42Such good value, prompt and friendly service, wait staff always smiled and was polite:) food was actually not bad, not mind blowingly delicious but considering all else, you feel very satisfied walking away from the place.
Best place for Bun Bo hue in Melbourne. The prices are affordable, service is great and most importantly the food is delicious! Highly recommend
I came here with my family, and we had a lovely waitress serve us. The food was served at super sonic speed and tasted 11/10. I wish more people came to this place because they will all leave with a big smile on their face. Thank you and well done to all staff for your hard work!
Dont be fooled by their $8 dollar deals. I came in at around 415pm today and the service is horrible especially from the short young Chinese looking woman with long ponytail. She had issues serving ice on a water jug but not on a glass, she surprises you with a $1 card surcharge if you pay by card, she doesn't have any patience or customer courtesy whatsover. She probably is or acts like she's the owners daughter who complains about customers who make reasonable requests.
This place has become our go to restaurant to eat in. The value of money for the quality of food is exceptional. The staff are always accommodating and very responsive. There are a lot of options when it comes to your cravings.
They will always be happy to serve you.
A Great restaurant, not only is the Phở really delicious and great value for money, but they also have many inexpensive lunch options
When we come to Springvale market, we often go to this Vietnamese restaurant for their lunch meal. You get to have a nice meal for only $8. My go to dish is either the Salt & Pepper pork or the Crispy fried chicken. It's so good for the price. They serve drinks as well, but I always end up ordering the vietnamese coffee.
Casual dining. Tasty bun bo hue. Affordable. Family run business so a very friendly vibe. They do mud crab and noodles (ginger shallot or XO sauce)
It’s a Vietnamese restaurant only a quick walk from the train station. The way the food smelled remind me of my Mum’s home cooking, and the beef in my dish was really tender which was awesome.
The $8 rice meals are incredible (all of them are nice especially the Hainanese Chicken rice), you definitely won't get anywhere close to this quality at this price elsewhere. The seafood noodles are amazing too, so tasty!
Amazing amazing food! Out of the $8 specials, the salt and pepper chicken and beef brisket definitely stand out.
I also love that the bun bo hue had different sizes. Even the small was a generous size!
The iced coffee is lovely. Food comes quickly and piping hot. Absolutely no complaints.
Delicious Special Bun Bo Hue with great balance of flavours. Very generous portion for a large bowl costing $15. They also offer a variety of lunch time specials for only $8.

Bún bò Huế
2022 was the year of Bún bò Huế for me! I tried all sorts of BBH from Melbourne to Sydney to London to Phu quoc & Ho Chi Minh City and lastly this delicious Bún bò Huế in Springvale. I’ve written before how much I love this community of shops, fresh food markets and amazing people all with great stories, so before the year wrapped and the madness of silly season ensued I ventured out to get one final hit of the lemongrass spiced goodness. We are honestly so lucky to have as many options we do in our beautiful city. This was my first time at Song Huong and the menu was so impressive but the BBH was even more impressive! Spiced cha lua floating in a rich, fragrant and bold stock. This gave Victoria Streets Co Do a run for its money. The chili condiment on the table added just the right amount of heat. The nourishing values of a bowl of this magnificent soup can’t be understated. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions but if I can make 2023 even more soupy with soups as good as Song Huongs then it will be a great time!

Amazing food amazing prices and service:) great work Song huong team:)
Unbelievably good value for money. Bun Bo Hue was a must try! Pork chop on rice was delicious too.
Beware of fake reviews. Ordered the hainanese chicken rice and crispy chicken rice. HCR was so tasteless. Crispy chicken.nothing was crispy at all and the skin was soggy. This is the worst crispy chicken I've ever had in Australia! Service was friendly and fast though. Cheap eat - Yes. Good food? Certainly no for me and my family.
This place is the best place when you want to eat with low budget. With only $8 you can choose variant of food. I've tried fried rice with crispy chicken, curry goat wth rice, salt and pepper fried pork. There are still some choices. And all are only $8. Free hot tea also. Service are excelent, they serve fast and excellent in English, Bahasa and Melayu too. Clean and comfy place. You should try it.
Friendly service. Very tasty food. Extensive menu that has decent mains starting from $8. Generous servings.
Great Vietnamese food - the price and serving size here is awesome! The BBH broth was tasty and they were very generous with their meat portions, with a great selection of various beef cuts.
Tasty food at reasonable prices.
