58 Softshell crab burger - 5/5
Lobster congee - 2/5
Staff were warm and friendly, ambience was nice and clean!
Great spot for breakfast and brunch! Lovely service, very clean cafe with nice ambience.would come here again
The location is pretty good and that’s where the good things stop. Had a Chilli scrambled egg, asked them for mushrooms in it since I removed the shallots and chorizo, but they wanted to charge $4 extra for the mushroom. Which means it’s $21 for just eggs on a crossiant. The banana and Avo smoothie I had tasted like it had some sort of cleaning chemicals mixed in it also had a salad bowl and I could taste rotten cauliflower and old leaves.
Really good food and nice presentation. Must try.
The only thing is that some of the tables are a bit wobbly otherwise no issues at all. I highly recommend the congee.
Food is average, coffee is alright. Overall, I will give it a four stars. I had the soul soul Benny, the pork belly taste ok and I like the marinated apple on top. However, I am not huge fan of the mashroom and the sauce. I also ordered the white chocolate mocha, they are pretty delicious but also very sweet.
Regarding to the service, staffs are quite friendly and efficient.
Overall the menu is pretty average. Nothing too special. I am looking forward they will have something more special in the future.
Great coffee, super delicious eggs Benedict and salmon. Service was quick and ordering is via QR code. Left full and a delighted with our brunch!
Amazing customer service. They are serious about the quality of the food/coffee they are providing, love it so much:)
Great location, friendly staff and delicious food, enjoyed every single bite of the meal in soul soul. I order crab sliders with lovely mocktail, and my friends ordered Benny, considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Definitely come back next time.
My first sit down meal after lockdown! They are diligent with their COVID checks and the food is very yummy and comforting.
Definitely better than my cooking! Also, they allow walk-ins which is great, I will be back soon!
Great menu, something different to your usual stuff, but still familiar ️
Very tasty! Absolutely loving it and definitely will be back!
A little pricey for the food. Overall is okay. Fried mushroom a little too oily, soul soul Benny presentation is great, pork are not that great, and crispy chicken sandwich are average. Ocean mocktail is great in taste and presentation!
Better than I expected! Can tell that they put care into their food and restaurant experience. Air conditioning is a bit colder than necessary but I digress.
Lobster congee: 2/5
Legitly puts lobster and prawn into the congee, it should've gone well but it didn't. Missing bit for this dish would be to add some lobster stock into the congee's cooking process to give it body. Because it's just a plop of lobster meat that's been boiled separate to the dish, it falls flat. (or in Humble Ray's version, they put sesame oil + stuff to add body to the congee)
Has a lot of potential!
Softshell crab burger: 4/5
It's good, it's filling, it's worth the price you pay. The crab is fried right and not too oily. Bun and spicy mayo around the plate was good. Plated well too. I don't know what's missing to hit that 5/5 but it's not gonna disappoint
A nice and very spacious cafe to enjoy a brunch date. I absolutely loved the Lobster Congee. Definitely worth it’s price as it came with a lot of meat and the flavor was amazing!
The Soul Soul Benny was pretty average. The croissant was really good but I felt that the texture of the pork didn’t really go well with other components on the dish.
The french toast was good and weren’t too sweet. Would highly recommend ordering their ‘Signature Ocean Mocktail’. It’s so gooood!
I would definitely go back for the congee again!
Located in a hidden (though well known) modern café near RMIT building 100. I loved the matcha latte and the iced latte (aromatic and slightly bitter). The cups and saucers are carefully selected, you can see all the details and effort are poured in to this place. Also great service. I would love to try their food in the future.
The environment here is wonderful and the service here is amazing if you are living nearby, it’s a great place for you to start your day
How about a drool worthy, yummilicious and an insta worthy brunch spread? When it's insta worthy then it's not yum, and when it's yum, it's not insta worthy!
@soulsoulcafe is here to rescue you from this dilemma as they have nailed taste and presentation with utmost perfection with their fusion Asian brunch menu. Each and every dish from the menu is an original and an unique creation of theirs own.
What we had:
Soft Shell Crab Slider, inside a charcoal bao lies a crunchy, crispy, soft shell fried crab in garlic salt, pickled purple slaw, spicy mayo, cucumber, coriander, chilli. This one is definitely a must try.
Soul Soul Benny, slow cooked pork belly with hollandaise, eggs, mushroom, chilli on a crossiant. Such a magnificent creation with full of flavors.
Pink Soul Dragon Fruit Bowl, never before seen such a pretty smoothie bowl, with dragon fruit, berries, chia seeds, yoghurt mixed with muesli, shaved coconut, seasame tuile. Absolutely refreshing and delectable bowl of fresh fruits and berries.
Signature ocean mocktail, made with strawberry jelly, lemonade and blue soda, tasted immensely delicious and fresh.
Signature cucumber mocktail, a hughly refreshing drink made of lime soda, cucumber punch, sparkling water, syrup
Their service is smooth and the decor is aesthetic with cozy vibes that will definitely wanna make you feel visit again and again. So guys definitely check out this new brunch joint @soulsoulcafe
Located within the secret urban jungle of the 28 Bouverie St area is Soul Soul, up a flight of stairs from Victoria street (the easier to find entry). A hidden gem that just opened two months ago. #invite
Offering more than coffee they serve up a large variety of boba, fruity fun and cheese foam. Though it was the beautiful mocktails, sparkling in the sunlight, that caught our eye.
Signature Ocean Mocktail - Strawberry jelly, lemonade and blue soda. Floating jello, such fun! I've never had anything like it before.
Signature Cucumber Mocktail - Lime soda, cucumber punch with sparkling water and syrup. Light and refreshing this tastes like summer days, dare I say watching polo?
Soft Shell Crab Chilli Sider - fried in garlic salt, pickled purple slaw with spicy mayo, cucumber and coriander in a charcoal bun. How stunning is this dish? And it tastes just as good too! That perfect combo of crunchy crab, fresh slaw and a soft warm bun. Highly recommended, if you order just one dish make it this one.
Soul Soul's Benny - This one is another visual feast even if it does look humble on the menu, because what it doesn't say is that it's served on a croissant! Slow cooked pork belly, asparagus, poached eggs, mushroom and chili dressed with hollandaise. Delicious!
Pink Soul Dragon Fruit Bowl - Dragon fruit, berries, chia seed and yoghurt blended served with muesli, topped with fruits, pistachio, sesame tuile and shaved coconut. A smoothie bowl, for those more health conscious or sadly already used up their sometimes food limit won't miss out on their brunch pics with this dish. And this one's perfect as an introduction to dragonfruit too, as the flavour is lighter than it looks. A very filling if not most filling dish.
We were very lucky to have a sunny day and brunched outside with views of an urban garden and high raisers, Soul Soul is a hidden gem indeed (within the same area as Mille & B if that helps you find it).
Lovely cafe staff were very friendly and attentive. The food here is amazing! Very creative & wonderful flavours. Nice coffees too. Will definitely be coming back?
Soft Shell Crab chill slide is very generous in service size and great taste with the chili mayo
Me and my friends dined here and loved the whole experience:) the interior was so well designed and perfect for instagram stories! As for the food, the dishes was so beautiful and really tasty. I personally ordered the soul soul benny and the eggs were perfectly cooked and flavours matched very well. Drinks were also refreshing and pleasant to the eye. A great spot for brunch with your friends:)
