Savera Indian and Nepalese Restaurant reviews
54 Food was amazing. Loved the lamb korma and pistachio kulfi. Very tasty. Staff good.
Only thing is they forgot part of our order. They did however fix this straight away when asked so otherwise great night.
Hands down the best Indian resturant within 20 mins of Montrose. Savera is in my top 3 indian resturants in Melbourne.
Goat curry was very tasty with lots of fresh herbs. Garlic naan was covered with deligious garlic paste and the bread was light and fluffy.
Can't wait to try more items from the menu!
My Lord. How can I describe this experience? It was sensual. Without a doubt the best Indian and Nepalese food I have ever had. It had love and so much of it. The bar has been set high. Real high. I don't believe I'll have to go to any other Indian or Nepalese restaurant ever again. Tgis place is simply the best. I am looking forward to working my way through this menu. Thank you so much to the chef and all the staff at Savera.
After having ordered from Savera multiple times I can confidently say they make delicious curries, rice, naan and more.
Every item I have ordered has been of great quality and generously sized with fair prices.
They feature a great variety of dishes, all sorts of meat, seafood and some amazing vegetarian choices too.
Probably the best Nepalese food I’ve had in Melbourne. The quality, price and quantity was so worth it! Would high recommend and will definitely come back.
Best all round experience I’ve had with a restaurant in a while. My partner is anaphylactic to nuts and they went above and beyond to assure us they could provide us with a nut free meal. The $55 value meal is fantastic value and we were all able to enjoy. The service is outstanding, lovely lovely people. We will be back. Thank you so much.
Ridiculously good Indian food, we made a chance stop off here and were so insanely happy we did, couldn’t recommend more, service was lovely and food was fresh and delicious!
The place is my absolute favourite restaurant for Indian food, Tanka and his family also bought a new Hyundai from myself so it goes to show supporting local business works a treat! Keep up the good work Tanka and thank you for the great food you bring to Lilydale.
Love this Indian food, very close to the stuff I ate in India. Great service as well. I'd give it 5 stars but takeaway just uses too much plastic
Some of the best Indian food i have ever had and reasonably priced as well. We get take out here quite often.
I like to consider that I really know (and love?) my Nepalese/Indian cuisine. Savera is an absolute gem and the staff are always warm and very friendly. It's only a modest sized restaurant, so potentially it's a good idea to book if you can.
The restaurant is very clean and tidy and most importantly the food is sensational. The chef takes great pride in his food and routinely seeks feedback from his customers. We have dined there many times now and haven't yet had a meal that was anything less than excellent.
Ask if the chef is doing 'Pepper Chicken' - If you are in luck (it's off menu), you are in for a mad delight. It is quite unique and just awesome. (It's a peppery influenced butter chicken dish)
We drive about 20 km to dine at Savera, so that might be all the recommendation it needs.
(It seems post CoVid there are a lot of really selfish people who make bookings and just 'no-show' everywhere - It was sad that on my last visit there the restaurant was booked out but 50% didn't show up. I'll leave that there.)
P. S. Try also Base Camp as an alternative if you are in Northcote.
Family owned and run restaurant and it is obvious. Great service and delicious authentic food, I feel like we just popped around to friends for dinner. Delicious! We will be back!
My favourite place for Indian food! Spent a couple weeks in several parts of India, the food here definitely reminds me of my trip. Love the butter chicken, spinach cheese naan and mango lassi.
Great service and warm, friendly staff too. Can’t fault this place. I’ve been at least 5 times now and every time I’m so happy we drove the extra 30mins just to eat here!
Love to eat here.the service is quick and the food is great and It is always served hot. I drove two hours out here and it is great to eat here at the end of a day. The staff are really efficient and friendly. I would recommend to anyone who is think of coming down here for dinner.
I like to consider that I really know (and love?) my Nepalese/Indian cuizine. Savera is an absolute gem and the staff are always warm and very friendly. It's only a modest sized restaurant, so potentially it's a good idea to book if you can, though I've certainly never had any trouble re getting a table.

Great family business, they always remember my name when I order from them. The food is also great and full of flavour
By far my favourite Indian restaurant in the area. Restaurant is simple and unassuming but the food is terrific.
One of the best Indian food we have had in and around Melbourne. We have been to this place twice and in large groups. The service was good and the food didn't disappoint us.
Definetely recommended.
Sensational food and a great atmosphere. We had 3course, tested each item from each course, absolutely amazing, the real texture of Real Nepalese and indian food. The staff were very friendly and the service was exceptional. I would highly recomment this restaurant and want to go again soon.
Lovely food. Always enjoy the quality of flavours in all the dishes and lovely service from the staff
