Shaanxi-Style Restaurant reviews
45One of the oldest and the greatest Shaanxi restaurant in town. True Shaanxi style unchanged from the origin. 3 dishes cost only around $15 great for occasional as well as everyday meals.
The best damn Biang noodles I have had since I visited Xi'an. Delicious, authentic cooking at fair prices. Do yourself a favor and stuff yourself silly on this amazing amazing food!
Authentic and true to it's name, Chinese cuisine from a region that's famous for being sour and spicy.
Authentic like in Xi'An! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Box Hil! The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Everything in this place reminds me of Xi'an! Waiters are also great and efficient, happy and polite. Love this place and will continue to visit.
Massive fan of this place and can't believe how quick the food comes out! Everything is tasty, and big volume. If you're not Chinese it's a little intimidating to go in and navigate the menu and the customer service is very Chinese with minimal interaction but I promise you the food it worth the visit!
I'm a huge fan of xian cuisine. Unfortunately, the food quality at this restaurant is, way below average. Tried pork bun and noodles and nothing really impressed me.
Simple little restaurant with a really friendly staff and some authentic Shaanxi-style food. My partner and I were looking to escape Melbourne and revisit our trip to Xi'an for the evening, this restaurant definitely did the trick!
I went here with my chinese friend and other people. The food is OK but the service is very bad
Lamb noodle is good, but vegetable is surely not properly washed. I had 1 noodle soup but chef add extra sands for Me.
Tiny black spots, free of charge.
Should rename it "lamb sand noodle".
Great prices and amazing food. Expect a 5-10 minute wait for the food and there are no split bills.
We came here as a group of 5 people. We shared the dishes and had the Burger, noodle dishes and dumplings. We enjoyed our stay and the food. It is quite fatty, but still ok. And it is cheap.
Love the food, breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the other Chinese food you get, flavours and great and everything compliments each other, would recommend if you are looking for something different
Most authentic Shaanxi style food I've had in Australia, and I've tried lots! Friendly owner and very reasonable price. Highlights are the cumin beef sandwich and the cold steamed rice noodles!
Threw up and had the runs After having food in this restaurant. Sanitary condition is really poor and their attitude towards are also bad.it is not a place worth to go.
Tasteless. The chef doesnt want to improve or make it more like Shanxi cuisine while trying to find excuses to proof the customers were wrong.
Very decent Shaanxi style food. The pork burgers are juicy and come out in record time. I am told the food is quite authentic to Shaanxi food. Very reasonably priced.
The BiangBiang noodle at this place is AMAZING!
This is one of restaurant that we just have to go back to every week! My wife normally has a pretty small appetite but she transforms into a eating machine at this place and works through a whole bowl of BiangBiang Noodle all by herself.
Bian bian noodles was an interesting new try and I enjoyed it partly, and would have liked it more if it’s less oily and salty.
Nice food and fast service, if only chinese restaurants knew how important it is to be polite n nice to its patrons it would make everybody more relaxed.
Authentic and delicious (coming from a chinese palate, but like any other chinese restaurant don't expect service to be the best. Eg: a lady (seemed like the manager) came and slammed our biang biang noodles on the table without saying anything and just left lol. In general, this place is worth a try.
