Ship Rock Picnic Ground reviews
28Just a short walk down to see a waterfall, not big but not small.worth the walk down there.
A beautiful waterfall that's only a short, easy walk from the road and can be done with any shoes. The path itself to the viewing platform takes you past a massive rock formation that looks like a ship, hence the name. Near the small car park, there's also a single picnic table plus a toilet nearby. There are a few other "non-official" walking tracks in the surrounding area, but beware, they can be very slippery and most have long drops. The waterfall flows all year round, but it's best viewed in the winter months.
Great falls.short distance from car park lots to explore best to visit in afternoon as the light from the west shines through to the falls giving a much more even light and better photo opportunities

Don't drive past. Plenty of parking space. Enjoy the tranquillity and the view of water falling down over steep rocks. Massive sized bolder.
Very serene and scenic picnic spot.
Dangerous though as the rocks are really tempting to climb. That is really risky and any PPE would not protect one.
Toilets are not clean, good spot for bush riding.
Overall a great picnic spot, highly recommended.
Small car park, one toilet one huge rock smallish waterfall, steep downhill gravel path, wood fire pit BBQ, picnic table also available, ok for quick stretch of legs, wild flowers and with a keen eye you might see a small skink or two plus lots of bird life, taking your time you might get a photo or 2.
Great little spot close to the road (100m or less to parking), and then only a short walk down to the giant rocks and the falls. There is a toilet at the carpark, and also a fire pit picnic area.
Don't drive past. Plenty of parking space. Enjoy the tranquillity and the view of water falling down over steep rocks. Massive sized bolder.
Nice quiet spot, short walk to viewing platform, quite bushy so not great viewing. Small track off to the right can take you down lower, however not a proper made track. Rocks can be very slippery so not suitable for most. Water fall is small so don't expect a lot. Nice drive to get there
The creek flows out from under a rock and then tumbles down a waterfall. Worth a visit. Upstream the creek disappears and flows underground. A walk. A lookout. Some basic facilities.
A pleasant picnic area and great when combined with some of the other walks in the area. Dogs are allowed on leash which is great.
Beautiful hidden place with massive rocks with a water fall. Only 170m down a path from the picnic area. Toilet and fireplace available
A bit of a Maze getting around. Tracks need fixing as can be dangerous for the inexperienced. Dead trees in the waterfall make it unappealing! Toilets on site
Although it was 34 degrees in the suburbs it was cooler in the forest and the creek offers an opportunity to cool off.
Good little walk. Only 150metres to get there. Poorly signed though from road and also from car park. Not many car spots, but a nice little outing that won't take a long time to see everything.
Nice place to stop and explore the area with the family. Has Ship Rock or Ship Falls within 200m walk from the car park. There is a picnic table and an open fire to cook your food.
Great camping at Kurth Kiln & bush walks to Ship Rock Falls
All with in an hour drive from Melbourne (Gembrook)
Beautiful spot for that close to home weekend away
Nice rock scramble going anti-clockwise from the carpark. No playground or camping. Basic toilet. No water.
Viewing platform should be on the other side of the falls and closer so you can get a better view.
