I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Southern Grace - we are there almost every weekend. The food is dynamite - always incredible quality produce, with creative preparation. The brisket is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The Kansas City style ribs are as good as any of the best you’d find in Kansas. The menu changes every week and there are always too many good options and not enough stomach space. Desserts are always delicious and worth saving room for. Absolutely recommend.

Had an amazing lunch the other weekend, delicious brisket. Loved all of the sides, the burger patty was our fav! Delicious bread and butter pudding to finish with. Will definitely be back again!

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food is superb. The meat is melt in your mouth tender, a wide variety of sides to cut through all the meat and finish it off with a delicious slice of pie.

Went to Southern Grace Diner for Lunch today and by far the best BBQ I have ever had. The meat and three is amazing. We did to orders each with different items so that my wife and I could share and it was all amazing. The service was fantastic and Lance really knows what he is doing. My head and my stomach was at odds as because the food is so great I wanted to just keep eating but my stomach was so full. But to Solve that I am able to take home what I couldn't finish. This place is amazing and so worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants real American BBQ.

I’ve been to a lot of low and slow BBQ restaurants in Victoria - and this up there with the very best. Brisket is exactly what you want - amazing bark, tender, juicy umami goodness. Just perfectly cooked by Lance and the crew. Even got to try a brisket Philly cheesesteak. Amazing.
Coleslaw needs a special mention as well. Has some Sauerkraut undertones in a good way. Super complimentary to the meats.
Oh and the sauces. They should bottle them! Ha!

If I was on death row and I got to choose a last meal… this would be top of the list! Oh and a pizza lol.

I’ve eaten plenty of American BBQ and for sure this is some of the best on offer, Brisket is always on point and sides are great especially the Slaw its the best!

Holy cow, this feed was sensational! Have wanted to visit for a long time and the wait was worth it. Ordered a big spread including brisket, pulled/chopped pork, Turkey breast and fried chicken. All the meats were amazing, as we're the sides. Don't go past the mac and cheese or pimento cheese dip! Wow. Will be back in the future for sure. Lance and all the crew were super friendly and helpful.

Had meat and threes including brisket, sausage, porkstrami and all the sides! Was incredible, with clear love and attention put into the meats and the sides. Great to see places like this in Melbourne!

Poor experience, I pay 40 dollars and was the smallest pice of beef that I ever had, I have to be honest really tasty but I will never back there if it were free,

I’m really pleased about the new look. My kids didn’t like the sweet spicy meat from @bigboybbq but we can all enjoy the new Texas style meats at @southergracediner. The brisket was spot-on. The rest of the meat was good and the fixins were guzzled. Welcome back guys!

Update: The team has honed their skills over the last couple of years and the food, especially the brisket, is just amazing. I’ve eaten brisket in 100 different places and this brisket is up there with the best of Austin Texas. I’m now a regular.

Normally when you go to a restaurant - something let's the meal down. NOT HERE! OMG - it was authentic, real BBQ done to perfection. Don't eat breakfast - just go and try everything. Value for money 100%. The restaurant itself is cool and well designed. The food, oh my goodness. I will dream about it. Do yourself a favour and save room for dessert. The pies were sublime. Everything was dare I say it, perfect. I will definitely be back.

Best BBQ restaurant in Melbourne hands down. Everything we ate was perfect from the meat (brisket, ribs and turkey), to the sides (beef chilli, cornbread and loaded fries) and the delicious peanut butter pie. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.
The sauces are also really good and I would definitely recommend taking a few home.

Best BBQ in Melbourne. Very friendly service. Very good portion sizes. Good value for money. A must stop on the Melbourne food scene.

Went in on Sunday for the first time since they were in the city, was thrilled to find that Big Boy BBQ could get even better. Everything we ordered was incredible and though we had no plans to order dessert, one sample of the peanut butter cream pie and it was an immediate add to our order which we took to the nearest park for an amazing feast. Thanks guys, will be back soon.

I lived in Florida for over a year, which has BBQ restaurants everywhere. Since I am from the U. S. I use to eat BBQ pretty much everyday for lunch when I was working. This place has no clue when it comes to BBQ. They cook the meat and either freeze it or put in the fridge. Then serve it by heating it up and dumping sauce on it to hide that the meat is not fresh. They do have a good sauce I admit, but I am use to having fresh cook meat. Guess since the turnover is low at this place they can not recreate the same style of BBQ you would get in the U. S.

Lance and the team are doing great things at Southern Grace, I can’t wait to get back down there for some of the greatest brisket I have had.make sure you try the Iced Coffee!

Absolutely delicious! A must for BBQ lovers and southern style food altogether. I've been going here for years for reasonably priced food that melts in your mouth. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their southern style fix.
