I am a former Sephora Canada cast member who used to train cast members on our client service practices. I don’t know if it’s because Sephora is fairly new in Australia, or if client service isn’t a focus but please invest in training your cast members better! It will empower your teams so much and provide a waaaay better client experience! People will always remember how they felt more than anything! Still love y’all! But get it together! Xo

The customer service is pathetic. So what happened, I wanted some help with the products and the girl with blonde hair ignored me thrice and I was disappointed. No wonder why you guys have got such bad reviews here.

There is a reason why the overall rating is so low. Never seen the kind of terrible and downright rude attitude from any other Sephora store. A sales girl who had silver blonde hair (didn’t get her name) was extremely rude to the customers on multiple occasions to the point that we had to express our concerns directly to her and her manager. She was clearly not educated enough nor fit for her role that needs good customer service experience. Where do they find these kind of people and why do us customers have to tolerate such rude and bad behavior? Never again! I’m happy with my trustworthy Melbourne Central store.

Dear Sephora northland manager, this is for your attention, I was treated so badly by one of your customer service girls today at around 4.45pm. Neither she had good customer service skills nor politeness towards to customers. She was so racist and judgemental. No wonder your ratings are so low. As a manager you should have a better quality monitoring system in order to enhance your business and terminate employees who aren’t good with customers. Simultaneously don’t ever recruit people with no great customer service skills. What frustrate me most is these girls have one thing to do and they even failed to do that one thing right which is a simple smile and give some advice about products. Please check with staff who worked today as I couldn’t get her name. I will continue to come to Northland and I will get her name next time.

Very poor customer service. You walk around this store looking for help and not one employee on the floor says hi or asks if you need help.
Was served by Tegan at the cashier who was incredibly rude and needs to learn some manners.

I was served twice by a blonde lady wearing a white T-shirt (once for lipstick and a week after for foundation) who was very rude and wasn't interested in helping. At the self makeup counter I wasn't sure how to use the micellar pump bottle, I was trying to figure out the bottle were she just stared at me and just shouted "you are going to break it" and after using the makeup brush I didn't know where to keep it so she just grabbed it from my hand while she was talking to another customer, very very rude. I went to the manager asking if she could help because her staff was rude, I didn't mention who it was but she pointed to the blonde lady asking if it was her. Manager apologized and assisted immediately.
But why should I go to Sephora when I was served better at Mecca Maxima or purchase online.
Please remember word of mouth is the strongest method of advertisement plus positive customer service is everything in retail.

I was served by an employee named Ana who clearly did not want to help me. I had accidentally purchased two of the same items. I had done the right thing by contacting HQ and asked if I could please exchange this item in store to which they said they could honour this for me. I showed this to the employee who said they usually don’t do this but “could do it this one time. ” despite me having an email which clearly stated it was fine which the employee didn’t even bother to read. I ended up spending more money during the exchange as I purchased more items which once again seemed like such a hassle for her to put through. Won’t be coming here again, would rather travel to another store where I feel welcomed. Never had this issue in the Melbourne central store.

The lady with the dyed blonde hair is incredibly rude and condescending. Clearly didn't want to help at all, maybe don't work there then.

The staff are very rude and mean, give you very mean looks and talk very rudely some of them really should get fired very bad experience Mecca maxima has amazing staff.

Being followed around by security while I had my baby on my hip didn't feel very welcoming, they were following just about every customer which is ridiculous. The sales staff are wonderful though!

I came past Saturday, Thank you so much guys the staff were helpful easy to talk too, I couldn't ask for more.
