Shavans Indian Restaurant Patterson Lakes

Lamb Briyani and papadum is always fresh. Papadum sauce is better than other Indian restaurants too. Worth the price for the portions served.

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at! The authenticity of flavours and presentation, paired with the exceptional service makes this place one of the biggest hidden gems in Melbourne! We've travelled the world and had Indian food in all the right places, but Shavans trumps! If you like a good Butter Chicken (or as the expats in India call it, Boot Chook) then this Is your place.we frequent this place at least twice a month and it's never disappointing. With the linen tablecloths and polished silverware, the fine dining service, it makes it the perfect place for our date nights without breaking the budget.

I went for dinner to Shavans in Patterson lakes. The food was great. But after our dinner we asked for a finger bowl to wash our hands because we used our hands to eat chapati. Then the waitor said that they don't provide finger bowls and asked us to use the sink which was inside the toilet. It was discusting to go in side the toilet to wash the hands. I will not recommend anyone to go there.

We wanted to go for a quick meal on a Monday evening and yes they are open and the owner/manager is a lovely guy and as always he welcomed us with a big smile.

The most amazing food and staff at shavans, been going here since I was a young child and has always been and always will be my favourite Indian restaurant. Definitely recommend. Staff are the best

Overall a pass but given our previous experiences here bit disappointing this time. Noticed on arrival that one of our dinner plates still had small amount of sauce splatter on the edge which we pointed out and they replaced with an apology. The stuffed mushroom entree which we shared was delicious. We then shared the sharvans special chicken with a side of lemon rice and garlic naan. The chicken was dry and its hard to know for sure but it appears the chicken was already cooked and the sauce just poured over it before serving. We've had this dish here before and its been great but not this time. We also had the coconut pawns which were quite tasty. Another minor issue were my partner furst glass of Rose wasnt chilled enough athough my 500 ml Kingfisher lager in a tall glass was nice and cold. We were full and skipped desert.

Came all the way from Ballarat to have a good feed. Always phenomenal! Best Indian take away and service in Victoria. Booked for 9 people and they took fantastic care of us all night!

This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner in the heart of Patterson Lakes. Great for a date night or casual get together with friends. The employees are always friendly and helpful with suggestions for something new to try. Nice selection of wines and beverages to choose from as well. The food is consistently good - and they are mindful for if you want your dish mild or spicy. And so flavorful!

I would give this place a 4.5 it wasn’t perfect but definitely better Indian than a lot of places in Australia. And better than the current 4.1 rating. The onion bhajis were 5* though brilliant

Did not like the way food was cooked as we found that chicken / meat was half cooked and also butter chicken was full hot/spicy. We Spent around $350 but we did not get onions along with the food which usually other Indian restaurants does. Overall it was not a good experience and will not be wishing to recommend or visit again.

LOVE Shavans.
Have been coming here for years and the food is always amazing. The tables are always immaculate and I’ve never seen even a hint of a smudge on a wine glass. The staff are very attentive and Deepti in particular is always such a character and ensures you and your family or friends are having a great time.

No way as good as previous. Service was friendly, but food was not up to the fresh standard. Not really value for money as prices has increased greatly. Hope it was just a bad night.

New to the area and stopped by on a Wednesday night on a whim. We were there for a quick dinner. Quite a few tables were occupied so we knew it must be fairly good food!
Pretty good customer service here and all staff made effort.
Food came out pretty quickly. Bill was cheaper than I expected. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back for a more leisurely one soon!

Food is tasty specially kids enjoy the the food. Staff is friendly. Would like to come again.
