Shepparton Art Museum reviews
41I remember going here during my vacation. The artworks are very stunning, and the cafe has good food.
The artwork was much better than I anticipated. Staff were brilliant. The balcony overlooking the lake is the perfect setting to relax. Some of the floors were shut to us.
Magnificent building along with beautiful art work. Amazing view from the terrace and the cafe has awesome food.
Worth a visit if you're wondering what Shepparton has to offer. Info centre is great, the art in this Museum certainly wasn't what I was expecting during my visit. Toilets were kept very clean and plenty of space. There is a balcony on the top floor you can go to which overlooks the lake, and some of the town. Though once you see it once, you probably won't go back for another visit.
Wish they had called it the Modern and Indigenous art museum. I went to see a range of Victorian art not just the woke bits. Used to be that Art galleries and museums represented all art.
Magnificent building -Elevators-toilets-Cafe-nice art & caramics-Top floor balcony has great views overlooking the lake.
Nice building, lovely setting and friendly staff.however not the place to take children atm! The world is full of captivating and diverse art. Why showcase satanic works that capture all that is wrong with society? Our children are exposed to so much darkness and many of them lack the guidance needed to navigate their way through it.
Shepparton Art Museum, you've had complaints from the community. Do you care about the impact these works can have on impressionable minds? The dark places that they can get lost in forever should they start to look deeper? Is it ignorance or intention?
Is getting attention more important than morality? Just so disappointing.
Some interesting exhibits. So called 'cultural' ones disappointing. Good view of the lake from the top floor. Entry is free.
Cafe available but rather pricey.
Dropped in for a coffee at the cafe. All the staff were friendly. Will go back to have a look through the museum.
I love SAM! I just can't believe how lucky the Shepparton community is to have this beautiful space. A gorgeous setting, combining the wonderful Kaiela gallery and workshop, the awesome gift shop, great cafe and rooftop bar! Not to mention the amazing gallery spaces.
I love the women exhibition here,we should not fear of age, we should not fear of getting old, we should fear of nothing.
Entrance/foyer is boring.
Visitor information centre part is great.
Exhibits are great, just need better signs and what is on next level and where the cafe is etc. A splash of colour would be great seeing its a art museum. I thought it was very sterile and no personality inside and out, except for visitor information part.
Fabulous place to visit. Has a good food and coffee restaurant. A nice open and quite feel about the place but I think needs some mood music in back ground as well.
What a surprise to see such great artworks in a regional gallery.
The entry was free, with plenty of parking beside it.
I just love visiting SAM. It's a most beautiful place to visit for the artwork and ceramics as well as to sit in the cafe overlooking the lake.
The Shepparton Art Museum was a lovely place to view amazing & talented art. I would love to come back here again! The Team are friendly & helpful people to engage with. I'm so glad I discovered this whilst on my two day trip!
Outstanding regional art gallery with strong indigenous art focus. Professional but all very friendly. Highly recommended.
Wow. This place is astonishing. This art museum is the equal of any gallery in any Australian capital city. Small but so intelligently curated. It left you wanting more and is a beautiful example of quality over quantity. Don't miss it.
They have a great collection of first nations artist's, blended with historical artists works. The new building sits beautifully in the landscape.
