78Came here for dinner and had the shoyu with pork belly and the miso with BBQ chicken ramen. The shoyu ramen had a clear broth, clean tasting but the added yuzu oil was quite overpowering with the citrusy flavour. Would be great if they had it on the side so you can adjust. Pork belly was quite lean but tender, marinated egg was perfectly cooked with a creamy yolk; and the king oyster mushroom and the Chinese broccoli made this ramen taste healthy. Preferred the miso ramen which had a strong depth of flavour paired with the tasty BBQ chicken seasoned with spices and some vegetables to change up the flavour such as the burnt cabbage and the buttered corn. Also had the ice cream pie for dessert which was a matcha and black sesame flavour during this visit. The ice cream was dense and creamy with a hard biscuit base which tasted like Anzac biscuit (sweet honey taste).
We had chicken Ramen there and that was unbelievably tasty. Very professional staff and menu.
Good was okay, with ramen price a little expensive for what it was. What annoyed me was the fact the push to get us to eat quick and then leave. Shop Ramen needs to allow their customers to enjoy their time there rather than kick them out the minute the last noodle is eaten.
Ok.not bad not bad. 4 is Max from me though, but hey look at my review and standards, it's already good.
Enjoyed a whiskey ($12) and bowl of shio ramen ($22.50) on a chilly Wednesday evening. The restaurant was fairly busy with a good buzz but I was seated at the bar without hassle. The service was prompt and friendly and my order came quickly. The lighting and music were on point. The ramen was quite tasty, though the flavour of the broth could have been deeper. The serving size was good, with a balance between the noodles and toppings. I felt the price was reasonable for such a trendy location.
A little fusion ramen shop that doesn’t serve your original rich and creamy tonkotsu broth. However, that doesn’t mean their ramens are not tasty. It features a thicker cut of pork char siu and you could also taste the mushroom flavour in the broth.
Tbh I don’t think I can be friend who don’t like shop ramen.this is my best ramen in naarm so far. Try pork belly shyoyu ramen with yuzu oil and eat with a lot of pepper.
I call this place “heaven”
Amazing. My go-to local lunch venue. The food is great (homemade lemonade also deliciously refreshing), service attentive and efficient, great atmosphere - mostly local WFH’ers during the week, plenty of people watching if seated outside, if desired!
Always full house and no matter it's Monday or Friday be prepared to wait for 15-25 mins. There are way more better ramen places to go to than this one. For What u got, it's on the pricy side. I prefer Shyun, Dojo, Go.
Service was on but one asian male Staff was. Felt like i owe him 100bucks
A decent ramen place. Quick and nice service. Icecream pie is the best! The ramen they served here is not an authentic Japanese style ramen. I tend to like their dried ramen the most as it is refreshing. Their tantan definitely needs a bit more kick. The miso ramen is ok. It is definitely on the pricey side (>$20 per dish).
I was once the biggest advocate for this Ramen place! Unfortunately, over the past few years, and more than 70 visits their service and respect towards their customers has deteriorated to a point where I can no longer eat there. The last time I visited, they totally forgot us and left us out in the cold on the street. I asked for updates twice and they continue to put people in front of us, even though there we were only 2. When they realise the mistake, there was no apology. It was just that we are busy. Well, I hope not for too long.
Place to go for ramen in the inner north. Can get busy, because it’s good! When you have finished the contents of your broth you can add extras such as noodles or veg. They do a vegan ramen which is great!
One of the best ramen places in Melbourne by far… Ingredients and soup bases are fresh and incredible. Seriously delectable!
Bao buns were okay, not great not bad and desert was just a frozen mousse cake
Easily one of the best ramen spots around. The ramen is delicious, we always order the chilli bomb on the side. Baos to start are a must too. Decent seating inside and out, sometimes have to wait a little bit but tables get turned over fast! A must visit spot if your in the mood for ramen!
Cold Yuzu Noodles for when it’s hot out, Shoyu Ramen for when it’s cold out; never disappoints.
I must say, shop ramen has been reliably delicious over the years. The broth is very flavoursome, egg nice and soft, noodles well cooked. Great spot for lunch
Best Ramen in Melbourne. Broth is super creamy, even the vegan option - you won’t miss out here. Had dinner with a group of friends and they all were raving about it. Also enjoyed the plum wine which came in the coolest bottle.
It's very good
Best pork belly
Chicken broth with shoyu (soy) or shio (salt)
Lighter style than tonkotsu
My gf is from japan and rates it highly
Very simple and straight forward dining experience. Food was quick tasty and reasonable. It is busy for lunch and food was pretty authentic. Even the toilet was immaculately clean.
Best Ramen in Melbourne. They also have imported Asahi. Staff are generally pretty good, service is quick. Can be hard to get a table. Get in early and smash that BBQ Miso Chicken ramen. Extra noodles are a must.
