The tour was so much better and more interesting than we thought it would be! Tom our guide was very knowledgeable and the history of the place is incredible. Not to mention their wine is pretty damn good.

If you love history you have to take the underground tour, we loved it. Steph was a great tour guide. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful place for a visit. Great tour around the underground storage areas. Lovely and cool while it was 40 degrees outside. Nice wine tasting afterwards. They have a great cafe.

Cellar door provided a great tasting and knowledge of their products. Had a share platter for lunch. Really enjoyed.

Fantastic experience, we had a wonderful tasting on the Saturday then came back on the Sunday to tour the vaults and of course have another tasting, incredible experience and i am so glad we took the time to do the tour. Our guide was hilarious and so knowledgeable. I will certainly visit again if i'm in the area. We left with two cases of the Prosecco

We had a enjoyable trip to Seppelt. Did the wine tasting and also had a look around the public area looking at various displays. Enjoyed looking at the antique ads. Very nostalgic.

Allan was very friendly and knowledgeable. He walked us through the whole history of the property and how the world's first red sparkling wine was made right under our feet. Also a great tour for people without much understanding of wine making, labelling and tasting.

Hey! And free tastings!

Perfect Tour and Tasting!
Just did the Tour with Alan who is an Amazingly knowledgable guide, making it fun and learning about history and technique. We come from a wine Region in Germany and after tasting of 5 wines (Part of the Tour), we are fully convinced of sparkling Red wine (shiraz).
Also.cheese plate is highly recommended!

Horrendous customer service at cellar door - we stood there for 15 minutes and were not only ignored but looked through like we were glass by the guy behind the counter, so we walked out. They weren’t at all busy and had plenty of staff on!

Highly recommended doing the cellar tour (on the hour). Our guide Alan was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Seppelt and the process of making sparkling wine in the region. The underground cellars are some of the biggest in the southern hemisphere but sadly in the days of big wine, sit unused along with the aboveground tanks and storage. The sparkling Shiraz is particularly good.

The most amazing winery I've ever visited. The tour is mid blowing and the wines are some of Australia's best! It's a must do!
Revisisted recently and they have launched the 2018 Luxury collection - the 2016 Pinot Meunier is simply amazing and the 2018 Drumborg Riesling is going to wine awards! All available for tastings now at Cellar Door

Had a wonderful day at the Seppelts Great Western Cup 28/1/18 The staff were so friendly & welcoming. The long underground lunch in the cellars was a fantastic experience. A great effort on their part to escape the heat. Food & wine wonderful. Thanks to all concerned & also to Grampians View Cabins in Halls Gap for arranging for our group

Dine deep Saturday 25th Nov 17, I was so looking forward to this event. BUT. So disappointed the food was cold, the wine was just awful, no service, the young staff didn't even smile, we sat down & was asked to move down twice, so Couldn't talk with my friends. So much for a birthday dinner with friends.
No wouldn't recommend the place for the food or wine. Alan was lovely & the table looked amazing. But that's it.

Fabulous light hearted tour of this historic wine maker by a fellow named Dan. The 100+ year old underground tunnels are amazing to see including a room where dignitaries would dine and Australian Prime Ministers each had a private stash of alcohol. The tour finished with tastings of some wonderful wines. Beautiful gardens. Highly recommended.

One of the most unique sites that sit on approx 3km of underground drives from the mining days, this is a must see for visitors.

Stopped off here on our way to the Grampians and so glad we did! Alan was very knowledgable and friendly and we purchased 6 bottles of wine for a great price.
Would definitely recommend

We brought our teenage kids here to see the underground wine cellars (they call them "drives" here from the gold mining days) and they loved the whole experience and said our tour guide Dan was great! Also on the tour were a young couple of "Glampers" who had spent the night in a luxury tent on the grounds by the old homestead and said they had really enjoyed it. We had an excellent tasting afterwards and took home 3 dozen bottles for the home cellar (glorified wine rack)!

Thanks Dan!

Spent the weekend at the old homestead. We arrived just on cellar door closing or rather a tad after, but the delightful Dan let us in so we could purchase some chilled bottles of salinger to help our parched palets after a 2+ hr drive from melbourne. I spent the night in Dame Melbas room overlooking the autumnal vines, ITS WAS FAB. Heather was buzzing about in the morning full of smiles and helpful advice on all things.we walked the grampians all day and returned back for a quic wine tasting with Heather, she was very friendly and full of interesting pointers. Alan took us thru the cellars next morning.it was an amazing discovery of down below.what a charming, insightful chap. I highly recommend you vist, stay and taste the Seppelts Vineyard and homestead. We Loved IT ALL. Thank-you to the team - you made our weekend.
