Showtime Events Centre

Showtime Event Centre puts the magic in the word magical. This gorgeous historic structure will take your breath away from the moment you walk in the glass doors. From the food being delectable and the service impeccable, this unique event space is one of a kind and a gem to the city of Melbourne.

Amazing atmosphere, food, service, amenities. Attended a wedding reception there on 3 January 2016 and have to say it has to be up there with the very best of reception venues. Could not fault anything. Totally agree with everything that Samatha Duff has posted.

From a wedding photographer's perspective, Showtime Events is an attractive venue for a wedding reception celebration. The decor is attractive, the dance floor is in the centre of the room, and there is plenty of space to be comfortable.

The only cons as a wedding photographer is the access, and it's a little too dark. Being quite far from the car park a couple hundred metres away, it means I have to allow more time to set up before the bridal party enters, and being a dark venue, I have to setup lights on stands to illuminate the dance floor area. No bounce flash here, the ceiling is painted black. Otherwise, I do like this venue very much, and resulting photographs are quite attractive.
