Song Huong reviews
42Ordered beef pho soup for $12 and was offered an upgrade of more beef for $15 which I didn't ask for but agreed anyway. When it arrived it didn't seem like more beef than usual here then I was charged an extra $1 at the till just because I paid with my card not cash. The prawn spring rolls were dry and quite awful in my opinion. I felt I was taken advantage of and won't be going back again
Chinese food, I recommend eating the dish I ordered. It was good, you will be full. I was so hungry that I ordered an extra rice bowl, it costs 2,5 Aud.
Nice! Very good price and good portion for $7, love the little girl who serve! The whole family are great!
This place is awesome, been coming here for a long time and they never disappoint, great variety of food but their $7 menu is great, cheap, good portion and quality. Highly recommend this place
Very good prices. Extensive menu to choose from. I would recommend spicy beef noodle (special version)
Quick, friendly service and great value for money.
I always get the Hainanese chicken. Always.
And I've been going there for years.
Lots of places to eat in Springvale but this one has becomes a regular.
Good food, clean (even the toilets), friendly staff all with a more than fair price. Worth the visit.
One of the best cheap eats in the south east. You can never go wrong here with any of the $7 meals:)
I love hainanese chicken rice. This is near our place and has been my go to for hainan chicken. Their chicken is consistently tasty, juicy, not dry and their serving is generous for just $7. The fresh, crisp lettuce that comes with it is also complements the chicken well. I also like that they use a different dipping sauce for their chicken. It's not the usual soy, chili or ginger dip but I like it just as much. I haven't dined in yet but their takeaway service is always very fast and efficient.
Great food, great prices. Service is good and venue is clean. Recommended the beef brisket or Hainan chicken rice $7 special
The "7 dollar place" is what I call it - cheap, simple and delicious food! Go to is the hainanese chicken rice!
We love this restaurant. Consistent with good meals for great price. Takeaway or dine in they always provide great food and service
Overall Food is okay, the Bún Bò Huế is terrible. The service over the phone is terrible.
If you are looking for the Spicy Noodle Soup, find Bún Ngon restaurant
This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Very fresh ingredients. Tasty dishes. Great prices. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Friendly service. Very tasty food. Extensive menu that has decent mains starting from $7. Generous servings.
One of my favorite places to eat at Springvale. The food is always excellent and the prices are extremely good. Try the goat curry.
Great food at AMAZING prices
This is a cheap and cheerful Vietnamese restaurant in Springvale. I tried the Bun Bo Hue and it's one of the best that I have had.
Casual dining and child friendly with great service.
Highly recommended.
I don’t like the food.the orange colour rice is very stinky for me.even just $6 but I won’t come back again
$6 meals are pretty unheard of nowadays but here at Song Huong, you can find $6 and $7 dishes that fills you up and leave you satisfied. Even if you are a big eater and one dish wasn't enough, ordering two would only set you back $12. Definitely one of the cheapest eats around!
The other items on the menu are also very reasonable priced - the beef brisket noodle soup that I ordered was only $9.50. A few of the beef brisket was a bit tough, and the broth was leaning towards being overly salty. While it didn't impress with its execution, it made up for this with its portion size.
The combination congee (chao hue) was the more flavourful dish. The underlying spicy kick added a depth of layer to the broth, and the scallions and red onions added intensity and bite to the dish.
The other dishes that we have tried here are also of similar calibre - good but not great, and lacking in finesse. Still if you're for a cheap and cheerful meal, this is the place to be. Service is quick and friendly, and you really can't find more better value for money elsewhere.
