Sassy Thai Ringwood

Best Thai in Melbourne hands down. Not only that, the staff actually take the time to get to know their clientele. When I came in tonight to get my Friday night Thai I was greeted BY NAME! Now that is great if you've been there 20 times but this was maybe my 4th time. Special mention to the wonderful Jay who made me feel like a special client. Beyond that, the food is always incredible and I've been to Thailand and eaten authentic Thai. This is as good as you will get in Melbourne.

Not authentic Thai as clearly it’s for the Western taste. However, the curry dishes are full of flavour with excellent portion size and the satay sauce is awesome. However, minus one star as they can’t cook rice. It’s always overcooked and gluggy. Otherwise, it’s an excellent place with very friendly staff.

The food here is amazing, can't fault. Good flavours, good food and most importantly, good quantities. These guys are one of the few takeaway restaurants that don't stinge it in quantity sizes and all the good stuff. Thanks sassy

Similar to other reviews, this place is amazing! Most authentic Thai food in Melbourne, fresh and tasty, and service was great. Make sure you pick up a bottle of their home made satay sauce!

Flavoursome food, value for money. The portion size was enough for a family of 2. Will definitely dine in soon some day.

The food is amazing! Above average quality, above average portions, above average service, below average prices.
I hesitated before ordering drinks due to the music and lighting (lights were a bit bright) but when I mentioned this to the manager she was SUPER receptive. I'll try dining in again in hopes that the atmosphere accommodates a more desirable and relaxing experience.

I couldn't knock a star off due to just how good the food was and just how nice the staff were.

Honestly one of the best value restaurants in the whole tri-suburb area (Ringwood, Heathmont & Ringwood East (of course)

I had previously given Sassy Thai a 5 star review and while the food is still fantastic, on the last 5 occasions it’s taken 20-50 minutes longer than the wait time I was quoted. Whilst I understand that’s not always an easy thing to time, I feel that it is far too long to be standing in store waiting for. I understand if they’re busy the food may take an hour, but quote an hour so we come at the correct time.

Prompt, good service from friendly staff. Menu was varied and interesting, small wine list but good quality, BYO is there so bring your own drop. Food was superb, fresh ingredients and the flavours were spot on. Take away service too. I will go back for sure!

The Green Papaya Salad is out of this world and if you can handle the heat ask for “Thai hot”.
Great service and great food.

Very nice food with lovely decor. The food came quickly and the service was lovely. The chargrilled pork was really nice but got a little boring as it was just meat with the salad and not much sauce. The mussaman curry was incredibly delicious. We even bought a jar of satay sauce because the homemade satay that we had with the roti bread was so nice. Very reasonably priced as well. We will definately be coming back.

Food was fantastic - chicken satay sticks & massaman Beef cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere internally too.
