Silverwater Resort reviews
40Very dirty and unpleasant smell. It didn’t seem like it was cleaned properly. Was instructed to do my own dishes and throw out rubbish or an additional charge would be added on. The windows had no fly screens. Breakfast buffet was so disgusting paid $50 for nothing. Also had to pay for extra towels. The conjoined restaurant (watermark restaurant) paid $80 for two items (the chicken in the butter chicken was very disgusting and tasted off) returned all my items back. The only thing edible was the dinner rolls. My parking for my car was a five minute walk from my room. Would never go back even if someone paid me.
You need to listen to your clients when they have a medical exemption for masks.
Look elsewhere for accommodation.for service that is more accommodating.
A very nice place to stay with plenty of facilities. The staff are nice and the apartments lovely. Thank goodness they were self contained as lockdown robbed is of room service
Overall enjoyed the stay, great accommodation facilities, however do not recommend anyone to use the Resturant as the food has been overpriced and not up to standard, further long wait for food to arrive post order.we spent just over 2hrs just for a basic lunch order.
Good place. Nice and neat. Everything nearby.
Friendly staffs.
Must try breakfast.
Only thing you need to be careful extra charged.
I changed my dates couple of times because VIC lockdown.
End up changed 1×3beds to 2×2beds but they charged me double times and plus rate different as well.
Asked them to refund and they apologized&refund money. (it was pending refund)
However, after few days my refund disappeared.
Request my refund again now and waiting for response.
So, people who don't have time to check account regularly be careful.
They can charge anything they want to.
Kids are encouraged with jumping pillows and playground. The indoor heated pool was a hit with our 5yo granddaughter as the weather was very ordinary. Would be good to have another more casual dining area for those with kids but food was great. Very clean room and friendly cleaners.
We absolutely loved our stay here. Indoor pool in cold weather was a massive hit. Bedrooms a great size. Beautiful view. Everything we could need in an apartment. Request a top apartment to avoid overhead noise. Loved our time away.
Located just off the main reception and with a nice view of Western Port Bay. This venue does a very nice buffet breakfast with all the trimmings.
It's ok the staff some more friendly than others I asked for just a steak and chips and salad, I will have to ask the Chef was the reply.
We pay for 2 bed room apartment but we couldnt use one of bed room becouse all carpet was rain water coming inside from wall and no one care about that so we are ripped off
Check-in was slow as the reception lady continued to chat to a colleague and did not acknowledge my presence. Room was clean apart for the dirty towel hanging from the back of the bathroom door. Other than that it was a pleasant and comfortable stay
Very disappointed with this so called "resort". Let's be honest, it's not a resort at all. More like granny flats, the room smells like mould and many damages (carpet, wall and ceiling, etc).
We booked for a king bed and a queen bed room, instead we got a queen and 2 singles, according to them 2 singles is a king bed, since when? And we also booked and paid extra for a Ocean view room, they gave us a garden view. They blamed us for making a booking via Expedia (amex) not directly to them. Seriously? That's a very poor excuse.
We paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 night because of this terrible experience. Won't ever comeback and won't recommend this "resort" to anyone else.
Place is nice but staff were arragent and smug
If your a local, you might be treated better and seated at the restaurant
For us, we were looked down upon and seated in some corner while my 2 and 5 year old girls watched eveone else enjoy the ocean views
For all you honest hard-working families looking for a get away, don't expect a heart warming welvome.
Excellent resort style accommodation, bar and restaurant. Has loads of facilities, apartments are well maintained. Staff are lovely. Just a bit far from the cafes, beach etc in town for a walk.
We booked a 3 bedroom villa and I must say that the views are amazing. The villa was well equipped to accommodate 6 people comfortably. The kitchen was also well equipped with barbecue facilities. The pool and tennis court and recreation areas were also great. The reception staff were very friendly. 5 star resort at a reasonable price.
What a great place! Beautiful room and balcony with everything you need including a full kitchen, fridge and laundry. Two fantastic pools - one indoor and one outdoor. Great restaurant and bar with delicious food and drinks at a very reasonable price. Also very family friendly with a great outdoor play area with jumping islands and a massive tennis court. Only a few minutes to San Remo main strip and about 20 mins to Phillip Island. Will definitely be back.
I lived in an apartment there with my girlfriend the apartment was really good so clean and big enough and the bathroom was clean too and the bed was so comfortable and big BUT when it comes to the breakfast buffet, just don’t expect a lot so that you don’t get disappointed.
The views are amazing.
Guaranteed to capture that amazing shot.
Rooms are clean and spacious and have everything you need.
However for us ladies that like to wash our hair and need two towels, you better bring a spare because they only supply you with two, and if you're sharing a room with your partner or friend you could end up fighting over the towels.
I was really looking forward to our stay at Silverwater Resort.
I booked a 3 bedroom apartment with a Groupon voucher.
The property looks impressive from the road, and the views are amazing; but those are the highlights.
As you can see in the pictures- this property is not 4.5 stars as advertised. It is run down. There is a lack of care evident throughout- cracked mirror, threadbare carpet, torn couch cushions.
The heating is ineffective- we were cold throughout our stay, despite having maintenance come over to make sure the unit was on. The apartment really only warmed up on the 3rd day, and that was after we were told to leave the heating on 24/7.
The door to the balcony was key locked and unable to be opened, so we had the symphony of chairs banging up and down in the strong winds; which required a call to reception to send someone to come open the door; and stack the chairs.
The washing machine worked well- but the dryer did not. I packed enough clothes for this trip on the basis that we had laundry facilities. Instead, after 4 cycles of the dryer and damp clothes, I called reception for help. The phone rang out twice. I then ventured up to reception to ask for assistance. I was promised somebody would be down to help- nobody came. I then had to ring on the morning of our checkout at 7.30am to ask if they could please put my clothes through a dryer, as all of my kids warm pants and jackets were damp.
The friendly maintenance man, Ian, came to collect them and brought them back dry and folded at 9.15am, just before we checked out.
The games room is disappointing- everything requires a gold coin to be played. There is a table tennis table, but you have to walk up to reception to get the bats and balls- with the wind and rain, we decided against this.
One of the girls on reception is quite rude, and every time I needed to make contact to get a maintenance issue rectified, I felt like we were a great inconvenience.
I see there are lots of other reviews from guests happy with their accommodation, so maybe there are other rooms/apartments in much better condition. But I'd recommend you don't stay in apartment 122.
Beautiful views from this property especially Lakeside and modern layouts. They should think of electric blankets on beds though. Take your hot water bottle.
