Shujinko Flinders reviews
42The food was really good, but the service wasn’t the best. In fact, I feel the people didn’t have any intention to help my family and myself when we ate at Shujinko. What kinda ruined the environment.
Ramen for the Australian palette. Soup tasted like plain broth. Ramen spoons were plastic. Beer mugs were not chilled. No condiments on the table or by request.
$20 for a regular sized bowl of ramen and they still charge you $1 extra to make it spicy.
Foods price has gone up and somehow quality has gotten worse. Super oily, the taste is not there and just doesn’t seem authentic anymore. Feels like there is more grease in my dish than Maccas. Sad to see it slide since I really liked it last time. Not coming back
Place was easy to spot and close to Flinders Train Station—great if you’re taking the train after having a meal here and is also close to Degraves Street if you’re having coffee after.
Tried their Karakuchi ramen—loved the broth and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Menu says it’s medium spicy but was less spicier than I thought so perhaps will request for additional spice next time.
Place wasn’t busy during my visit hence service was very quick.
Dirty dish ever! It seams like they've never cleaned it ever since they opened the restaurant You may see it at others photos. I couldn't finish.
Today i came at 6 pm - table 27 - nearby flinder station - i ordered Ramen - too too too salty - can not eat - eat half and could not try to finish that.
Not recommended (even I’m an easy going person but the taste is like ….
Please check the soup.
Just like the one up on Russell Street, and probably like the one opening up in Melbourne Central, fantastic authentic ramen dishes with proper tonkotsu broth. Highly recommended.
My first ever Ramin, loved the idea of ordering ant the table with barcode an paying at the same time. The only thing i had an issue with was tye changes. Because its done through barcode i wasnt sure if it would be clear when made. Sure enough, they had to come an confirm the order which still wasnt clear. But experience was good.
A hidden gem in Melbourne CBD! An excellent Japanese restaurant with an authentic style to the service and the food!
Best Shunjinko I've been to. Quick and good service and the karakuchi ramen was actual spicy spicy here. Broth was on point.
We arrived at 2235 and sign said last order at 2300. Man met us at the door and very rudely said, "kitchen closed" I will never come back here.
I have not rated any other restaurants, but I wanted to give a kudos to the lovely staff with their great service together with the good food! Definitely coming back.
Service was great with fast serving. However the ramen was so so, big bowl but small portion, soup base was relatively bland, perhaps a different style from other Japanese restaurants I've been to. Fried chicken was way below par given the price on a higher side. I don't like the concept of weekend surcharge for dine-in though it's just 5bucks.
Small portion of ramen in a super big bowl, but good.
There are other options; tonkatsu, aged assistance tofu and the rest.
Enjoyable dinner, ambiance and service.
Service was absolutely lovely and very quick too! But I found the ramen to be a fairly small portion, especially for the price. I tried the black ramen and while it had a little bit of spice to it, overall it was pretty bland.
They have a weekend surcharge of 10% which is pretty ridiculous. Other than that, nice food and ambience.
On a cold day without the right jacket, I could smell the deliciousness of this ramen joint from outside. Inside was warm, fragrant and very very Japanese. The ramen was delicious, and we really enjoyed looking through the dioramas and figurines (one piece and naruto feature heavily). Cheap and very cheerful.
The noodle soup little small and taste not really good and expensive. Not worth. Everything is EXTRA EXTRA PAY. ALSO had to use the app everytime.
Great service such a nice and fun store to go into has some dam banngers on the speakers and great food love the eggs in the miso soup I only vist once a year but it's worth it very affordable like I don't even know how they make money because it's so cheep you don't even need to talk to the staff ethier they just set you up a table and order from your phone but I just order over the counter
