Selby Acoustics - Hallam

Went to the store today.
The guy was genuinely not interested in helping the only thing he recommended was the package for 17k.
It's like he wants me to spend 17k but he does not want to spend more than 2 minutes with me in explaining everything what goes in the package or what is needed for my requirements or to show me any devices in the package and he asked me to come on Saturday again. Time was 445 pm
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place

Excellent customer service, very good price and timely dispatch of online order. Ordered Bluesound speakers online and they kindly phoned me to inform me it would take a few days to get the stock in. Web site has said it could take 1-2 weeks so I did not expect a personal call. Orders were packed well in double cartons.

I initially was a bit hesitant buying from a big company such as Selby due to some bad experiences of companies trying to sell you stuff you don't need. Selby Hallam were amazing to deal with. I received great advice as to what I wanted and after purchasing the Polk S60 speakers I honestly couldn't be happier. Thanks team.

Ordered a turntable and speaker through Selby Acoustics recently. Spoke to a staff member on the phone prior to placing the order. He was informative and technically knowledgeable. We placed the order which was delivered to Sydney in a few days by Australia Post. The prices were very competitive and we are happy with our purchases.

This store has nearly everything that an audiophile would want, add this to great customer service and you have a great shopping experience.

I bought a Sonos soundbar from their online store, it was substantially cheaper than anywhere else. Great customer service and speedy delivery. I would recommend Selby over larger stores

Went to purchase a AV receiver 3 staff members standing around not one came to assist us, even though a staff member showed us where they were and was near us. We waited about 10 minutes then walked out I called the store it took them a considerable amount of time to answer told them how bad their customer service is and will never shop there again.

Ordered a Yamaha receiver. They packed it in a plain box when it needs to be carried one way up always. Yamaha box says THIS WAY UP. Puts stress on power supply when carries incorrectly. Now it has fault. Stupid.

Rang up to buy a $500 projector screen which was in stock in their warehouse, asked if i could pick it up Saturday as they are open.was advised no as its in the warehouse (next door to shop) and not the shop.asked if i ordered online now (friday 2pm) could they put it in the shop to pickup, again flatly and rudely advised by your staff, nope. Asked if they want the sale and to help out a bit and again your staff said nope and hung up on me.guess ill buy my stuff elsewhere then

The store is amazing. The staff is super efficient (managed my stress after have travelled 90 min to arrive there). The Polk PSW111 is divine and cheap. I bought it to replace a M&K V1250-THX and it’s musicality playing with my Sonus Faber is absurd. Controlled musical mid-bass and a punch unexpected from a subwoofer so small. I couldn’t be happier. No regrets at all for having replaced my M&K. I will eventually try a second Psw111 in my setup. Curious too see it.

After the arrival of my new somos amp I could not be happier with the system that I have in the salon and you have all recommended.
Now when I bust out on my dancing extravaganza I have nothing stopping me.
My team can laugh at me my children that are now teen agers can be totally embarrassed and my wife just joins in.

Yo this place is sick.
I wish they sold Cerwin vega speakers coz the vegas are pumpin especially in the 90's!
Instead my wife purchased a bundle of Klipsch RF7-III.they are bright but got a very expensive power amp from selby of a yamaha power amp + the A3080, and it worked a charm. Ill send photos later, but i cant be bothered sending them (i dont like to show off)!

Now i seek a universal player, of the reavon UBR-X100, but the gentleman at selby could not lower the price, but include a 4k cable (which i already have)

the reavon should be $900, and that is a fair price.if the price is lower, ill buy the reavon ubr-x100

Awesome range. Great team and always super helpful even with a noob. I buy my rotating TV mounts from here that are simply awesome, super heavy duty and stupidly cheap. Love this store.

I bought a pair of the wonderful Vincent power amplifiers over the phone at 2: 30 p.m. On Tuesday I received them in Ballarat at 12 noon on Wednesday amazing service amazing amplifiers friendly staff couldn't rate them hire and I used to own and run a high end audio shop so good on them

Well ordered a piece of equipment on the 6th of April. It’s now the 23rd of April an my parcel has visited Brisbane twice and the actual destination was west Melbourne. Sadly the shipping company chosen by you guys isn’t doing you any favours. A recommendation to all that intend on ordering from these guys pick it up from the shop as the shipping company have been completely useless to get item delivered. Everytime it is returned to north Melbourne depot I have to call to request it be delivered an then next thing I know it’s in Brisbane depot. Called Selby an suggested changing couriers going forward got some guy that didn’t seem to care. Wish I’d ordered this from elsewhere now.
