Chiara at the Camberwell store was excellent! Managed to fit my two little ones with some great shoes. She was really patient and engaging with them.
I didn’t have to wait long to be seen and the check in system worked a treat.

Great sales person, got exactly what I needed and no fuss. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that I had a fairly long wait.

Mel at S&S Camberwell was terrific. I’ve been here many times and she provided the best service I’ve ever had. She was helpful and patient particularly given how busy the store was!

Lovely shop assistants, great spot for my daughter to try on her shoes. She is always made to feel very special. A bigger range of colours for the Candy slip ons would be helpful.

I didn't want to expose my kids to COVID so I tried ordering shoes online, but I measured incorrectly and the shoes were too big. I went to the Camberwell store to get the correct size. There was a barrier on entry to the store so they could keep a limited number of people in the shop, and a QR code, and a poster saying the store limit was 14 people. Inside, there were under 14 people, including us. One of the lovely shop staff measured my kids' feet properly. About halfway through our shoe exchange, more people were let into the store. There were 21 people. I said to one of the staff that I felt unsafe because there were so many people in the store, and they didn't reply. I said there was a sign that there could be 14 people in the store, and the staff person said "what do you want me to do? " They then turned away and started talking to another customer. A toddler and his father, who were next to my kids, were coughing. I said again to the staff person that there was a sign that 14 people were allowed in the store, and they said that people get upset if they are asked to wait, and that the store can choose how many people to let in, and that they were going to take down the poster. I got out of there as soon as I could and on the way out, I could no longer see the "14 person limit" poster at the front of the store.

Fitting was simple fast and easy thank you!
Reservation was easy too, but waiting outside was confusing when there were people queued as well.

Wasn't aware I couldn't enter without a mask-given it isn't the law anymore, people don't always come prepared[perhaops provide masks if you are going to insist on them?

I have always been going to shoes and Sox for years to get my children’s school shoes and runners. On this particular occasion the lady I had was quite rude and seemed annoyed when I told her what my son prefers. I went over to have a look at the shoes she had picked out in his size and I was treated as if I had a “disease”and was asked rudely not go near her to see the shoes. I had a mask on and had sanitised my hands so I’m not sure what her problem was given there were other mothers close to their children and close to the person helping them. Wow I’m not sure I’ll be going back there in any hurry. I think I’ll go elsewhere to get my kid’s shoes!

Mel was SOOOOOO patient with our daughter. Tried on half the pairs in the store and ended up with the right fit, right $$ so dad and daughter are both happy.

Great service and so easy to now book online. The fitter took great care to help both my sons, especially my son with very narrow feet. She listened to their favourite colours and tried her best to get colours they would like. Everyone left happy and we will definitely be back! Camberwell is not our closest store but happy to travel a bit further to get a good range of styles and sizes and excellent service

Terrible service! Five people waiting to be served and the sales assistant is chatting away with a customer who has been served already! Ticket machine at play, much like a deli. Doncaster store is much more customer focused. I won't be back.

Bubbly, warm, delightful, welcoming… These are words I’d use to describe Camberwell Blockbuster Video and it’s staff. Unfortunately that establishment closed down 11 years ago, and I’d use none of those adjectives to describe my experience at Shoes & Sox last week.

I was “greeted”, (if you could call it that) by a surly middle aged woman. She had the smile of a disgruntled Doberman and the sunny disposition of Emperor Palpatine, Lord of the Siths.

If it was possible, my 2 year old son was actually behaving for once, however.every half second he dawdled to climb up the stairs to get his foot measured was met with “c’mon hurry up”, sighs, and exacerbated eye rolls. All of these factors combined added to my charmingly un-delightful experience.

The rest of the staff seemed to be ok, but it was hard not to get caught in the tornado of surl. It begs the question, why would someone so surly want to work with kids? It’s the equivalent of getting into the sheering industry but finding the smell of fresh wool “a bit yucky”.

Their prices are ok though… Our closest children’s shoe shop is on Maling Rd and those shoes are like $140 a pair! No one loves their kids THAT much.

I hope this helps future shoppers. 2/5 stars.
