Showbiz Cinemas Ballarat reviews
57Carefull signing up for memberships.make sure know what deals are.website says 12 membership.free ticket.and $10 ticket to go in.we got 2 memberships.no free tickets.still charged full price.normaly would not worry but my grand daughter shouted.ended up costing her tripple price.and seats are starting to break.besides that its nice and quiet.
Took my wife and children Showbiz Cinemas on the weekend to see the lion king, when i rang the cinema to book tickets, I was firstly disappointed that they do not do phone bookings, but once it was explained to me by Brandon the young man on the phone, how easy it was to join the membership and then book tickets on line, and allowing me to book my own seat.it also made it possible for me to arrive at the cinema 10min prior to my session, grab my Popcorn and drinks and walk straight to the cinema and my seat, thanks Showbiz
Great parking, friendly staff, however for smaller people the seats can be uncomfortable due to some seats being stiff to recline, but good experience.
Cheap tickets, cozy seating, little issues with tall audience.
I've been here for two movies now, both times have been super comfortable in their reclining chairs. This is definitely one of the best cinemas in the area.
They have a good selection of food, which is self serve and pre-packaged.
Lines are short if at all, pre-purchasing tickets online is a godsend. Would recommend doing this as it's allocated seating.
Slower waiting times between sessions than big cinemas. But nice seats and good prices. Byo candy as they only have a limited range. They need a candy bar
Took my wife to see that weird Dunkirk movie. The theatre was great except when the Germans shot at the hero we nearly went deaf from the intensity of the gunshots! Maybe turn the volume down a bit. Oh yeah, I know Tom Hardy thinks he's great but no one can fly a Spitfire for half an hour with no fuel! Good theatre but silly movie!
Absolutly appaled by our experience tonight. We took our 6 year old daughter to see secret life of pets 2. We go in all good. A lady was in our seats was asked to move and sat in front of us. Im talking to my daughter who mind you has special needs and i need to be interactive with her in order for her to sit through the move and she asked me to keep it down as im the loudest person there lol its a kids movie so unlikley and was also Quite rude about it.so my daughter starts playing up my question is why i had to leave and not her? She later states that she works with kids with special needs? If she did wouldnt she have picked up on the way i was talking to my daughter that maby I KNOW my kid and I KNOW how to keep her calm by interracting with her and being engageing? All because she got asked to move seats. As you can all image i was quite emotional about the hole situation. I still am. So over ppl judging my sweet little girl. It happens all the time. Kindness and understanding gose a long way. So I ask pls don't judge what you don't know. Ask. Its a kids move ffs. And to the lovely young lady who actually took the time to come speek to me a big huge thankyou for your kindness and taking the time to ask and understand our situation you are a true gem.
Everything you could want from a cinema, comfortable seating, good service, and cheap tickets.
Food can be a bit expensive though as I don't think they have bundle deals on their snacks and drinks.
Great cinema, SUPER COMFY Chairs that reclaine a little bit, cheaper tickets than Regent, and its not in a Pub/club district which is a bonus.all new CLEAN Toilets, we had a great experience
Beautiful clean and new cinema rooms, would have better with real recliner seats instead of the push back ones. Other then that its really cool!
Ordered tickets online and walked right in. Queue was out the door. Snack bar and ticket bar are the same line so get in early otherwise you'll miss the start of the movie with the wait if it's busy.
Don't have to worry about parking, its so easy to get. Theatres are cosy & you can pick how close to the screen you want to be
Nice Cinema, comfy seats. Shame we went during the day as there was a really loud obnoxious kid sitting behind us that wouldn't shut up.
Not so shabby. Parking is easy and the entrance easy to spot. We were in cinema 4, which was fine. You must sit in your allocated seating. Chairs are faux leather and a re quite comfortable however they squeak a bit when people move. Sit really still
Little small but once the movie started it didn't matter. I was shocked to find that I had allocated seating but was not informed by staff. Little embarrassing to be asked to move by other guests. I prefer a first come best dressed approach to cinema viewing. Not reserve and be privileged.
Cheap tickets, comfy seats, clean cinemas and not overcrowded. Plus easy, free parking! What's not to love. My preferred cinema in Ballarat these days.
Positives: the staff are friendly and parking is free and accessible to the cinema. The cinema itself has great quality screens and audio with wonderfully comfortable seating. If you are a member the ticketing price is very reasonable. If you're not, it is a little more expensive than the average price of a cinema ticket. Not so positive: the food is phenomenally over-priced and staff oversee a strict no external food/drink policy. The movie selection is quite narrow and session times are also limited. On my last visit to Showbiz, the melodic screams of Lady Gaga were overshadowed by the screams of multiple babies. This probably would not be an issue if there were 'crybaby' screenings available.
