Sooki Lounge reviews
78Sooki's is my fav local digs. Always have great beers on tap, food is spectacular and the delicious specials are always different every time I'm there. Staff are friendly and happy. Cant speak highly enough of this place!
Cool place, the music's not the best for dancing though, and prepare for a long line to get in, the guards usually let a lot of people that they know in, so if you don't know anyone then ur waiting in a long line.
Other than that, drinks are good, they even have live bands and all. Info is on their website
Classic venue for gigs. Especially loved the outside area where you feel like the trees are giving you a comfortable hug
Great food.great cocktails and fantatstic entertainment.relaxed environment.awesome staff.you can never go wrong in choosing sooki lounge for a great night out.
Went to hear a band. Turned out to be an awesome venue. Great old building, wonderfully friendly hard working staff, great food. Ordered tea late in the evening when it was running more as a bar, and got not only good tea, but served in a pot with a proper cup!
Visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and drinks. The place was getting ready for live entertainment with a band playing some very nice music. We sat in the outdoor area which was covered with trees and having an open mic session.
The drinks menu was quite extensive with some beers on tap. Food menu had great options for lunch and even for breakfast. Overall a very enjoyable experience for great experience.
From the outside it looked like a weird restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised when some tables were moved out and left a decent sized band room. Large smokers area down the side with seating and cover for the nicotine addicts. There's also another room downstairs that I didn't check out. Had a bite to eat before the bands and a few coffees throughout. Can definitely recommend. All in all, great venue. Worth the PTV hustle to get there.
Almost always something happening and even on its quiet moments a very nice place to go. P.s. Keep your chefs, They are exelent.
$17 for nachos and I counted 6 tiny pieces of tomato they called vegetables not salsa. I asked for more salsa (had to call it vegetables or she didn't have any, and was charged $10 for the extra vegetables (salsa). The toilet stunk and so did the attitude.
Good menu with the food cooked so well. Fantastic atmosphere because of the staff, layout and decor.
Decent place to eat, with a mild strip-club vibe tbh. Didn't seem to have anything left by Sunday afternoon (no cider on tap, no soft-drink, some menu items unavailable). What did come out was nice enough though.
Delightful atmosphere. Warm & cozy on a cold day. The Moroccan chickpea soup was very tasty. Good service too. A wonderful venue at the end of Belgrave train line.
Nice atmosphere on a weekend day. Young and old customers. Great variety on the menu - nachos was big enough to share.
So rude when we were asking for a simple request and it was just so inappropriate and I’m very unhappy!
Bye bye sookie
Love the atmosphere. Well decorated. Helpful staff. Delicious nachos and bad boy chips. Mulled wine.hmmm.coffees good.
The venue has come on leaps and bounds compared to the previous management. Comfy and inviting with a wide age demographic equally enjoying the live music when I was there recently. The security set up is very professional also.
Lovely local bar and cafe. Hard to find places like this around these areas but Sooki lounge does it well with great live music and line ups.
We went to Sooki for a coffee and snack yesterday. Ordered 2 coffees and the cheese plate ($12 on the menu). When we went to pay the bill was $36.10. We were then told the plate was $12 but each piece of cheese was $7- still does not come to $27.50 though.
Very upset about the lack of communication over prices.
Apart from the price shock the coffee and cheese was great.
