Scully's Oyster Bar and Grill reviews
58Had a cold sea food platter but i can't eat oysters so had hot calamari as a replacement OMG it was amazing.very good mix of seafood on our platter.so close to the ferry at Queenscliff and the staff were so friendly. Had a very happy husband
Fantastic service
Got the steak and it was perfictly cooked cant wait to bring the whole family here
Cant go wrong with the butter chicken, spanish paella and the oysters
Came here for lunch and was served awesome and fresh seafood. Jay our server was pleasant and very helpful. Would come here here again.
Closes at 8pm however walk in at 4.30 only to be advised kitchen is closing and have 3 minutes to choose meal
Owner responded that was only closing for 1 hour, pity he did not have the ability to explain this when we were there!
My family enjoyed sitting outside with a great view of the harbour. My big breakfast was enjoyable. Service was satisfactory. Well priced.
We ordered pasta, calamari and chicken nuggets. Food was terrible. Calamari perhaps the worst I’ve ever had. Chips seemed to have been cooked in months old oil. Nothing was edible than the rocket salad
Thought would go out for a lovely Australia Day lunch with my wife for some seafood.
We ordered the seafood platter hot for two, it come out lukewarm halfway through the meal. It was cold, couldn’t eat the rest. The cone prawns were obviously frozen the Salt-N-Pepa calamari was frozen The oysters were overcooked and milky obviously had been spawning. The only thing that was fresh was the muscles and the fish. I must say, though the muscles were quite tasty in the garlic broth, but apart from that very average for $135
Spoke to the waitress in regards to our meal and all she could do was apologise, pretty disappointing, considering we travelled two hours to eat there. If it was me, I would recommend elsewhere for seafood.
I went there for lunch with my husband and 2 boys. We sat right opposite to the bar counter, we ordered and pay for our orders using their QR CODE and also went up to counter to confirm orders with the female staff and came back to our table to wait for our foods to come out. We waited for nearly 2HR and our foods still didn’t come out.other people have came, ate their lunch and left. During these times non of their staffs have noticed nor approach us to see what was happening. I went up to the counter to ask what was happening and found out that their order machine has not printed our order and that when they started to preparing our order. I ordered a mushroom risotto, the rice was a little under cooked, it very salty and not creamy. My boys ordered a fish and Wagu beef burgers and it was bland and dry. We were very disappointed, We did not enjoy ours foods at all.
Most of all they did not apologise for any inconvenience what so ever, we would 0-1 for foods and service
Excited to try breakfast here this morning in a perfect location next to the beautiful Queenscliff Harbour.
Worst customer service. Don’t know how to take the order and won’t even bother repeating the order and they just ask you to pay. When you question them they blame that we said the order wrong which sounds very silly. Irony is that being an Indian we faced racism from indian staff. They were not even ready to share their names so we could talk to their owner. The worst experience.
Thanks Jay and team Scully, lovely cocktails and beautiful seafood on a sunny autumn day. Perfect, well played. Will definitely be back
Food was good, service was pretty terrible, restaurant was an absolute mess, glasses literally everywhere. They need to get more staff! If you are feeling particularly patient however the food was great. We had a big bowl of mussels, some cold prawns and seared scallops, all excellent
I don’t often give reviews However… My experience wasn’t a good one. Terrible service If you could even call it that (and it wasn’t busy). If you are not a fan of frozen seafood then please steer clear from the fish and chips and the chowder. The oysters started off okay until a few were highly questionable and sent back to the kitchen. Disappointed is an understatement. If you do opt to try this restaurant for yourself, then perhaps try something else off the menu.
Amazing seafood lunch, mussels, pasta, salad, everything was great.prices are reasonable, service was good and view was lovely.highly recommend, unsure why the current low total combined rating, place was lovely.will visit again!
We had the scallop and San choy bao crab, they were ok.
Followed by the hot seafood platter, the oysters arrived in there shells displayed nicely, they were too hot to touch, Needless to say the oysters were dry and overcooked and the dressing was too overpowering for the oysters.
Bugs were also overcooked with tasteless fish.
Disappointing.
This place is an absolute gem. It is a delightful spot by the Queenscliff Marina and the food is really excellent.
By far the best 'bowl of mussels' I've ever tasted. The chefs recipe is unreal. Go out of our way to come here everytime we are in Victoria.
Party of 6 for lunch and all happy with quality of food and fish. Steak Sandwich was good, tender steak. The Samosas were well received and will have then next time I visit as was the Calamari. Enjoyable setting over looking the Queenscliff Marina. Kudos to the young waiter who worked tirelessly on his own looking after patrons inside the bistro and outside on the veranda. He never stopped providing friendly efficient service. Will be back and try other things.
Male staff member working today needs to practice some people skills and realise if he is rude to potential customers that are willing to spend money at his work place in order to keep him employed he may find himself without a job before to long. If the food is as bad as his customer service I wouldn't want to eat there anyway but decided to take my money elsewhere after his rude and arrogant attitude he gave us today turned me off before ordering anything as it was. Maybe go find a job that doesn't involve needing any people skills champ.
Popped in for lunch on a Monday - very busy with customers and only 1 front of house team member, who did his best to service everyone. Food was great - we ordered two entrees each - which were quite substantial! There was a lot of food and beverage options available. Food served was of high quality! Would highly recommend Scully's.
