Construction going on nearby but the restaurant is open. Friendly staff; food is alright; we had 油泼面 and 羊肉泡馍； both were served in big size ; taste was alright.

My recent visit on 3 Dec was a regrettable experience, thanks to the shockingly poor customer service delivered by our waitress. From the start, her rudeness was evident, interrupting our orders with a complete lack of courtesy.

To compound the frustration, when an overcharge on the bill was brought to her attention, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Instead, an air of indifference prevailed, leaving customers feeling unimportant and disrespected.

Such lack of accountability and professionalism is inexcusable. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a dining option that values its customers. I will centainly never visit again.

Best Biang Biang noodles in town, but get the cumin lamb too.

Very basic place but the biang noodles were very good. Tried the cumin lamb which was good but slightly under seasoned and a bit fatty, but tasty. Must try other dishes!

SUPERB! I ventured here upon reading a glowing review in Broadsheet Melbourne. I followed what was suggested and ordered a Sandwich and a bowl of Biang Biang Noodles. WOW! Both were amazing. The flavour of the Cumin Beef, with a good dose of green chilli and oil, sandwiched between two light and super crunchy discs of bread was absolutely spot on. Like no sandwich I’ve eaten before. Then, the Biang Biang Noodles, which a very lovely elderly couple of diners informed me was delicious, an excellent choice and to sprinkle the available black vinegar on top was superb. I’ve found my new regular spot in Box Hill. Everything about Shaanxi-Style was on point. Clean, friendly Staff, excellent food and certainly value for money.

Absolutely delicious and super underrated place! Doesn’t look anything special from the outside but the food is total knock-out … don’t judge a book by its cover!
We had the pigs ears and lamb iron pot noodle soup.totally traditional Chinese food that even satisfies the ‘western’ pallet.

Our go to restaurant in Box Hill. Authentic food from Shaanxi province, great value and great quality food. They're also very fair with portion sizes. From the outside the restaurant looks a bit average, but don't judge a book by its cover!

We went to Shaanxi Style Restaurant this afternoon because my husband wanted to have a bowl of LIANG PI (long cold flour or rice noodles. It used to be OK). The waitress showed us the bowl with the noodles. It looked not too bad. So my husband ordered one bowl. To our shock, it looked terrible and tasted awful. It was like over-cooked noodles without shapes of noodles at all, just small pieces. It must be the left over from yesterday because there was texture! We asked why it was not like the authentic Shaanxi LIANG PI, the waitress and the chef said it is their style. It was NOT Shaanxi cold long noodles at all! So awful! We wasted our money! Don't go there to eat LIANG PI!

The homemade biang biang noodles were super tasty and had a good texture. The portion sizes were huge and they were reasonably priced. We also tried the lamb skewers and it was grilled perfectly with the right about of spice and the meat was super tender. Would highly recommend this place for authentic Shanxi cuisine (northern China).

The food was fantastic, service maybe not so much the lady there probably late 40's or so, was the waiter she had that attitude of I've been working here too long to give a #### personally I don't care.

But otherwise the food was really good the biang biang noodles were so tasty. Give it a try

Prob one of the most authentic Chinese noodle shops in the city. The biang noodle was fulfilling and the portion was enough for 2 of us. We also enjoyed the ShanXi-styled sandwich as it was fully packed with the filling!

Very authentic food, felt heart warming to eat it! The noodles were an amazing texture, tasted great as well! Servings were generous! Lovely family owned restaurant with friendly service!

Very delicious and tasty different style of Chinese food. We always get the biang biang noodles with lamb skewers and pork dumplings. The noodles are our favorite as the noodles have a very good thick texture with tasty sauce. Highly recommend eating here to try this style that’s different to the typical Chinese food.

Awesome food for great prices. I go here all the time and have never been anything but super happy. You can totally stuff yourself for $20 per person, including drinks and maybe even leftovers, and it's all just delicious. I've introduced lots of friends to Shaanxi food here and they've all also fallen in love with it. Service is exactly what you want and I'm always really satisfied. Thanks!

Very tasty hand-pull noodle — Biang Biang noodle. This was my first try and honestly it was surprisingly good. As for the pricing, I think it’s a fair price.
