Shangri-La Inn reviews
53The quality of food was amazing, and the pricing were fairly reasonable. The staff is pleasant. The tables were also clean.
A 'no-frills' type place with a family atmosphere. To get the best value from this place take a family or a group of friends. The mains portions are large enough to feed several people and priced accordingly. Staff are exceptionally helpful and professional.
Had take away, The service staff were good hence the 1 star however the food was not very good at all. Had to throw away most of our meal as it didnt appear to be cooked and was slimey. Not good value for money.
Good service, good food. Must try their Ginger beef Hor Fun. Also, their sticky rice dumpling is one of the best ones around, unfortunately, they only make them once in a while and have to pre-order.
Sweet sour pork was burnt and horrblie
There black bean is good and there fried rice
If you know Marie you should order special dishes like pig tripes jiken soup, and there are couple others to try.they have been around for ages and food is always good.
I ordered beef rice noodles but not yummy. In fact it was a bit salty. Food was very normal. I saw a sign says lunch special but staff didn’t mention at all. Not good.
I used to be a regular customer here, but not anymore. The customer service is terrible! And they are very rude, not friendly people at all! No wonder they had absolutely no customers in sight. And one staff member was just sitting around, playing on their phone. Ordered vegetarian rice, they give me meat rice, then got all aggressive saying you didn't order that! Then they make you pay for, what you actually ordered in the first place! Didn't even try to fix their mess up of my order, and didn't even apologize! Very disappointing service. Don't waste your time or money here. It's terrible.
Consistently delicious. Portions are generous and never disappoint. The staff and service is excellent and our sometimes strange requests are catered to perfectly every time.
Food is authentic classic Malaysian cooking with fresh ingredients. Very reasonable prices. Love it!
Great food every time! Friendly staff and we will keep coming back again and again. Definitely a local gem.
Some of their Sunday specials are pretty authentic - their duck thigh noodle (ngap tui meen) is even better than the Tapah one! But I didn't find their hokkien mee nor assam laksa ori tho.haha.
The food is very good and so are the starf you ask and there is no proplem thay have no msg as well i recomed them to eny one with alrrges
Predictable menu although the Mandarin pork is excellent. Family owned and run so the service is very good. I found the meals to be quite sweet which may be normal.
My favourite local.authentic Malaysian cuisine run by the same family that has been an establishment since I was a kid.
Great tasting food,
Food presentation is average,
Restaurant decor is old,
But who cares the food is great.
Hewwo c: Maki-chan here~
2 dishes that I ordered today,
#1: Ginger Beef Hor Fun ($11.50 lunch special)
#2: Lemon Chicken Fried Rice ($11.50 lunch special)
The ginger beef hor fun was okay, as you can see from the picture it was missing the burnt flavour in the hor fun, but different people enjoy it differently and I myself always look forward to that burnt twist from the heated wok.
The lemon chicken was nicely done you can tell that when cutting into the chicken that even the insides were dripping with lemon sauce and not just the outsides. Definitely a good dish for small kids.
:)
Staff and owner were very friendly and every single dishes that we ordered were fantastic! The prawn noodle was superb
Good local Chinese, Malaysian restaurant. Had the 8 course Chinese New Year banquet. Favourite dishes of the meal was the prawns with noodles and the chicken.
The restaurant location had plenty of car parking spots available.
