SAUL'S SANDWICHES reviews
63I walked in and got greeted with a nice smile from the staff. And got recommended for the Pastrami sandwich. The sandwich was meaty and tangy, bread was well toasted. Delicious. A great place to find a sandwich for lunch. Price was reasonable. Would go back and try a different sandwich another day!
Wow did this make my mouth water. My sandwich on sourdough bread was amazeballs. Will go back for sure.
We ordered three items. The pickle chips were amazing, we had them with ranch and the crumbing/coating was incredible. Our subs however were quite average, I had the cold cuts and honestly they weren’t anything special whilst my partner had the eggplant Parma which seemed to lack some flavour. Overall a solid place for lunch.
They're back to 5 stars!
I just had the weekly Meatball Sub special - Brilliant. Balanced flavours.

A great daily special - Roast Porchetta. Staff were fabulous. We'll be back!

It was an awesome little joint, stuck in the middle of a back block in the burbs. I have had their Tuna Melt Three times now and each time it has been great.
Amazing sandwiches! A decent small takeaway store at the corner of Neerim Road and Koornang Road. You won’t missed it as there’s always a line outside the store. Have tried almost all the options in the menu. We liked them all but our favourite is always Chicken Parm! Juicy Chicken Schnitzel with tasty cheese. Always satisfying. Good pricing. Generous portion. Polite and efficient staff.
Amazing customer service, very cool, patient and informative team of young professionals, matched with amazing food, the high quality of staff working and ingredients used makes this sandwich spot definitely stand out.
Got the chicken sandwich which was very mediocre. Expensive for what l got, not worth the hype. Disappointed!
Have had Saul's several times before. Drop in quality this time was extreme.
Eggplant sandwich had the toughest, cheapest, old white bread (used to be a nice sourdough I think) and there was barely any eggplant in the cutlet; mainly just fried breadcrumbs which felt like I was eating tough fried bread inside tough, old bread. Really a jaw work out. Looked and tasted cheap.
My partner had a breakfast muffin, with the cheese not having melted at all and the meat was very pink in the centre (probably was cooked tbf but did not inspire confidence). Tasted alright but was kind of bland as well. We've had the vegan one a while ago and that was way better.
Unfortunately the price was quite high for the low quality, definitely not worth it anymore. Hope they can increase the quality again. Otherwise, as mentioned by others, there are many wonderful places to eat in Carnegie.
Saul's what happened? The bread was clearly stale. I am a regular customer who usually comes in but after today it makes me think twice. Just really really ordinary, the only reason I've given 3 stars is the consistency up until this point.
Have been going to the Bentleigh store for a while but, was in Carnegie so thought I would give it a try, the shop is smaller in comparison and location is a little awkward (busy road, not much street parking), but the service and quality of the food is still great, had the pastrami sandwich, delicious as always, 8/10
Sandwiches that are jam packed with ingredients.
The smoked pastrami was excellent.
Expect to spend around $15 for a sandwich here.
Need to rename the pastrami sandwich to Salad Sandwich instead. Sauls Carnegie has changed.
Prices have gone up and they’ve reduced the amount of meat in the sandwich, and made the salad extremely saucy.
Hot Bird is a much better alternative.
Delicious decadent sandwiches/burgers. It gets messy. Would be nice to have a couple of extra options but better to do a few things well, I guess. Staff are friendly.
Good poisening alert! Completely RAW meat party that they didn't even offer to replace. Disgusting. Manager did not care. GROSS
Roast chicken sandwich - fantastic ingredients in a mediocre meal. Sopping wet with mayonnaise. The only flavor was mustard. Filling literally flowed like a thick liquid. Messy, nothing like a normal sanger. Could barely finish half and needed to wash afterwards. I can't describe the mouth sensation when eating the thing.
Great OJ, exceptional cold brew coffee. Will go back for that. But not for the sandwiches.
Such a fantastically well implemented sandwich bar on a tiny property, wherein you order your meal and then wait on the footpath, chatting with other customers who are also waiting for their orders. Upon receiving our order, we then walked across the road and sat in a lovely little public park space which was almost designed for just such a use. As very enjoyable experience!
Friendly service to go along with delicious sandwiches, what more can you ask for? Sandwiches were packed full of goodies and toasted to perfection, very satisfying.
Don’t order online. You’re paying extra than paying in store plus it’s slower than ordering in store.
Limited menu, gets more
limited as they day goes on.
Pastrami sandwich
was good, plenty of ingredients but hugely overpriced. $18 for something you’d expect to pay $12 max.
If you haven’t tries Saul’s it’s worth a try, you might love it and consider $18 okay - too much for me anymore.
Love their vegan muffins! Unfortunately they had a 30 minute wait today at 1.30 which I couldn't do. Will be back!
