82 I bought a spray from Kmart and got accused of stealing it at Sephora which I bought from Kmart so no I didn’t steal it the man was very rude to me and didn’t even apologise
Never going back
WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This happened few months ago in late September. I went to buy a foundation and wanted someone to assist me to pick a color to match my face but nobody seemed to care. I saw a lady doing makeup for someone stood there for ages and tried to communicate with her but she ignored me to my face. Then I saw another assistant, not sure which pronounce to use but he refused to assist me as well said he got something else to do and pointed me to the same assistant who ignored me at first. This time she looked at me rudely said just stand somewhere and she will come to me, but after standing there for a long time she never came. She saw me standing waiting for her but went on to do other tasks ignoring me. HORRIBLE! I went to mecca cosmetics afterwards to buy a foundation and surprisingly enough the staff is much kinder and nicer and helped me get what I want. Maybe learn to respect your customers next time. I feel like in sephora they always look down at customers if you are not dressed or look in a certain way. PLEASE give your staff proper training and teach them to respect the customers as I will never return to this store again
Big thanks to Grace! Helped my friend and I massively yesterday, picked out the right shades and gave the best recommendations.
I had the most fantastic experience with Sasha, Beauty Advisor. She was incredibly attentive, dropping everything to assist us. Sasha expertly recommended the best skincare products and even crafted a complete skincare routine. Her extensive knowledge of the products was evident, and she listened carefully to everything we said. What stood out the most was that she never tried to push any products we weren’t interested in. Sasha’s exceptional service made our shopping trip truly enjoyable and informative.
I need to leave a negative review due to my recent encounter with Sephora’s customer service. During my visit, the retail assistants were neither friendly nor helpful.
I had a list of items I wanted to purchase and sought assistance, but when some of the items were unavailable or out of stock, instead of suggesting alternatives, they simply walked away without giving me the opportunity to inquire about similar products.
This frustrating pattern repeated itself when I approached another retail assistant, who also displayed impatience in addressing my queries.
Were they too busy? No, most of them were engaged in casual conversations with their colleagues when I approached them politely for assistance with my purchases. It appeared as if their primary focus was socializing with each other rather than assisting customers.
Krystal was so kind and patient with me at the check out counter. I had a whole heap of Sephora membership points expiring soon and she helped me to claim all of the little freebies that I could. The staff on the floor were also more than happy to help me with finding my foundation shades:)
I highly recommended Christy from Dior beauty, she is really passionate and patient in assisting me get new lipsticks and new blushes. Had a Wonderful shopping day ~
The staff are nice but not very helpful. There is also not much variety of lipstick shades.
They wouldn’t accept my employee discount. I work in another Victorian sephora and they were the only ones that were stuck up and rude and didn’t accept it? Like what?
I’m writing this review for the specific security guard- tall African man, he is the sweetest security guard and does his job exceptionally. He stops EVERYONE for their bags and does not single out an individual person. He asks with such kindness and manners, while also trying to keep light conversations when customers are awkwardly attempting to open their bags (backpacks or purses). All my encounters with him has made me smile.
The Sephora workers on the other hand- very rude, always just chattering amongst themselves and will help you for no longer than 5 secs. They act as if I’m bothering them when it’s their job to help customers.
The shop is fine however, my issue is with the security guards outside the store. My friend and I nearly got our cosmetics confiscated (which we both paid for, and the stuff we had weren’t even from sephora) because we were accused of stealing. I get that shoplifiting is a big thing around this area especially with teenagers. My friend and I are both two teenage girls, and we were accompanying two of our other friends while they shopped. Now, at that time, my friend and I were both wearing makeup so it obviously made sense that we would have cosmetics in our purses to touch up our makeup. While exiting the store, we got stopped by two security guards who wanted to see our bags, and my friend and I didn’t refuse to show our bags. However, once they discovered that we were carrying makeup, the guards confiscated it and kept asking for a receipt even though 1.the makeup wasn’t even available from Sephora and 2.we didn’t have the receipts obviously because they were makeup we bought from ages ago. We tried to explain that to the security guards (because honestly, who carries receipts from stuff they’ve bought months ago) but they would NOT listen. They kept pestering us for reciepts even though the makeup we were carrying wasn’t something that Sephora sold. Thank goodness the workers were nice. I’ve had a decent experience with Sephora however, I do advise better training for the security guards as they were unreasonable and disrespectful.
I attended this store today to seek some cosmetic advice and also purchase a gift. Unfortunately, despite trying to get the attention of several employees and doing a few laps around the store, I was ignored. Meanwhile, I could see I was being scoped out by security at either end of the store (how is it that direct eye contact can be made with security at either end of the store but with none of the employees in the store? !) EXTREMELY uncomfortable experience! I just had to leave.
It's unfortunate that reading some of the negative reviews below, I can strongly relate to being ignored. The staff I tried to approach literally walked straight past me or turned their backs on me to talk with a co-worker. The good staff were, I assume, either occupied or nowhere to be found (I hate writing a negative review because I'm sure there are some good employees that work there).
Unfortunately, based off my experience, you will likely get more help from an assistant in the cosmetic section at your local pharmacy.
Very rude staff. That’s why I always shop at MECCA. This girl from benefit (9.11.22) was of no use and not really helping out as because I was Asian but was only attending to a Local customer. I would never shop beauty products from Sephora again. MECCA is the best especially with customer service
Had the best makeup shopping experience with George. He was so knowledgeable and helped me found a great concealer!
Don't why they have bad reviews. My experience was awesome. The staff was very friendly and nice.
I’ve been meaning to write this review for months BUT if you’re ever struggling with makeup or need advice on anything - please go in and see George. I do not know if they are a manager but I went in having a full blown anxiety attack and had ruined my makeup for a special night and they managed to calm me down, give me a makeover and recommended some stellar products that have been fantastic. I cannot even put into words how amazing George is and I am so thankful for them as they saved a night that was headed down a drastic path.
There is no better level of service, knowledge or attention that I have come across anywhere. Thank you so much George!
Very poor. Know exactly what you need, where it is in the store. Arrive at 6: 50. Turned away at the door because there’s others in the store still. No COVID restrictions are still in place so ️ They don’t want to pay their staff beyond 7 to pack down and close.
I’ll order online. From another business.
No birthday discount what so ever! They never give any samples either which is supposed to be a normal practice. They instead have the audacity to ask if I need a bag? Like do I waste samples on you or not?
Really bad experience, I’m trying to find someone to help me, but after 20 mins, there is no one looks after me, won’t come to this store again.
After asking 6 customer service staff for help (including the store manager) noone was able to advise about the delivery status of one of their cult products that has been 8 months out of stock to date. Staff are uncaring, and unconcerned. Unbelievably toxic, upsetting shopping experience.
