Shujinko Flinders reviews
42Fast, delicious ramen noodles and convenient as it's right across Flinders Street Station! You can quickly grab a quick feed before heading out to your errands.
Great service, quick, efficient and friendly.
Taste great and authentic.
A little expensive tho.would be great if there's more condiments to increase the value for the price they are charging
Very authentic ramens with rice option - karaage or to katsu. Ramens is yummy with good pork broth.
I thought it was a 3.5 but we avegages it to 2.9 rounded is 3 so thank my friends for the low rating, good food tho
I ordered black Raman and extra bamboo shoots.
The spicy was awesome, however the reason I gave it 3 stars was in this picture.the pork belly was hot, the noodles were hot, and soup definitely hot.and the egg, Bok Choy and bamboo shoots even were served cold.it is really influenced the taste!
I mean the cold is not room temperature, if room temperature I could accept, because I think most of shops they do this, but it is cold! I mean cold!
Sorry, but I’m quite disappointed
We got recommended from a friend and have very high expectations here.i ordered a spicy ramen and my friend can’t have pork so she asked if she could change the pork into tofu but got rejected.then she got a miso vegetable one.the noodles are really nice and chewable.but the soup is a little too salty and don’t really have a very impressive flavour.
The best ever ramen. Hoping the opening hours will catch up, as it seems to be closing disappointingly early these days. We want our 24/7 Shujinko!:)
We had the most amazing Ramen at this place
Worth the hype. A go to place for Ramen cravings.
The below review was based on my experience back in Feb 2020. Since then I never went back to this place. I used to love visiting this place as it's close to the art centre which makes it a perfect place for a quick eat before the show starts. In that most recent visit, I couldn't help noticing there were cockroaches running inside the plastic lighting area on the desk which is the one shown on the photo. When paying for my meal, the female cashier gave out changes that is way off from the correct amount which made me think whether she had done it on purpose. When I pointed it out to her, she was unapologetic and acted like nothing happened.
Amaaazing ramen! We drive an hour to come to this place now. Brings up memories of our visit to Japan. Thank you for the lovely, quick and easy experience every time!
I ordered the signature dish (Shujinko) and it is very salty. The staff was very nice, but the food just very bad
Ramen always on point. Also good is some broths do not have seafood which is good for me aa I have a seafood allergy.
Really nice Ramen, with fast and friendly service. A touch pricey but considering the location it is not over the top.
Horrible food. Horrible staff. Ordered Shujinko Don. Karage was stale, tasteless, premade salad got soaked wet with overcooked rice and mayo. Randomly chewy ginger pickles made it even worse. Visited at about 11am 7th of Jan. The female staff was absolutely rude as well. She pushed my food to my arms while I was checking my work email without saying anything and left, when I was already getting angry because the food came out by the time the guy who came in at the same time as me finished and left. Please don't go here for food. This place is absolutely overrated.
Average taste. The servers keep spilling food on your back while you are eating. Small and squishy place. A person eating next to me kept coughing without properly cover his mouth and nose. The whole experience was terrible. Also heard they talking down to their customers by themselves in their mother tongue.
I often get lunch here (or the Elizabeth St location) after class. A few vegetarian options, including a great ramen.
Cozy true-feel ramen place. Chose the signature one and it was awesome! Will satisfy ramen lovers
Quick. Great service. Inexpensive. But honestly, some of the best ramen I've ever had. The spicy tonkostu is to die for. It's so flavorful with just enough kick to not overpower the salty, porky flavor. The noodles are delicious and cooked to perfection. The sake they have has two flavors, lemon and plum, and both are amazing and some of the cheapest ways to get (at least) tipsy on all of Flinders Street. Don't miss this.
Good ramen with vegetarian options and open until late. Staff were attentive and ramen was tasty. Would have preferred more vegetarian options on the menu, but the one I had was nice.
