I hired a car trailer twice in two weeks. Easy easy easy, great price and even gave me a refund discount for getting back early! Short of serving chips and drinks I can’t think how they could have done a better job.

Hired a trencher for the day from Smart Hire Oakleigh. Harry who served me was very pleasant and informative. The rest of the crew were jovial, & also friendly. Jordan assisted by loading dredger on their trailer, and showed me how to operate. He was also very polite, friendly and informative. All up, a most pleasant customer experience. Have been using smart hire for many years from drain cleaners to now a shower. Always find the staff very helpful friendly and polite.

Hired a scissor lift for the weekend to safely paint a pergola frame. Made the job so much easier, and the price wasn't much different than scaffold hire. Had a minor issue on collection, but that was all sorted out when I returned the lift and trailer. Will definitely be hiring from Smart Hire Oakleigh again.

Had a small burst pipe. Hired a fan and a dehumidifier to clear up the damage. No issues at all when we needed an additional day. Lovely staff and great service!

Needed a portaloo last minute because another hire company didn’t actually have what they claimed they did and these guys really pulled through, they were able to get one delivered to me all the way over in Melton within a few hours. Sebastian is a top bloke and I was really impressed with his customer service, really went above and beyond!

The customer service representative that I spoke to, Alex. Had a really bad energy, was rude and clearly didn't want our business.
They don't offer insurance which is a bit of a deterrent for us based on our needs, but was still open to considering Smart hire based on its good reviews. But that one short phone call made it very clear that Smart hire won't be a reliable choice nor would it be something we could financially support based on the unwarranted bad customer service offered.

Great service. Hired a furniture trailer for a week, and it was great. I especially was grateful for the trailer lock, as had to overnight at some sketchy places!

Awesome service, well priced, very easy to deal with. Hired a lawn/turf cutter which started first pull every time.

Hired bike trailers, box trailers, Jack hammers, power tools. These guys have everything and plenty of it, never had an issue getting what we want when we need it. The staff at Oakleigh are super helpful and always good for a laugh. Highly recommend and will definitely continue hiring here.
