The site view was good but the manager's behaviour was really bad and racist.
He was very impolite and rude, he used F word in front of children and women.
I could not believe he acts that way in today world.
Never come back again.

Good location close to beach, but owner is very creepy towards women and girls, he made my sister and I feel very uncomfortable and we ended up leaving a night early.

Jo and Charlie the owners were personable and lovely, they couldn’t do enough to help us. Beautiful people and location

I mean, it’s ok, I have stayed at way better places though. The annoying thing is the spaces are so cramped and barley any have power. The wifi is also very bad and food is more expensive than your local supermarket. It’s great if you are coming for a 1 or 2 day stay, but if you are staying for a week (like I did) then don’t go here, there are better options.

Honestly so appalled by the way the lady spoke to me over the phone! She was very rude and had an attitude about her. Refused to answer my question until I answered hers. Not very helpful when making an enquiry!

Great camping with your dog right next to the beach. While amenities were functional, they could do with an upgrade.

Very friendly park owner / manager, attracts great friendly people, write on an amazing beach. Park appears dog friendly too. Caravan cabins are not much but coasy, tent caravan and camper trailer spots are quite flat and good mowed grass. Has play room, bbq etc. Great place if surfer, family or want to camp right next to the beach.

Absolutely love this place. It’s not your upmarket kind of campground but it’s quiet and the workers there are so friendly and welcoming. It has all the amenities you need. The beach is just a few steps away. It’s perfect. Away from all the busy areas of tourists so the campsite and beach is more than inviting. Can not recommend it highly enough.

Very friendly and obliging staff. Smack on the beach just a short drive or ride to Apollo but is closed June to Sept.

Charlie the owner a very greedy man financially, he is also very sleazy. Other than Charlie (who made the trip hell) it was quite nice, girls were cute, staff were nice. Charlie also has a tendency to cram everyone into small spaces and charge you crazy amounts. He drives prices up like crazy from donuts to the spot it’s insane.

We have just arrived back from our fourth Easter Holiday at Skenes Creek Beachfront Park. We have decided that this will be our Easter Destination until we are old and grey or until we retire to Apollo Bay. For my husband and myself, it is like stepping back in to the 80s. For our teenage children, they still get excited about this holiday every year. There is a certain "grunge" aspect to the park, the facilities are old, the front store and reception are reminiscent of the surf shops of old and Charlie who runs the park looks like an "old surfie". I have read reviews in the past about the old toilets and showers however they are always clean and during busy times twice a day. There are kitchen facilities along with washing machines and dryers which take coins but are reasonably priced. There are powered and non powered sites and you are literally ON the beach. A 20 ft walk takes you on to the glorious Skenes Creek Beach, and if you love walking, will take you on a beautiful 7km walk in to Apollo Bay. At low tide you can scramble around the rocks and rock pools with the kids, fossicking for shells or fish off the rocks. And there are great surf spots all along the beaches.
The best thing of all is that although this is such a family friendly caravan park, there are travellers who come along just for a night or two, or with younger groups of people who just want to set up for a while and chill, or surf, fish or whatever they desire.
We are a dog family so of course the best thing is we can bring our dog. Yes, this is a dog lovers park. The dogs get some wonderful opportunities to run around on the beach. Charlie runs a tight ship so in all of our time there we have never had an incident between our dog and other dogs or with anyone else for that matter. And it feels like once you enter the park you are entering the Skenes Creek Beachfront community. Parents can feel safe in this place with young children roaming around. This is pretty amazing given there are 80 sites in the park and Easter is very busy. You can just totally relax in this "down to earth" haven. By the way, there is a beautiful fish and chippery up at the top of Apollo Bay overlooking the harbour and Georgios in town makes the best pizzas ever! We are now thinking of visiting in Summer this year. One more thing, this year we had the yummiest hot donuts organised by Charlie for park and there is a Pizza van which sets up over Easter so if you don't want to you don't even have to leave the park!
If you are wanting a dog friendly down to earth experience in an ideal location, with friendly and efficient service and not the Sterility of the Big 4 Parks, give this little Gem of a place a go. Attached is a pic of a Skenes Creek sunrise! We hope to see you there.

We had a great stay with our dog. We couldn't have asked for a better beach spot. Our site was a great size and protected when the wind picked up. Staff/owner were super nice and made time to chat, even when it was busy.

Terrible customer service, the owner is absolutely rude and unprofessional. Heaps of better spots down the coast.

Caravan park and camping about as close to the beach as your going to get. Little store makes great coffee and offers a few bits and pieces you’ll need while there. Close to Apollo Bay for restaurants and larger supermarkets. Boom wary if you intend to stay over holiday periods, gets booked out well in advance. Highly recommend to stay!

Great location right on the beach, but with a good amount of shelter from the bushes, and only 10min drive from all the amenities of Apollo Bay. Fairly reasonable price at $47 a night for 3 in (unpowered) tent. Decent hot showers, friendly staff, little shop on site. Chose to stay an extra night

Had a great experience at this camp site, people here are friendly. Owner Charlie? Is very welcoming, and make you feel at home. Facilities are very good and campsite is right beside the beach. I definitely come back

This place is by far, the worst place I've ever stayed in my life.

It's a clear representation of his manager, a low class, sad man who treats people with the outmost disrespect.

He not only mistreated us but overcharged my card after I left the establishment. I am now dealing with my bank to try to recover these fraudulent charges. A real nightmare.

It's a shame to see that they are trying to drown the real terrible experiences by real people with fake 5 star experiences. Be VERY careful.

I have travelled so many places in Australia all with good memories except this one.this camp was the only nightmare I encountered in Australia so far. It was filthy, crowd and the manager of site was very rude and took advantage of limited space to raise price like crazy! Unlucky we reached great ocean in peak season, everywhere was full, this was the last hope we could find to stay. However we were told by the reception that only half size of unpowered site left, if we can squeeze in we can stay. We were fine with that as our campervan was small car type. Then the reception asked we pay 40. We were also fine with that because people queueing in front all paid 40. But the site manage immediatly shouted out pay 50! He was so rude and so bad just took advantage of us. We were so upset and we drove away. Thay day we end up nowhere to stay. That was really bad memories and such unfriendly and greedy ppl I met in Australia.

Not too crowded. A nice expanse of clean sand. Can find a sheltered spot in multiple wind directions. Can play in the shallows and shore breaks, just keep an eye out for the rip. I see lots of surfers. Not being a surfer, I cannot be sure, but it seems to accommodate beginners upward.
