with Chadstone. Southland only small shopping center. But just because new train station then start to charge parking fee! That is very disappointing!

One of the best shopping centre around Melbourne. It's got its own train station which is literally next to the shopping centre's doors.
Nice layout, first times could become a maze of you're not used to it but luckily you can find info screens on every corner that helps you move around.
Here you can find pretty much everything you need to spend a day in relax with family or friends, from shopping to Restaurants till Cinema.
The car park is huge and on multi-levels and is splitted between one side and the other of Nepean Highway.
Even on the most crowded day you can always find a car spot which is always pretty close to one of the entrance.
The good layout of the car park allows you to park the car close to the essentials supermarkets to make a quick shop and go any time of the day.

Larger than average shopping mall with a excellent car parking together with the usual retail mix.
For this Reviewer however, it lacks a "wow" factor or sufficient point of difference to its other competitors.

Good shops at Southland Shopping Centre but also have too expensive shops way over budget in pricing Moore best to go to shops that you can afford and you can buy these Aqua the same items that you see at other shops were cheaper same value for pricing

PARKING IS CONFUSING.

Hi Megan, thanks for replying. Its basically confusing at night when I came for movies for a number of times. I had to struggle a bit to find the parking. It should be more detailed I believe.

I have to say that there is a lot missing, and no, I'm not talking about stores. I am talking about the most crucial part to any shopping centre, the toilets. The toilets here had too much un-flushed urine, in which I had to get rid of (in my own way). Also, the staff here wouldn't give me straws to dispose of this filfth.
