Food is great. Staff is friendly and professional. A little pricey, however, you will struggle to find a better local spot to eat.

Quick and convenient for close by business. Food is nice but on high price for lunches but they are nice. Would like to see quick lunch options with lower prices

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I regularly have coffee with my girlfriend's but never a meal. Today was an exception as they now open for dinner once a month on a Saturday night. The food was to die for and the service was above and beyond. Nick who is the head waiter, has 10 years plus experience in his field and together with all the wonderful staff is what Shanikas stands for.
The ambience is very relaxing and also very personal. Will now make it a once a month indulgence.

Just AMAZING! To think we have a restaurant of this calibre less than 5 mins from home is a great find! Our waiter was on the ball from the moment we walked in, we had booked a table for four and it was close to the fire which felt really cozy.

They already had a high chair for our three year old kudos for prepping early!

Iced water with iceblocks as we sat down another tick. Great menu really diverse and not overpriced. Good sized meals everyone enjoyed it. Icy cold Asahi was perfect!

Couldnt fault anything. Staff, service, meals, drinks, atmosphere all spot on! Impressed with the fact that the tables are spaced properly with plenty of room to move so that people are not sitting too close to each other. Definitely a 10/10 and

Had driven past a few times and read the reviews and decided to make a late booking. Very happy we did, excellent service and great food. Looks like they are going to open on Saturday nights soon. Will become a regular from now.

Came across this place and was awfully surprised.the owner is kind with welcoming waiters.the food was amazing, would definitely recommend.

Was taken to lunch at Shanika's again the other day after a long interval. As usual it had a bustling atmosphere at this time of the day but wasn't quite as full as before.

Eat here regularly.
Changed owners not long back which I was bit nervous about whether it would stay at a good quality.
I can honestly say it was the opposite and it improved.
Only reason for not a 5 star is sometimes the younger staff can be a tad slack.

I was taken to lunch at Shanika's again the other day after a long interval. As usual it had a bustling atmosphere at this time of the day but wasn't quite as full as before. This always makes me wonder if things have changed. They had in that one or two of the dishes had gone. One of them was their fabulous risotto dish made with blue cheese. I could have cried!

Nevertheless the two risotto dishes we ordered, one with chicken and one with prawns were delicious. The prawns were really large and sweet and juicy. I will go back for that.

The wines are palatable and I was delighted to find I could order champagne by the glass

We were too full for dessert.

All in all it was a pleasant experience which could have been improved by a more prompt acknowledgement of our presence on arrival, and a bit more attention from the waitron who had to be prompted to bring water and who certainly wasn't going to suggest dessert or coffee.

Lovely atmosphere. Had the Hot antipesto plate to share - great flavours. Bar guy even made me a South African Don Pedro drink - Very Nice! Great place, good, friendly service. Definitely going back.

Cudos to Nick our friendly waiter, superb lunch menu, great wine & coffee, highly recommended.

Tucked away in industral area I never knew it was there! Nice place, good service. Food was good.
