Sole Motive

Having changed the date of the Canberra marathon twice due to Covid, I asked for a refund which they refused due to the fact they were struggling during Covid
I lodged a dispute with PayPal who refunded the money immediately
They have lost any future event business of mine and i frequently foretell the story to my social network of runners

I drove into the city today with the intent to purchase a flip belt. Admittedly I was after a pink belt, but the customer service I received was lacking significantly. The customer service rep really didn’t want to help me and then unwillingly looked out the back which to then find a pink belt, unfortunately this was not in my size. There was no further help to source one from another store in melbourne or where I could find another. In the end I left without purchasing and thinking.may as well just purchase this online! While instore I would have purchased other products too. Unfortunately not the best way to welcome customers back in the current climate!

I recently purchased new running shoes (and socks) from Sole Motive and found it to be a thorough and professional experience (as well as covidsafe). The staff are not just friendly and experienced in footwear, but are also runners. During the recent restrictions I took part in one of their events, the Run to Rock. My overall experience has been 6 star worthy and I look forward to further purchases and events. Nothing better then supporting the locals!

They helped me with a shoe fitting even if I arrived late to my appointment. Their booking system is easy to use and accessible. Once I arrived, they were professional, caring and showed me a pair of super comfortable brooks. Not a huge selection, and on the pricey side but they are surely specialized. Highly recommended,

Specialized shop for runners. Reasonably priced. Has some clothing and also sponsors running events like run Melbourne and run the rock. Very efficient in dealing with my customer query. Absolute perfection. Thanks Kyle and team.

Purchased some shoes from these guys and they were fantastic with the fitting and the shoes were great. I had a small issue several months later and they replaced the shoes no questions asked and delivered them to my house at their cost as i was unable to make it into the city - the definition of going above and beyond - fantastic service 6 stars

I visited Sole Motive this morning to update my runners as I had worn through my previous pair.

The professionalism of the staff was impressive, I had a short jog on the treadmill where the staff member took a video of my lower legs and feet. They took me through how I was running and gave me their assessment and recommendations based on this. The staff member gave me ample time and attention to try on a few different pairs and ask questions based on this initial running assessment, and they were friendly throughout.

I would definitely return to buy future pairs of runners from this store, I appreciated your kind and attentive service during these undoubtedly challenging times.

I needed a new pair of running shoes and had a good browse online and had a rough idea of what I wanted, then I bumped into Sole Motive’s website where they offered online suggestions for the right pair after giving them some more info about my running routine/issues and what not.

They were very polite and answered my questions in no time so I decided to buy from them the suggested shoes since they seemed to be what I was after and was also offered a discount code. The delivery was free and arrived within 24 hours.

I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. They know their products and secured the sale with the discount. I’m definitely buying from them again. The shoes were great too!

I’m not sure what’s up with all the negatives review recently.but all I can tell you is that, my partner and I went there to get our shoe fitted by appointment. It was a great experience as the staff was helpful and knowledgeable, we really appreciate it. He was answering all the questions I asked, shame I didn’t get a chance to ask for his name. But I would totally recommend this store if you are looking to be fitted into the right shoes for your run:)

I routinely receive great advice and customer service from Sole Motive - whether I'm purchasing shoes in-store or online - and this is why I keep coming back!

Went in one morning to get the new Terra Kiger 6 in June. She was so friendly and professional.

Bad customer service, they promised to restock the shoes I tried on in the store in a week time. No call was given after, no restocking was made, I figured it out once reached them by myself. Also, after waiting for a week in waste the shoes I wanted got sold out in the competitor store. So now I have no running shoes. You need to keep your promises Sole Motive, I will not get back unfortunately

You receive good service in the store but if you have a faulty product no one will return phone calls or emails.

Would highly recommend to never sign up to a run with this company. Will never make this mistake again.

I have been looking a long time for some ASICS shoes and I stumbled across soul motive, I’d never heard of them before anyway I’m super happy and got an absolute bargain! Shipping was super quick too! Will definitely be shopping there again!

I came here to buy some gels for my very first marathon. I felt uncertain while I was here due to the very limited knowledge they had on the products, and when I asked they said very little and basically left me to figure it all out myself. Would not recommend unless the customer knows everything about the product already, and is not looking for friendly customer service

I been to this store several times in past and had nothing but great service from the staff.the staff that was on was helping another customer so i decided to wait for but after waiting 10+ mins the staff started servicing a new customer that just walked in without saying anything. Great work

Lovely shop on Queen Street with an array of runners shoes, gels and apparel. It was towards closing time but the service was good and we had a long chat about some of the better trainers on the market.
Ended up trying some of the more specialist running shoes and appreciated the time they took to explain the mesh types and breathe-ability of the shoe.

Definitely recommend the store for specialist advice.

Awesome service - Duncan H is an absolute legend. Came in with some generalised issues and pretty specific requirements, analysed my run without shoes and then had me try on a few that meet my requirements. After 3 shoes (each with a recorded run on the treadmill) I found some excellent shoes that were comfy and hopefully allow me to get more k's under my feet. Will definitely be going back for any future shoe needs.

My wife and I moved to Australia and both of us needed new running shoes. I had a knee injury in the past, so they put me on a treadmill and analysed my running style. I’ve got my shoes now for a couple of weeks and I love running as never before. Excellent service!
