I had so much fun at the sausage making course that I booked my daughter and I into Sara's salami course. We learnt a lot at the course and were impressed with the detailed instruction, quality of equipment, attention to hygiene and good kitchen practices. We have since made our own sausages and salami. Both courses were a lot of fun and Sara made sure everyone was supported throughout the course. The meal after the sausage making course and the charcuterie platters after the salami course were absolutely delicious.

I attended a salami making lesson in a group of 11 people.
It was fun making and learning the process of making salamis, and the host Sara was very helpful and patient and even prepared some extra food for us that night.
Given the price, it is a little expensive as after all each person receives two small salamis to take home. It's a bit disappointing that you don't get to actually keep your own-made salami from the class as all the participants salamis are batched together.
In addition, the flavour of the salami after curing was a little disappointing; it may have been the quality of the meat or the ingredients added, but it was not particularly flavoursome.

The salami making masterclass was a wonderful evening, Sara’s warmth, knowledge & patience made the whole experience a delight. Highly recommend to anyone who’s considering taking the class

Have loved the two courses we have done here (salami and prosciutto), and plan to return for more. Our salami, which we left to hang on premises, was delicious (have to wait a while yet for the prosciutto!). Sara is a very patient teacher, answers lots of questions and manages the classes with a great sense of humour. She's also an excellent cook, and the chance to taste some samples after class is a lovely end to the evening. Many thanks.

We cannot recommend the salami making course highly enough, it was just brilliant. We had so much fun making the salami and cannot wait to taste it. Enjoying a lovely bowl of pasta and delicious anti-pasta platter after the class was an unexpected bonus! Sara is so knowledgeable and giving of her time and expertise. We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back to do another course. Mick & Sally Cannon

Highly recommend. Sara is amazing, is family oriented and ensures a positive experience. I have been for 3 classes and looking forward to my 4th in February. A great way to support local businesses. Thank you for amazing sausages and salami.

We found the whole experience such fun and really good value. Sara was very instructive and has a great personality. The sausages we made were great and I can't wait eat the ones we brought home and to make more. I'm not sure what others who left bad reviews were expecting - I have been to many cooking classes all over the world and this was up there with the best!

I loved the sausage making course! Was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but I have to say I disagree with them.
The class vibe and its instructor (Sara) were friendly and educational. We got to experiment with two different meats (pork and beef) and create two of our own sausage recipes. Our pork snags were insanely good!
At the end of the night we enjoyed some of what we made (plus other meats made by the business) with a glass of great red, and some cheese. Would recommend it.

I have done 3 courses at Sausages Made Simple (Salami, Cured Meats and Prosciutto master class and highly recommend them. Sarah is a wealth of knowledge who takes joy in what she does and sharing her experience with others. It is hands on, informal and great fun that ends with something tasty to take home.

Had a brilliant time. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it was great fun and great value. Sara is an amazing host and the experience is one I hope to do again soon.

Such good fun. I had a tough time initially pitching this idea to my friends who came along in the end more out of intrigue. The evening of sausage making was brilliant. Sara is fantastic and knows both her audience and her sausages! We made and then cooked up our snags that evening and they were absolutely glorious! We had a tasting of various other meats too along with a glass of red, life didn’t get much better for me at that point. Fantastic. Sara was flexible and great to deal with and waswilling to cater for what we wanted to make the evening. Summary: absolutely no hesitation in putting this forward as a 10/10 evening. Novel + interesting + good hostess + quality food and beverage = A grade

From the tone of the reviews over the past two years it looks as though not much has changed at sausages made simple. I went to a masterclass over the summer and was treated to the same poor attitude and experience that most others have experienced. The fact that there is no effort made beyond your initial payment to actually communicate what is to be expected at the course was evident in the fact that six of the eight people that attended the course with me brought the wrong cuts of meat.or according to Sara anyway. The fact that she then berated her customers who had paid for the experience and who had received minimal to no consultation regarding the process involved was staggering. Not even an information sheet was provided.
If you do the math it’s $155 for the course+$80 meat = $235 Pancetta that, by Saras own admission, has no guarantee of being edible.
Please do not be misled by Saras online personality as you will receive none of that faux charm if you pay for, what obviously from the reviews, turns out to be a totally underwhelming experience.

Poor quality product. We bought the starter sausage making set, marketed for someone with no prior experience or knowledge of sausage making. And yet the instructions are incredibly limited, and don't tell you basic things like how small to cut the meat, or how much casing to cut.

It comes with two ingredients packs for your first two batches of sausages, but not a recipe to use once you've used those - I guess the expectation is that you will keep buying their ingredients packs! I'm also disappointed that these did not include an ingredients list. Surely the point of making your own sausages is to know what's in them?

The grinder that came with the kit did not work, either to effectively grind the meat, or stuff the sausages. We will send it back so that the company can inspect and advise whether it's a faulty grinder, or if the poor performance is as expected. I will update my review with this information once resolved.

Ripoff. She doesn't let you take photos and for good reason. Our group made 3 each and then left them there for the 6 weeks of curing. On picking them up, there was 1 and a half each. Very rushed experience too, with no real care taken. AVOID!

No Care - no responsibility. Goods ordered arrived damaged. When I asked was told it was not their fault and it was up to me to return the goods - at my expense? They then chose to ignore follow up emails

Avoid the rip off. Poor ingredients = poor product. God knows where they get their pork from but it is shocking. If you want a truely amazing, authentic experience hit up the guys at The Meat Room.

Had done two courses last year and highly recommend them. The Salami and Copacollo classes. Clearly understood all aspects of the making, no rush treatment, everything in one fantastic workshop. More important finished product "Magnifico" *****!
