The food is still delicious. We have been visiting Shavans for 20+ years. We have seem the restaurant grow into what it is today.
The service was very friendly and prompt
Reception/management staff need to be mindful where they have a disagreement.
The food was delicious as always. There is an extensive menu, and great options for everyone. Including vegetarians and vegans.
Shavans is no longer BYO.
It is family/children friendly
We will be back again.

Got the family together for my birthday dinner, we were looking forward to some fabulous food from shavans, entrees were excellent, but left after waiting over an hour and a half for mains, totally disappointed in the service, asked three times were our food was, finally had enough, shame because the entree was excellent………

I’ve been waiting an over an hour and a half for my online order, when they are 5 minutes away from our house. Every time I ring, I get no where…placed on hold, hung up on and then they don’t know where my order is. I’ve never dealt with such incompetence and poor service. It seems like it’s a complete joke of an operation, chaotic. The lack of customer care is really shocking. This is the last time I’m ever going to be using Shavans.

Food, service and speed of serving was amazing! This was the best lamb vindaloo I've ever had. Omg. 100% recommended and absolutely coming again. Thanks so much for a wonderful meal and evening.

My wife and I had the privilege of dining at Shivans on the 24th of June 2022 for my 78th birthday with our son and his wife and our twin grandsons of 2 years. We had a very delightful evening with great food and excellent service.

The restaurant is located on the 1st floor offering good view of the surrounding. It is spacious and has excellent ambience with tasteful decor and comfortable furniture. Very friendly staff offering service with a personal touch. It is well set up for all kinds of party gatherings offering option for buffet service with a well equipped bar counter. The menu offers a wide range of selection from Indian cuisine to give a taste of incredible India. The resturaunt also offers take away supported by efficient delivery service.

We went here on Saturday night and it was superb. The service was incredible and the food was amazing. I have to mention that the owners cousin/nephew is an absolute asset to your business. He was incredible. We were a table of 6 women and he made sure we were looked after the entire night. I haven’t had service like that for a long time and we all agreed we would be back very soon. We are regulars to your amazing takeaway but since covid have been hesitant to eat out. The Butter chicken is the best anywhere as is the coconut prawns. The samosas are to die for. A Truly wonderful restaurant ️

My boyfriend and I came to eat here after we went grocery shopping. We initially thought the Prices were abit High but wow it was worth it. This is the best indian food I have ever eaten and this is my new favourite restaurant. 10/10 recommend. The staff also provide lovely service.

The entrée that I had were lamb kebabs and there were spicy and flavoured very nicely with a lemon they are 10/10 without 9/10 still very nice. The main I had was chicken tikka and I would give it a 8/10 it was very nice it's just the spice wasn't as much as the kebabs which added a lot of nice flavour and with the lemon it is a 7/10 because it still tastes good. Its just that the Indian flavoured spice left the tikka. Another reason for why I give the place a 5/5 rating is because of the great service it was nice simple and easy.

This place is simply divine. Best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Truly spoilt here for quality food, quality service and a dinning floor that makes you feel upper class.

Deepti displayed amazing table service that we would have us come back to every single time and Akash was an amazing breath of fresh air with his friendly chatty demeanour that makes your experience here a personal one.

Really good, the service was service, and the foods were great. The ambience was lovely, and fun fact: it opened in 1997. (Look on the walls in the dining area) Not really expensive

Very disappointing special occasion dinner after looking forward to trying Shavan's for ages. We ordered a variety of meals, and nothing was satisfactory. Either extremely salty, sickly sweet, or cold & flavourless. Even the plain rice was average.
Not just my opinion, the whole family including a vegetarian and especially the kids were disappointed. I'm no chef but i make better curries at home using supermarket ingredients.

One of the finest Indian restaurants in Melbourne with a wide variety of vegetarian and non- vegetarian, delicacies to choose from. This restaurant is in very nice location with pleasing ambience, very clean and providing top notch customer service.

What a fantastic night and dinner we had thanks to Akash and the wonderful waitresses! I was exhausted and had a long day at work and Akash really made it all better from the minute we walked in! We chatted and laughed about everything! Discussed food and other subjects. The food was soo tasty too! It had so many flavours! We were so well received and served! Honestly I cannot thank Akash enough! Thank you again for everything! We need more people like you in this world! Bless you all and your family! We will be back soon!?

Rudest service I’ve experienced from a manager. No wonder there’s an empty restaurant on a Thursday night. Lovely staff but have to feel sorry for them as the manager is scolding them for doing the “wrong” thing. Hope he learns how to treat his customers.

What a ambience, had a great evening with delicious non-veg staters, won’t forget the bbq jumbo lamb ribs and the jumbo prawns really mouth watering. Excellent customer service very cooperative management.

Shavans Restaurant in Patterson Lakes is one of the finest Indian restaurant in outer south east Melbourne in Victoria with a wide variety of non- vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan delicacies to choose from. The restaurant has a very pleasing ambience with an excellent customer service.
My dining experience with Shavans has always been very pleasing and have always enjoyed the authentic Indian food taste that this restaurant offers.
