Shujinko Elizabeth / Parco Ramen Yatai

The signature ramen is signature for a reason - its bloody good. Don't get tempted by the fancy lobster ramen etc - having tried both, in the end the classic one is still the best.

I was born and raised in Japan, am a big fun of this ramen bar. I’ve tried most of the ramen bars in Melbourne.

I used to have ramen at least twice a week when I was in Japan though, pretty sure PARCO is quite competitive even in Tokyo.
If you find it’s expensive, I highly recommend just have some Japanese instant ramen at home not joking. Price is average or cheaper in Melbourne.

Menu is consists of unique one and variety of different. I guess they are trying to produce something new. Vege ramen was surprisingly thick enough in spite of it made from Vege. I reckon it’s closest to authentic one.

Personally I love the truffle ramen the best!

Went there this Thursday with my mates and the restaurant was full capacity. The food service was fast and really good but what made our experience the best is the customer service of the lady with the short hair. She was alone serving everybody and doing it PERFECTLY you can tell she"s smiling and happy even under the mask. So far the best customer service among Shujinko in the CBD. You should hire more people like her a total pro!

Worst customer service ever.the food was definitely off and quite tasteless, but the customer service was even worse.the manager was rude and keeps on rushing us to leave after we finished the food.in addition, it was also a scam as my melbourne money claim wouldn't fall through due to the restaurant was not participating in the program when they clearly have a huge poster on the store. I tried to claim this over and over and make sure everything is correct. When I phoned the restaurant a couple of times and try to confirm it (perhaps because they have a different address and store name in the receipt), one of the staff who receive my phone call just laughed at me? She was laughing and simply said "you're the only one who experienced that"

in conclusion, save yourself and do not dine in this restaurant.you can get way better ramen and customer service in other stores with similar price:)

Gave it a second go after 3 years. Still loved the pork chashu, friendly staffs and service, intimate little place for lunch. I personally find the broth too thick and oily to my liking, i also like my broth hotter too. The ramen noodles was okay and there are better options in the city.

Average compared to Russell st store. Only gave 2 stars because friendly service. The broth not nice flavour, very bland.

The Spicy Signature Ramen is very delicious! The broth has so many layers of savory, salty and unami; the noodles are bouncy and chewy and the egg yolk is gloriously jammy! While I am not the biggest fan of Shujinko's style of char siu pork, their ramen is something I always come back to
Also the truffle fries are really addicting!

I used to love this ramen joint but somehow the quality of food changing drastically. The broth were so tasteless, the meat wasn't tender. Pork gyoza came burnt, charcoal burnt! When we complain to the waitress, she said this is how its supposed to be done? Very disappointed.

Lobster ramen is good. Pricey and on the small side. But what is with the weekend charge PLUS additional card surcharge with only one method of paying?

Waitresses were talking to the bowls when bowls of noodle being taken our of kitchen. Chef and waitress were also doing small chat over the kitchen/dining divider, loudly enough for me to heard all the content clearly. Pushy for letting me scan the QR code and pay over there, which I don't like. I prefer to pay using card tapping. Finally, the broth taste differently. I came here for a nice of ramen since its open and now see it is going backwards. Going to find a new ramen place.

Absolutely blown away by the chicken tsukemen. Having been to Japan 7 times in the past decade, this was one of the most unique and flavoursome ramens I have ever had (and I've been all over Kyushu!).

We added the bamboo shoots for some extra sweetness, we ordered mild and glad we did, it was the perfect level of spice. It is a large serve and you won't need sides.

You can order via the app. All very easy.

They have absolutely nailed the flavours of the Ramen. Brought me back to my fond memories of eating a hearty ramen in Japan.
I would highly recommend this place.

Lobster broth ramen with the signature smoked pork charshew ramen.

The portion looks small, but when you start eating it, oh gosh I could not finish the ramen! The highlight is definitely the lobster broth, as it is very thick and you can taste the lobster well. The charshiew has a hint of charcoal smell as they smoked it before.

Superb delicate authentic Japanese cuisine at its Finest, accompanied by its equally delicate, unobtrusive attentive service. The ambiance for friends to gather. Highly recommended!

Best Vegan Ramen in town! Highly recommend, lots of veggy and vegan options in the menu, and great selection of Japanese beers! Love sitting on Elizabeth St and watch the city unfold. Will definitely be back!

Consistently some of the best flavours in the city. Parco project has everything I love about shujinko, but with a really lovely European twist on some of the broths.

The food was not great.expensive than Russell street. Ordered lobster ramen full tail and it’s was plain and small.

By far the best Ramen I have ever had, went with the Lobster and it was amazing. My partner got the Vegan it too was brilliant. This is seriously the place you want to go.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was great nice tunes and not overly busy, the staff were fantastic and very helpful. This was the first time I had ramen and it was great I got the spicy pork dish and a large beer. The food was fresh and the flavours were delicious.
