Ship Rock Picnic Ground reviews
28Beautiful spot to visit in the winter months, all the rocks are covered in moss and the water is flowing fast. Easy walk to see both the big rock and the waterfall.
Parks deserve a pat on the back for this one, the picnic area has seen great improvement over the last 10 years or so.
Great place to take the kids and explore the caves.glow worms still there after so many years. 20 or so:)
Facilities not the best with no tables or chairs and no water to wash rr hands at the toilet block. Falls worth seeing with only a short walk to them
I had some people who regularly camp at Kurth Kiln take me to the falls and I was pretty stressed about the walk but they convinced me I would be fine. I’m glad they did.
Even with my fibromyalgia and arthritis in my back the downhill slope was manageable. Any steeper though and I might have been in trouble on the way back.
While the falls themselves aren’t huge, they are pretty and surrounded by beautiful vegetation and lovely rock formations. Well worth the short walk. I got some great photos of the area and my new friends.
Great place. When the sun goes down the atmosphere is absolutely enchanting. Very easy access to the falls's viewing platform.
Waterfall viewing platform, toilets and the chance to go below the platform to get a better shot
You can walk, you can photograph, you can abseil.
Please take your rubbish with you. And if you spot someone else's rubbish - that that with you, too.
