This place is AWFUL. Waited 50 MINUTES for 2 simple chicken parmesans!

At the half hour mark we asked about when they would be ready and was told it would just be five minutes more. It's Obvious the lady who told us this just wanted to shut us up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they only started making our meals once we asked about them.

The chicken parmesans where bland and looked messy as well.

25 minute wait for 6 take away chicken nuggets. Absolute waste of my time.my lunch bought elsewhere was completely cold.
Avoid if you want a quick takeaway and don't expect them to tell you when ordering you will wait almost half an hour. They'll just let you stand there.
No apology given when I complained.

First time ever coming here and everything was incredible. The customer service was excellent from Matt. He was friendly and seemed very easy going which made my experience alot easier as i suffer from social anxiety.
Now the food.the food was amazing and perfectly flavoured. The prices are really good for the serve you get. We will certainly be coming back to Schnitz Waurn Ponds. Thank you for making this a great experience.

My family and I went to Schnitz for lunch. The food and service were great. I have only given the atmosphere 4 stars because it was very noisy. The rest was without fault and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Pleasantly surprised! We ordered the chicken parmigiana and chips $15.90 which is very reasonable as now days they are around $30 everywhere else. Table service was good and we didn’t have to wait too long considering how busy it was. The food was great no complaints. In fact we were both impressed. It a shopping centre place so it could have been very average. Only down side to the experience was the long queue at the tills to order. However you can order online.

Very dirty tables, with zero attempt to clean. Did I mention very very dirty! Food was a huge disappointment. Both meals were over cooked. My schnitzel was actually burnt black on the edge. Sweet potato fries were cooked in very old and dirty oil. Really nothing nice about this experience.

Very disappointed.

The order took 43min via the QR code on the table. During that time we saw multiple customers order waiting in line and get their food 20 mins before us. It was a small order- burger, chips and two kids pack. I had to enquire twice after 30mins.

Finally when the order arrived, there was no cutlery, napkins, I had to go and get them.

Additionally I had to ask for the drink twice, as there were two different drinks.

Kitchen staff appeared to have a sense of urgency, however floor staff were not so energetic.

The store was busy, being a public holiday, however priority should be given to app and table QR code orders, not having them last.

I can see this store is one of the better ones when quiet, but falls apart very quickly when busy. There were 7 staff that I can recall.

Bonus point for fresh hot food.

Most of the staff are really lovely and helpful - they try to sort things out even when it's out of their control. Sometimes the restaurant can get a bit messy, like plates and other things left on tables - but this is usually when it's extremely busy and there aren't as many staff on, so I understand. Food is always lovely, I think it's worth the wait. It's cooked while you're there - wouldn't you prefer fresh lunch instead of frozen burger patties!? Like honestly, (this is for all restaurants tbh) if you're going to show up at a busy time of course you're going to have to wait a while for your food, it's common sense people, stop bagging on staff just cause you're impatient.

Why can't this restaurant get on top of its wait times? Last year my friend and I missed our movie due to this place and had to go home (we ordered at least 40 minutes before film, and order took over 1 hr and we missed the actual start of the movie).

Today, I ordered a plain and simple wrap in a small meal for lunch, was told it would be a 20 minute wait to which I agreed. That time blew out to 45 minutes! No where to sit while waiting on takeout orders, I'm very heavily pregnant (and obvious) I couldn't be more fuming right now.
People who ordered after me got their orders first. After 40 minutes I asked if my order was lost.
It was my first time giving them ago again since the missed movie debacle and this happens! I chose them as it's made fresh and when pregnant you aren't meant to have the stuff in all the other shops that's been sitting in warmers.

Geelong city location never seems to have this problem.

If I had of been told a realistic waiting time in the first place I never would have ordered.

Really not good enough guys. So mad at the wasted time.

Waited 25min for my parmigiana & chips after seeing people that came after me get there meals I asked the staff about my meal & was told it's coming.
When I got it the chips were nice & hot but the parmigiana was cold and I mean COLD, it must've been sitting around n they just put hot chips on the plate.

They did offer me a refund when I complained.

First time getting take away I asked if I could get roast vegetables with my parma. My answer was “a vegetarian parma? ”. After several attempts I still didn’t get an answer. While my question wasn’t clear the staff looked at me as if I should know they don’t serve vegetables with a gob smacked face. Shop was untidy with dishes left on tables. Wait time was long. Still waiting…

If I could give 6 stars I would! Andre was brilliant today! Nice to see great customer service hasn’t completely gone away. Thanks again Andre! The food was good to! Would definitely recommend the American dream wrap.

Visited today, staff were super friendly, me and the couple on the table next to us had to wipe our own tables as they were covered in food from the people before us.
Received our meals after only a short wait but low behold, there was a live wasp inside my wrap (sounds crazy I know). The staff were super apologetic about it and gave me a replacement but I was put off after that. A little disappointed that it wasn’t picked up on before being served.

The other evening my colleagues and I waltzed into Schnitz expecting a delectable experience fit for kings. I had been building it up to them for weeks and the mood was electric, anticipation was thick in the air. So imagine my disappointment when it took 40 minutes for our takeaway food to be ready. There were no more than a score of customers present at this once fine establishment so I was confused at why it took so long, staff were plentiful and all their equipment was working at full tilt. As they handed out my meal (which by the way was one burger and small chips) I was as courteous as one could possibly be, after all I was willing to let the wait slide at the thought of a hot meal. Just that’s not what I found, a soggy burger and salt less chips were all that greeted me as I peered into my crumpled bag. Suffice to say Schnitz has lost a loyal customer today.

My family ordered food for lunch and was allocated a table alongside many people. As I was not in the mood of eating their food, I ordered a takeaway Asian food nearby. When I came back, the table where my family was sitting did not have social distancing in place so I decided to eat outside in the alfresco area. Right in the middle of eating my food, I was told by a staff member to go somewhere else to eat as it is a customer only area. My family is there inside so technically I am a customer and why are you kicking me out, I said to the staff member. I said it is too crowded inside. The staff member insisted that I have to leave. This is an example of a bad customer service. I was doing the right thing of eating in the alfresco area to observe social distancing as we are in the middle of a pandemic. The staff member was rude and showing very bad customer service. We will never ever eat there again.

Tried to order food online and via multiple delivery apps on my phone and computer only to be told the same thing… the restaurant is closed for delivery until tomorrow despite the staff I talked to on the phone advising me otherwise. Extremely disappointed that I cannot order the food I want for when I want and told to “be patient” on the phone when trying to determine why this is not working.
