Myself and my wife enjoyed beautiful food experience in here today. Loved Kothu porotta and mocktail. Great ambience. I felt background music was bit loud and would have been better if you played soft music over rock. Thanks for your service.

Food is great while chatting with our friends, staff trying to kick us out for the next booking of our table, while so many empty seats and tables available, that's spoiled our catch-up, finally manager has accommodate us all & enjoy the food and Lankan Beer & drinks.

I have dined at SL coconut tree many times and recently booked them to cater for my son’s first birthday. Their food has been nothing but exceptional always serving good quality Sri Lankan cuisine which has been consistent. Rani has been very accommodative and flexible. Her team handled my party effortlessly.

Superb Srilankan Restaurant which I went. Their food and service are really appreciated. If you want to get really experienced in Srilankan, Indian, Thai foods this is the place I recommend.

We have always loved the string hopper kothu, palak paneer and Ceylon lamb curry. No issues dining in, but it is hit and miss on takeaways. Our latest kothu and curry had a bucket load of chopped chilli which is their new way of making it 'medium' apparently.

We went without making a reservation and they did not take us at 8.20 even though they had tables. Very rude receptionist.

Food is good but service is bad. Long wait time even though there were only few customers. Recommended for take away. Poor customer service may ruin your dine-in experience.

Really good Srilankan restaurant.food is amazing.will add photos next time… I was there with my office staff, so taking photos wasn’t appropriate… lol.

Loved the food but beware if you can’t handle chili heat - ask for Mild as they do offer this. Such delicious food.

The food is absolutely delicious, amazing flavours and variety. We have tried so many dishes now as nothing disappoints! The Colombo style pepper beef is out of this world. Lovely ambiance and reallyfriendly service.

This little gem of a restaurant is a must if you’re a fan of Sri Lankan cuisine. They also have Indian and Thai dishes. However, we only tried Sri Lankan ones and they did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was on point and cannot fault even if I tried so hard.

The team is very polite and attentive. They took time with us, especially the two girls who were super nice, and the food came with good presentation, fresh and super yummy. Definitely going back to try more dishes soon. Photos might not do the justice so we’ll be back to spend more on food.

Overall: A+

I am by no means a sea food connoisseur, but this was phenomenal!
The most memorable meal of the weekend. Every person that entered the building was greeted and treated good. They followed all the COVID safety measures. That was merely the tip of the iceberg for their high quality service. We were given complimentary edamame because our meal would be delayed, but they were still quicker than countless other restaurants.

Service: A+

We ordered a Jaffna Crab curry,  Haryali Chicken curry, Lamp rice, Idiyappams, Kothu roti.

The meat was extremely fresh and they were generous with their taste, very little filler was used. The Kothu roti was a standout, the presentation and the combination of spicy and sweet flavors are a nice addition. A must try.

Food: A+

The inside of the restaurant had gorgeous wooden tables/booths and coconut tree theme and gave a modern feel to the restaurant. The option of mocktails is also available. The place is suitable for both families and for friends.

Ambiance: A+

The restaurant is well maintained and clean, a must where raw fish is being consumed.

Cleanliness: A+

One of the worst food experience I have had in recent times. More food went into rubbish than we ate it
We placed the following delivery order yesterday
Red curry vegetarian - average taste, have tasted much better red curries
Vegetarian curry puff - this was alright, you deserve 1 star for this
Devilled cashews - this was alright as well, you deserve 1 star for this
Devilled prawn curry - Worst curry we ever head, it was an extremely spicy sugar syrup, unedible. Went to the bin straightaway
Srilankan kottu roti - Never eaten a sweet kottu roti
Thai fried rice - Bland, no flavours
Chicken soup - Again bland, no flavours, went to the bin
Tom yum soup (ordered vegetarian but received seafood one) - This was the biggest let off, one of us who is a vegetarian was looking forward for this soup but was shocked to see prawns in the soup When we called the restaurant, they admitted that they failed to let the kitchen know about this. UNACCEPTABLE!
Overall I would never order food from this restaurant. It was heartbreaking to see so much food wasted!

My Wife is Malaysian and a Le Cordon Bleu qualified French cuisine and patisserie Chef. However she has also acquired a very high standard of proficiency in Sri Lankan cuisine over the past many years. She rates the food at Coconut Tree "as good or even better than the food she has had in Sri Lanka itself" - and that say a lot about the quality and authenticity of the food here. I could not agree more. More importantly the warmth of the hospitality by RANI and her staff was exceptional. We would recommend Coconut Tree very highly. We had to travel 35km to get there for dinner but it was worth it. Well done Rani and team.
