Sho Noodle Bar

Horrible food ever. Paid for $48 for half frozen lobster, Paid for $27 for 6 tiny pieces pork belly with little bit of carrot and the fried gua bao from chef special menu. Seared tuna was fine but the fried rice go with the tuna was cold and taste like overcooked. Used to be a nice restaurant before but very disappointed experience for today. Wouldn’t return and please aware with their “CHEF SPECIAL MENU”

I had low expectations of a Chinese restaurant in the middle of a casino gaming hall. Definitely not disappointed that it was as expected.

Located inside Crown casino is this Chinese restaurant. Although it's name is Sho Noodles Bar, it actually serves a lot more variety of dishes than that.
There is bbq pork, roast pork, roast chicken, roast duck, peking duck, dim sims and friedcrice as well.
And there is Crown special meals every of months ranging from $15.90 to $29.90 members price. A few dollars more if not a member. Join for free and you save a few dollars each time you dine at Crown restaurants.
This time we had the vegetarian tempura udon and the prawn katsu don rice. Both were quite good.
The rice noodle gravy with pork and vegetables (war tan hor) is very delicious. The lobster noodles are nice too but quite pricey.

The lady manager looked unfriendly and unwelcoming but the rest of the staff and food were good

This place is amazing. Don't know why it's rated so low, probably because of disgruntled people who lost at the casino.

Went for dinner with a friend who had been here several times in the past. This was my first visit.

Pros:
- Great atmosphere
- Friendly staff
- Decent menu selection
- Quick service
- Reasonable pricing (This is the Crown after all)
- The starters were tasty

Cons:
- The main course: The Lobster Noodle wasn't tasty. My friend had had this dish several times in the past and said it lacked flavour the evening we went.
- The main course: Kung Pao Chicken was also lacked flavour and for a restaurant like this, I was surprised.
- Not kid friendly as you need to enter this restaurant via the casino floor itself.

Overall: Perhaps the chef was having an off day. But coming from a patron that had been here several times in the past, my friend said the food wasn't that good compared to before.
For my first time coming here, I was disappointed as Kung Pao is one of my favorite dishes. I would be hard pressed to come back here.

We were out for the day and popped into this restaurant, we ordered the pork dumplings that were Luke warm and full of gristle and were more like dim sims, looked raw, we then had the lobster noodles, I’ve never tasted noodles like that, was like 2 min noodles cooked in old oil and old water, just gross… although the lobster was flavourless it was tender and fresh, and the Chinese broccoli we had the end stems, like they had ran out of the dish and used scraps, we did complain but we got laughed at and we paid and that was that. Not recommended for the price and food quality. Bad experience and expensive for rubbish food.

Do not go here.

Food quality and price point were excellent for a restaurant in Crown. The food I would say was comparable to a good suburban or CBD South East Asian (e.g. Chinese and Vietnamese) restaurant and the prices were also comparable. The chilli wontons were delicious. The beef hor fun had a great smokey flavour to it and beef and noodles cooked well. The roast duck with noodle soup was wonderful. Service was friendly. The location is inside the Crown gaming floor, so the atmosphere may not be the greatest- sometimes the background noise gave suburban gaming pub vibes with announcements over the PA system highlighting winners etc. If you want something classy, this won't be it; but we enjoyed the food and were very happy with the price.

Ruined our weekend staying at crown, came in for a quick lunch and almost ended up in emergency with food poisoning - don’t do it to yourself!

I always eat here when visitcrown complex. Food is very good. My favourite is the crispy pork but orher dishes are great. Much more than a noodle bar

We decided, at the last minute, to try this restaurant for dinner and am so glad we did. All the staff was extremely friendly particularly Chi! He was amazing! The food was just made to perfection and was definitely some of the most delicious food we’ve enjoyed.

Got the crispy noodle and it was partially cold. My scallops were cold inside and the mushroom cold. When I complained the waitress was trying to convince me the noodle cooled it down like that. I told her no, it's cold like air-conditioning cold that it's not heated properly.
I felt a bit insulted that she tried to convince me to eat cold seafood. They re did the meal for me and it was slightly better. It was not worth the $28. I've ordered this dish at alot of other places as it's a favourite of mine and this is the worst one I've ever eaten in my life. Slimy flour coating on the prawns, sauce was bland.
My friend got the chicken ribs and it was disappointing, dry meat and the sauce was overly bitter tangy.
My friend apologised bringing us here and he said it was once good. Seeing from the reviews other people had trouble with staff telling them their food was fine even though they complained.

Am Always craving for Combination Crispy noodles, the chef makes my order so crispy with tasty gravy every single time!
It comes in generous portion and never get disappointed

Attended restaurant on 27.1. Ordered the Singapore wok fry. Received only half of a lobster. It's not even a spoonful of lobster. Management refused to change item. DO NOT ORDER.

Dined here with 4 friends Boxing Day, we all had individual meals, my seafood nest arrived cold in a grey sauce very unappealing, told the waitress the meal was cold, she lifted up my plate felt the bottom of it, and told me l were wrong the plate is hot, no matter how much l objected she told me it was hot.
Beyond impressed with the service.

My husband & l had a lovely meal here yesterday. The seafood Laksa was full of flavour & my husband said his po rk belly & duck was delicious. They were very accommodating & gave him half of each as he couldn't pick between the two. Nice atmosphere & friendly staff. We will be back!

Looked at many of the reviews that gave unfavourable comments and sure enough many were from years ago
In my mind that explains all as I have eaten in Sho 4 or 5 times in the past few months and no complaints about the food or the service. In fact the service has always been very welcoming and responsive. Don’t forget this restaurant is a fast paced noodle bar so critique it as such. In peak times its always extremely busy that in itself tells you a story. Being extremely popular creates it own problems so lm happy to give credit where it’s due and lm not about to complain occasionally having to wait for a table. I’m not Asian but l love Asian food eat out regularly with Asian friends and we all love this place. And seriously be fair and don’t complain about a special missing from the menu when you decide to dine here not long before closing time

We have been going to this place for over 8 years now.all the staff is extremely friendly particularly Chi! He is the best of all. The food is just made to perfection and personalised. Our experience has always been pleasant!

First time in this place. Was looking forward for wok cooked food. Was some what disappointed. Food was very liquid, plain and non of the wok flavours.
Service was good and really accommodating with specific requests.
